- Making Hay in the Florida Sunshine
I recently visited a farm and ranch south of Sebring Florida for some in field tractor training with the Linder Machinery Group who recently took on the Deutz Fahr Tractor Line.
In this video I have some footage as we were getting the machinery ready and test running it in the field before the training event took place.
Running in the Field is a
Deutz Fahr 7250 TTV Tractor with Pottinger Triple Mower Conditioners
Deutz Fahr 6230 TTV Tractor with a Pottinger Baler Wrapper Combo
Deutz Fahr 6155 Tractor with a Pottinger Impress 3160 V Round Baler
We had good weather and got to mow and bale lots of hay in the Florida Sunshine. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
So much Equipment from Germany and Austria..... 🧐☺️😁👍👏
If u need or want quality ...
Love how the european implements all talk to the tractor with ISO-bus so you dont need to drag a huge umbilical cord into the cab with a proprietary control system for every single thing.... only europe could develop something so effective, clean, well-designed, standards-compliant (and no, gallons of fuel, pounds of red meat and caliber of ammo are not standards lmao) , and most importantly, consumer-friendly. In MURICA, the tractor and the implements would be so locked down (to ensure maximum profits and wealth-siphoning to the 1% - typical american off-the-rails capitalism 😂) that the only way this would happen is if you bought *everything* from the same manufacturer... and we all know it would be Apple Deere... err I mean, John Deere. lmao.

Watching your videos Mike are very educational, and make the people aware of how hard farmers work to feed us, God bless the farmers, and you Mike for sharing your very important videos, keep them coming.
Wow Mike. What an awesome video. Great combinations in the field. Thanks
Duetz is one of my top choices to buy. My uncle still has a Deutz-Allis round baler my grandfather bought in the 1980s and still bales 2000 acres of timothy and clover hay a year
Great equipment ! And a great video that’s very informative. Thanks Mike !
Bailing hay and right next to ya are alligators. That's different. Great video Mike.
Cut bail rap. Fascinating sequence. I like Mike because you always show me farming procedures. I have never seen before.
Happy subscriber 😊!
Thanks for another great Video featuring Deutz-Fahr equipment Mike! Greetings from Germany 😄
That’s a neat mower, he can sure cover ground with that, nice 👍👍
Those triples won’t even break a sweat on that nice dry grass. They’re designed to work in Europe to mow wet grass. 👍
One of my favorite videos you have done. Cheers!
Great to Hear an Irish Man working for an Austrian Company making Hay in Florida. Sounds like a West of Ireland fella as well.
Great footage Mike!! Pretty nice looking Deutz hat you got there!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Technology certainly hasn't overlooked the haymaking business.
A big change from a 7' sickle mover and a JD 14T. Great vid sir.
Again, great, great videos.
Hello everyone great vidéo thanks mike less this is a great equipement européen tractor
In a few days here in Québec, Canada I wiil be baling silage with the same baler exept that it's the PRO version with 32 knives. Great video Mike
Even the alligators are interested in deutz tractors😅👍 the mower and baler/wrapper combination is cool😄👍
great video Mike
Good setup
Good video.
Great Vid 👍👍👍👍👍👍
How many snakes were bailed up? Bet there were a few. Thanks for the video
Baler looks like it really bales a nice bale.
Awesome video Mike ! Love those three deck mowers.
Seems a very poor crop. But at least you've got great tractors. Been a Deutz Fahr owner for twenty years. The most reliable tractors I've ever had. Better than the other green tractors.
Hi from the UK.
My uncle still has and uses the Deutz-Allis round baler my grandfather bought in the 1980s...it's been a great piece of equipment
Hope it is not too hot out there. Usually Airconditioning on Deutz Fahr Tractors is prettyy weak so you will swaet a lot . Nice Video thanks
It was 85 Fahrenheight and the Air Conditioning was working great.
Couldn’t agree more, Old Same tractors had fantastic air control
And thats why u have window on cab and front windsheald to open 😂😂
Hey, as a German it’s always nice to see german and austrian brands in America. But I have never seen such combination over there. I'm wondering because you Americans always have a different kind of farming machinery. I specifically mean the EU three point system in the rare und the front hydraulics. Very nice!
