I believe Dr. Starrett is a functional physician! I hear him talking about the root cause of injures. Only interested in doctors that practice functional medicine! Love what Dr. Starrett has to say. Thanks for having him on your show!

So so helpful in hearing Dr. Starrett’s perspective on the needs of the way we can better manage our patients and clients movement health! I am so motivated as an office ergonomics OT that I can help many who want to get better function and quality of life especially if they have not known how to be active and are having difficulty changing their behaviors! TY Bob & Brad for having him on! 🔥

I have watched many Dr Kelly Starrett videos because so many well respected coaches and therapists gush about his work but when I listen to him I just wish he would get down to brass tacks and skip the blah blah. Perhaps his videos are directed more towards PTs who understand his jargon ? I watch Bob and Brad bcz they can take his knowledge and dumb it down to a level I can relate to and put into practice. Are his books for the average person ? I am sure he has lots to teach me. I just have to figure out how to decipher the code. Or perhaps I am too impatient...that is very possible.

It's not even that he's saying anything really. I feel duped, like when I click a link to find out the best way to kill basement mold and realize I'm in an infomercial that's eventually going to send me to a pay wall before they tell me what to do about my basement. Bob and Brad are the opposite of this loquacious self-important twerp.

Read Supple Leopard. When speaking, Kelly uses a compressed language that will be off putting for people who haven't made "bracing", "internal rotation", "valgus fault", etc part of their regular vocabulary (with proper understanding of course).

I listened to most of this, and it’s very inspirational. But, it seems to be mostly geared towards people who are participating in sports like lifting weights. My husband looked at one of his books, and it’s over $100! Then I checked out his website, and again, this seems geared towards people who are very athletic. What about older people who want to stay physically fit? I’m almost 70, and I want to be mobile, strong, and flexible. I don’t want to throw around kettle balls, and I really hurt myself doing pull ups. In fact, it seems like I’m constantly pulling a muscle or doing something to hurt myself. This never happened when I was younger, and I’m so discouraged.

Yes, stick with Bob and Brad. They show you and tell you. I'm 63 and know how easy it is do damage. B and B talk about things you can do before you even get out of bed and how to do push ups against a wall etc. Go slow and if you feel pain, back it up and do the easier level you started on. I do little things to make an effortless task, like walking to the car with my purse, just a little bit more difficult; doing a bicep curl with my purse as I walk, switching sides to keep myself symmetrical. A year ago I couldn't bend either knee more than about 45 degrees, now finally I can do 90 degrees. It's slow going but every improvement is gratifying. Good luck, don't push too hard and don't give up. Find the happy medium.

Bob and Brad have several videos for seniors. If you go to their channel page, by clicking on their "Bob & Brad" title you can search their channel for "seniors" and it will show you the vids they've done with "seniors" in the title. Also, you can search all of TH-cam for "chair aerobics for seniors" or "zumba for seniors" or "chair yoga" or "balance exercises for" etc. One thing I suggest noticing is if it's a 20 year old leading the workout it might not be appropriate, lol.

Get the Virtual Mobility subscription. The fascia manipulations and other things in it will help you tremendously. The subscription is inexpensive. About 150 for a year. You are right, other products are for professionals who make a living coaching. So, those are expensive, and you don't need them either.

Hear to Hear to information warning sign to pain. Changing the soothing concept is great. The Question that I have is .... poor management thryroid disease with zero metabolism wt gain....due to calcification of thyroid to subsequent two hemithyroidectomys the poor supplementation to poor management of reading lab to genetic need of also needing a T3 in conjunction of T4 to poor QA of pharma productions too. Ultimately, huge now. How to start the stair steps. Severe hypothyroidism you don't move this went on for 7 years then off and on now too due to T3 oxidizes easily ...Thanks..
