I was amazed by how brilliantly the bunker-filling process was choreographed from the the non-stop harvesters to the plastic rolling and tire stackers! Plus I want to applaud you for your wonderful editing, especially how you master the sound so that you don't hurt our ears with sudden spikes in volume from saws and loud equipment. Your channel deserves an award for presentation and content! Bravo!!💗
Filling all three in one go is setting yourselves a big challenge. Great to see all that winter feed secured. And not forgetting the other people who are doing the milking etc. all this while.
Eric I have watched every video that you’ve posted to TH-cam long time fan of you and your father and I would just like to say I couldn’t be prouder of the job that you and your father do, both you and your father are prime examples of what hard-working decent people can accomplish, while being so beneficial to others as well. Keep up the good work and I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Even though I have watch this harvest for several years, I always enjoy seeing the teamwork it takes to get the harvest completed. Excellent explanation of what is happening!
Back in the day when we still had our dairy I remember the bunker getting filled with chopped corn and that unique smell as the D-8 Cat pushed and packed the silage down making sure it would be ready for winter. Then when the snow was flying the cows were so happy to get that steaming hot silage to warm them. Thanks for the memories. It makes me want to milk a cow. LOL.
Corn silage harvest is my absolute favorite video! Your harvest company is fast & efficient. You and your family are great too. Top notch equipment & a beautiful crop. I'm glad you talked about the toxic gases!
Thank you for posting this process. I live in a rural area with dairy cattle and have always wondered about silage. There is a lot of corn grown in my area and I see the harvesters working in various fields, collecting crops. I am pretty familiar with hay production, but you have shown me another product. Thanks for your hard work and efficiency!
Wow Eric! You and your family have taken corn silage harvest to a whole new level! Tremendous video footage including detailed audio! Congratulations and job well done. Back in the 80’s when I was dairy farming. Bunker storage was kind of frowned on because there tended to be a lot of spoiled feed. However the way you are using the plastic liners and inoculates. Along with your incredible fast harvesting team. You have really transformed bunker storage into cost a effective feed storage system. Compare your system to vertical storage silos. And I don’t think there is any way that you could have harvested 3,000 tons and blew it into vertical storage in 24 hours. Plenty of good feed now for the girls going into winter. God’s blessings….and now get some sleep😊
0:15 Great job capturing the efficiency of modern harvesting techniques! It's always inspiring to see how technology is transforming farming. Keep up the awesome content!
When we were in the dairy business in the 60s and 70s we had a two row corn chopper and two carts. Some of our fields were several miles away and one person did the cutting and hauling to a fifty foot upright silo. It would probably take us a month to chop that much silage and put it away. We used to store our silage in an in ground pit that didn’t have concrete sides. We had one cow that would stand at the base of our upright silo and lick the juices oozing out and she would basically get drunk.
Hi Eric. it is interesting to watch different farm operations. Your bunk solutions are very different from the other farms I watch over in the UK. And your solutions seem a lot better thought out and efficient and useful to protect the silage in the bunk. I think your model could be duplicated on other farms to better their operations.
Fantastic, very well done to all of you. I love your videos and have been watching for about 4 years. I love watching what goes on on your farm and the variety of jobs you have to do, not just the farming side of it.
Fantastic harvest video Eric! You hit all the old favorite highlights and added a couple new ones! Glad you got it done and that it was a productive season.
Hi Eric! Make sure you get those panels cleaned to get the most kWh out of them! I'm about to go into my masters (4th and final) year of Renewable Energy Engineering at university so I'm very happy to see you get them installed. I was thinking of messaging you a year or two ago to offer to do a mock solar design for your buildings - glad to see you came up with the idea too. Would like to have the solar PV topic come up more in future videos. All the best.
I've watched your harvesting process a number of times. I'm still amazed by how organized you and the crews are at getting the bunkers filled and covered. It's a well choreographed process. I enjoyed the music also. Stay safe.
Congratulations on the excellent harvest given the dry times the US had this year! Oh, I like your yearly tradition of shooting the corn into the bunker closest to the fields!
Amazing video Eric! Congratulations on getting the corn silage completed. Excellent custom crew! Great work by everyone. Lovely Versatile. Thanks for the video!
Love your Chanel. I’m learning a bunch about dairy farming. Great videography Eric. I want to complement you for your wholesome character. I can leave my grandkids watching & not have to worry about crude comments, or foul & vulgar language. You & your family are a class act. Thanks Eric.
Glad you got them filled just about full. Hope you have plenty until next harvest. Great vid. It looks like you and your crew have everything squared away on the process.
Something so satisfying about watching this harvesting. It's got to be a great and reassuring feeling to have the bunks full of silage, almost like having money in the bank... Thanks for your great videos, Eric.
When I was a kid growing up in Northern Indiana we did almost all of our harvesting around the clock, but we used the night most. 6pm to 8am was go time. It avoided working in the heat of the day and traffic. Plus there's a vibe about working in darkness by the flood lights of the machines. Made it not seem like work as much without the blazing heat.
Thanks Eric for sharing your life experiences and family business. Watching your videos is always an enjoyable and learning experience! Here's wishing you and your family all the best and continued success in all you do. Simply put, thanks for sharing your life with us! 👍
Very well done to all the guy's and girls great job everyone .Eric you look tired and happy very nice to have this years corn harvest done .Great video as well all the best to you and family
Talk about hard working 24 hour crews it was like a machine. Thank goodness there was no rain and everything worked perfectly. Changing and odd tire in the middle of the night. I knew they could do it. All done until next year. Thanks Eric and family plus the harvesting crews. Amazing work.
Your Dad has added quite a few more gray hairs since you started this channel, and I hope he'll stay healthy and strong for many more decades yet. Kudos to you all for a well done job. The cows are happy, you are happy and we are definitely very happy to watch you all work and toil. 🙂
The amazing scene of the harvester throwing the chaff from the field directly into the bunk. That's what catched my attention on the thumbnail and after that I just kept watching every video of this channel as soon as they were launched. Regards from Brazil!
The most exciting time of the year on the farm, harvest season!!! Also super impressive the chopping team was able to find a new tire at 3am in the middle of no where, and have it installed in 30 mins or so.... that's pretty freaking cool.
there is so much effort and coordination over such a small period of time!! you guys grew for so long just to bang this work out in a day! incredible how well you guys work and that the people even got a new tire at 3am!!
Awesome photography! Great video! I really enjoy watching your videos. Your dedication and passion for dairy farming really shows. Can't wait till the next video! Thank You!
I drove by the fields near me and they are just starting to chop silage. They have to haul back to their farm on the roads so they use trucks and trailers. There is one of those choppers in town and I pulled up next to it in my car at the stop light and that's when I got a sense of the scale of the machine.
Congratulations to you and to all your crew for another successful harvest It looks fun and easy on video but I'm sure it's a lot of work on few hours of sleep. A standing ovation for you all!!! Thanks as always for creating content and greetings from El Paso, TX!
Can't believe it's the fifth corn silage season already. Been following your channel for the past 4 years and I'm always looking forward to new videos. Great job once again with this one. I was also thinking. Would it be a cool idea to make a compilation of best/funniest moments for new years eve for example? I would like that. If you end up making such a video, you know that the dairyman ice slip save definetely has to be in there😁.
Amazing TEAMWORK!!! Great video.Awesome that your neighbor has some extra feed to sell you to fill your silo. Your community is what the.American spirit is. God Bless.
Thanks for a fantastic video of this very big operation. I have seen this done a few times but not on this very big scale. Everything is timing and you folks sure did a great job. The chopper operator and the whole crew are real professionals for sure.
Running 24 hours straight is really putting in a days work! You have a great crew to work with, and you stay with them. Excellent video, and amazing job.
It's nice to see the harvest. It's one of the best times of the year. Some unnecessary knowledge: The bucket at 23:22 on the skid steer says "Steinsammler". It's German for "rock collector"
I love watching how other people do things in other states I’m from California we have giant piles with a tarp over it on a cement slab we hit a record on our ranch this year we pulled 31 1/2 ton an acre on 900 acres 🤘🏼
Interesting to see America finally discovering the push-off buck rake 10:19 ;-) Nice tractors that Fendt and the Versatile. Glad you got all your crop in. Btw 12:39 is what all us regulars came here for ;-)
Using old pipe to cover the rough areas on the wall for the storage yards, using pipe is quite Novel but I’d of cut the pipe just a little longer than needed so that you could melt each section to the next on the joints - just an idea - great educational farming videos keep up the good work
Wow, great vid...I will never use dairy products again without thinking of what it takes to make it happen...thanks to your informative and thorough presentation...and entertaining watching eric work..lol...thank you ...
I was amazed by how brilliantly the bunker-filling process was choreographed from the the non-stop harvesters to the plastic rolling and tire stackers! Basics to make a really good video is present it like you do in an essay for a job description title, body, and ending to it too
Pl
i have a question , approx how many cubic feet of silage will each of the bunkers hold?
Filling all three in one go is setting yourselves a big challenge. Great to see all that winter feed secured. And not forgetting the other people who are doing the milking etc. all this while.
😢
Hi Hillo my name is Sohail I need Jobe four this

