I lived in the Seattle area when the sonics left and even though I'm a bulls fan it was devastating when they left

I would love to see a one protected player per team full NBA draft. Make it an super event and have all NBA players not protected redrafted. Who ever gets last pick in the first round gets first round next rookie draft rights and so on. After first year rookie draft goes back to lottery system.
Boston signed the 2 highest contracts in NBA history over the last 2 years. They won the title this year, so their value is high. The NBA also signed a new TV deal, which increases every franchises value. So this team has the highest value that it's going to have right now, and is going to have to let it's players go (and lose that value) or pay into the luxury tax and become less profitable, or even go into the red. Selling high makes sense for Boston. Contracts are increasing massively, and a new TV deal is nice. But there is a limit to what owners can charge for ticket sales. There is a limit to what owners can charge for ticket sales in Memphis vs New York. The TV deal raises contracts, the amount of revenue generated isn't going to be enough to cover that for all teams. The Celtics owner realizes this and is selling before the bubble bursts. Small market teams are not going to be able to compete. This is NOT the time to expand the NBA. The NBA needs to figure out it's finances before they hit a brick wall.

He’s been the best thing that has came out the trade so far. If he becomes a reliable shooter and/or slasher, He’s going to be in starting lineup for the next 5+ years because he’s already a really solid defender capable of guarding multiple positions.
So if they bring a team to Vegas & Seattle then who should go to the East, Memphis or Minnesota?

New Jersey had a team with a healthy supportive fanbase, and it moved across the river to Brooklyn. Theres no jeed to try it again. 3 teams in that small of an area doesn't make sense.
No one will ever want to play for a team thats out in haiwaii. Its too far. The traveling will be a nightmare. Players already complain about traveling out of Toronto.

Seattle and Vega$$$ are locks. As a Montrealer, I didn't see the need for ESPN to mention my city even though I think we'd be a great NBA town.

Funny...NBA isn't expanding to a recent city or a new American one.. It's Mexico City and an over seas City...NBA wants to be global n with travel advanced it's becoming possible.. Like the NFL
I just wish NBA had a Team relegation model where the weakest teams get relegated to make room for teams that get promoted to the NBA are vetted by playing in a lower league. I don't want to see another Detroit pistons/Charlotte/Washington wizard. Adding weak teams to the NBA will water down its quality. Playing in the NBA should be a privilege not a right.