Are you going to go swimming in that ditch it looks cool and inviting don't mind the critters they won't bit😂😂😂
Great Video Mike, There are a few things I dislike, alligators and snakes are two of them, thanks for sharing
Mowing and bailing at the same time...intresting and scruffy looking hay on top of that,Great Video Mike.
Do any of the Deutz tractors have a dual rear wheel option? Can't recall seeing one in many years.
Mike, you know Trevor Bales? He makes hay out in AZ and out there they use steamers when they bale. Interesting
Yes steamers are used mostly out west. Don't think they need them in Florida.
Cracking video Mike... one question.. is the information about implement downloaded to the tractor or on a on board chip on the implement its self
Isobus is a common language control system. For instance those triple mowers can be setup so that one press of a button can lift & lower them in sequence at the headland. It will also lower the speed of the tractor to allow the turn to be made. 👍
Thanks mike for this video. Mike those triple mowers did they have conditioning rolls in them ., the pottingner equipment is it sold by duetz .i like the baler with the wrapper on the back of it .
Did you see any alligators in fields while you were there mike.
The mowers did have conditioning rolls in them. Only saw the gators in the ditches and not in the field. No snakes either. Pottinger is a separate company.
Nice European setup in the Florida fields ;)
Front mowers allways look so big from above. Allmost as big as tractor in this case!
I am curious as to why they keep a wrapped bale on the end of the baler?
I put two bales next to each other with the impress to collect both at same time
Nothing like quick dip in the water hole after baling all day...or not.!!
Pottinger make great stuff, whats the HP for running the baler with max knives running?
Not sure on the HP needed. These tractors had plenty and we ran all the knives in for a few bales.
For Pöttinger, 90hp for a normal baler, and 130hp for a combibaler, according their website. Their balers are heavier than most other brands tho.
got the vario combi last year, the 3160 vc. its been a great baler. its an heavier baler but its well built and got the impression of her shes built to last. I run her on my swb Case Puma 165 thats rated 210 with boost at the engine. It runs that baler super easily with all the knives (keep em sharp) and even working on the hills and slopes. I dont need or want any more horses but want id like is more weight and grip on the slopes though so might go up a size later on. But regarding the hp requirements id recommend a 6cyl up from 150hp to use it comfortably. smaller hp tractors will pull it but theire also quite lightweight
Is it so hot in Florida that they don't need ted their hay?
So dry and dusty. Where does one go for service on a Pottinger in Florida?
That PTO shaft went on way too easy! C'mon...that's part of the battle lol
And his hands weren't black with grease either 😂
I was wondering how it was possible to make hay out there, considering the high humidity from being so close to the equator, ask me how I know this after I’ve been living in a different part of Florida for almost 4 years
I'm told lots of the dry hay is made October - April.
Didn't see you wrestle and gaiters!
I guess that’s practical somewhere.
I like Mike less videos on TH-cam from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
👍🚜💪💪
😎😎
Mow, bale and rap at the same time. That requires skill.
You have excellent video Do you have any information on the old back in the sixty The McKee harvest The latest ones were self unloading We had one that wasn't Had a old rear end for a wench Then forked into the blower It was a great for a one man operation Setting the big pipes up in the barn was a treat 😂 They we're like 16 inches Thanks 👍
Hello Mike I gave a like
Hello brother
Hello! European Green tractors!
I'm really surprised to see so much european farming equipment.
Always thought brands like Pöttiniger don't exsist in the US.
❤️🌸🌸😊👏👏👏
I AM NOT RANCH ER , BUT WHY CAN'T WE CUT AND BALE.THE SAME DAY. IT WOULD CUT DOWN ON THE COST ?
You can if you’re making silage hay
Como consigo alavancar meu canal, sou do 🇧🇷
YONI
Rough ground and feed. Looks like dried out fescue......feel sorry for the cows who eat that
Must be alright as they bale a lot of hay down here.
That is the worst hay I have ever seen!!!
Because you don’t have an actual clue and just talking out your ass.