So fascinating to watch this process. Thank you, Eric for sharing your farm life. 👏
Watching corn silage for 4 years now
Still satisfying to watch
Even though I have watch this harvest for several years, I always enjoy seeing the teamwork it takes to get the harvest completed. Excellent explanation of what is happening!
I am always shocked, that it is this time of the year again, time goes by so fast, didn't they just fill their bunkers...?
Back in the day when we still had our dairy I remember the bunker getting filled with chopped corn and that unique smell as the D-8 Cat pushed and packed the silage down making sure it would be ready for winter. Then when the snow was flying the cows were so happy to get that steaming hot silage to warm them. Thanks for the memories. It makes me want to milk a cow. LOL.
Been waiting all year for this video Eric! Thank you for feeding America with your family and also this wonderful relaxing content.
Corn silage harvest is my absolute favorite video! Your harvest company is fast & efficient. You and your family are great too. Top notch equipment & a beautiful crop. I'm glad you talked about the toxic gases!
Good to see those bunkers filled again Eric! Great video.
I’ve watched this process for several years it seems here…it never gets old! Thanks.🙏🇺🇸
Eric, I live for that yearly shot of the chopper shooting straight into the bunk. Why? I have no idea. 😂 Congrats on another wonderful harvest.
The corn silage harvest is my favorite 10th Gen. video each year! Thank you again for all your hard work 👏🌽🐮.
Thank you for posting this process. I live in a rural area with dairy cattle and have always wondered about silage. There is a lot of corn grown in my area and I see the harvesters working in various fields, collecting crops. I am pretty familiar with hay production, but you have shown me another product. A very well planned operation by all. I see why you outsource the harvesting. You did an excellent job producing this video.
I remember the days when we chopped with a 2 row pull type chopper. Do not missed those days
Eric, always amazing how everything comes together. The teamwork was great. It was nice seeing the young ones willing to help and work hard.
Very Impressive operation; beautiful harvest; Synchronized Teamwork! I never get tired of watching this family's dairy. Congratulations!!
Great harvest! People from the suburbs don't have any idea what goes on at farms. Thanks for teaching us. You're doing excellent work.
Thank you for taking us along during this hectic operation! Was fun to watch god bless!🇺🇸

Such a good feeling, having that done ready for winter. Proud of you
Appreciate the explanation of your plastic covering your bunks…and the use of your sand bags and culvert pipe to protect your plastic from rips
0:15 Great job capturing the efficiency of modern

Keep up the awesome content!
The efficiency is staggering! Well done.
I love the Clarity of all your comments, well worth watching , thank you

Filling 3 bunks in one session is a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT & takes good coordination from the whole team
12:48 The money shot we wait for all year lol

Been watching the channel for a long time now. Silage videos are always my favorite, but this is the best video you’ve put out yet.
Great family business! Good to see the sisters hard at work!
Sitting in my cubicle at the office, I love this time of year! Great video. It must feel great to have those bunks filled.
I played farming simulator 2015 on the PS3, and my favorite thing to do was to pack and sell silage. this is great to learn and watch. Thank you
Been watching you for awhile, and forgot you were closer then most farm tubers I watch, cause I'm in Bucks Co. PA
God bless Harvest 2023. We thank all farmers!

Chopping and bunker filling ballet! Fascinating process.

Love the smell of silage. It's great your video's show what it takes to farm.
Thank you and your family for feeding America
Waited four years to see the chopper offload straight into the bunk again…🎉😂🎉 best ASMR of harvest, in my opinion.
👌🇬🇧😎🇺🇸🤘m-E-m
My favorite time of the year to watch your channel.

I have seen this done a few times but not on this very big scale.
Everything is timing and you folks sure did a great job.
The chopper operator and the whole crew are real professionals for sure.
Eric , you should have a picnic for everyone that help out getting the silage and milking done for this winter.
This is the 4th or 5th silage harvest I've watched. Thanks brother for all of these videos!
I always look forward to your corn silage videos, you take great care of those bunks.
Running 24 hours straight is really putting in a days work! You have a great crew to work with, and you stay with them. Excellent video, and amazing job.
Your harvest crew is amazing. Can’t imagine how many it takes on that crew to run round the clock!!
It's nice to see the harvest. It's one of the best times of the year.
Some unnecessary knowledge:
The bucket at 23:22 on the skid steer says "Steinsammler". It's German for "rock collector"
The push blade / bucket on the Fendt seems to do a great job & very versatile
Beautiful county lived in NJ many decades trucked in your area many times enjoyed those days.Deffinatly enjoy yor videos
I take my hat off to all of you guys. Filling all 3 bunkers and still having all the rest of the farm work to do (milking cows, feeding)
Great to see all that winter feed secured
Congratulations on a successful season!!!

Really impressive work and a really effort by everyone well done and you got the shot of the harvester chopping into the bunk ! great video
Congrats. That was awesome. Always enjoy the chopper sending it to the bunk.
Pretty awesome to get it all done that fast Eric, corn is dry here in Vermont, even with all the rain we have had
Cows absolutely can and do digest whole corn!
I love these videos. I don’t know why but it’s very satisfying watching the bunkers fill and the whole process. Excellent videos 😁
What you need to store the half tires is a long horizontal pole. Put them on there when not using
Wow, great vid...I will never use dairy products again without thinking of what it takes to make it happen...thanks to your informative and thorough presentation...and entertaining watching eric work..lol...thank you ...
Great video brother from the imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲🚜🌽🌽🌽
