Love how your dad is showing you things on your bike and explaining things in laymen terms, cherish these moments. look forward to more videos ride safe. cheers!! :)
Hi Laura another great video Thank you Looking forward to more of your videos & nice to see your Dad helping you very cool Very nice Mustang as well Hope everything goes well getting ready for your trip Take care for now 😎😎
Good afternoon Laura! I liked the video and the music all together turned out very cool. It’s not very pleasant to drive in the rain; it’s cold; it’s not comfortable to drive in the rain, but it’s necessary. My hands are freezing, although I have warm special gloves and I warmed my hands, either my right hand on the engine cylinder or my left. I had adventures, especially at night, all sorts of things happened. Thank you for the video and good luck on the road!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🌠
Hi Laura, good to see you with your dad doing some maintenance. Someone made a comme t about the sloppy way he gapped your plugs. Ive always gapped mine that way. My Honda has 130,000 miles on it being gapped that way and ive only changed the plugs once in all that time. You have a great trip and take care of yourself 😘
You kid are full of surprises.. Fisherman, Harley rider and crash survivor, you like the color of your hair and I see you and Steve Mcqueen share a passion for the same cars. Rebel Girl (Bikini Kill)
I was stood up last year on kijiji also.. I was selling something and went out of my way to show buddy the item... he never showed up, never called me, nothing. I'm pretty easy going, but that pissed me off. Enjoyed this prep video...your dad seem's to be a jack of all trades. Keep up the good work & looking forward to the trailer video.
It’s so frustrating, isn’t it?! I feel the same way- I don’t get annoyed too often, I’m pretty laid back… but man, was that ever annoying 😫. Hopefully neither of us experience getting Kijiji stood up again, haha! All the best!
very cool doing all that with your dad and learning that stuff, do you guys ever ride together? a drive in that car is a heck of a way to reclaim your day! lol
We used to when I first got the bike! But then I moved away- with work, I’m only able to visit in the colder months. I hope to ride with him again though!
I love this video! Be careful on your trip & keep an eye on your fuel pump. It's sounded a little suspect. I also recommend the Fobo 2 TPMS sensors for your tires if you don't have any. I have them & think they're great. If you get low tire pressure while your riding; you will get a warning on your phone.
@lauradanielle1991 That is such a pity and this is just a suggestion, but can't you get help with your anxiety. I'm seeing a therapist for my depression, it might help you. ❤
Haha! Glad to share- I dented it 11 years ago- it was my second year with the bike and I hit the soft shoulder on a country highway. The handlebars folded and there was a lot of damage (both to the bike, and myself! I got wicked road rash on my knees and chipped my teeth). I actually rolled then slid on my back on the highway! When I stopped, I was laying in the middle of the highway and stairing up at the sun, wondering if the sun was actually “the light” people see before dying…. I had also been listening to Joni Mitchell’s “both sides now” at the time, and that song was playing in my ear while I thought I was dying. Every time I hear that song I think back to it. I can laugh about it now, though! I get a kick out of sharing the story 😄 I recall calling my father and telling him I was never riding again. I was in the hospital for a while and the bike was towed to my parents place. When I got out of the hospital and went back home, my dad had fixed all the damage and painted over the scrapes and dents. He told me not to quit, to keep riding. I’m so grateful he did!
Hey Bosco, I appreciate your comment! I’ve had this bike for 12 years. It was my daily driver for the first 4 years, so it’s seen plenty of snow, hail, rain, salt… you name it! It sat out in the freezing wind while I was studying in university, and the scorching sun while I was exploring Big Bend. It’s gotten close to wildfires and even taken me down the beaches in Daytona! Its motor has warmed my hands dozens of times when I’ve pulled over briefly on a chilly day. It’s taken be down paved highways across Canada and the US- from the Yukon to Texas! And it’s led me down gravel roads in Northern Ontario. All solo. Thanks to my “bad practices”, it’s never once let me down. It may look rough, and you’re welcome to judge how I look after it, I understand! I’ve never needed to take it to a shop, thankfully! It may not be polished and modded out. But I bought this bike for the travels it would take me on. Not to sit in my garage. Ride safe Bosco!
@lauradanielle1991 Has nothing to do with it being a garage queen or not etc., your dad seems like a sloppy mechanic. I know its your dad but facts is facts. Never seen someone gap a spark plug in such a way and I hope to never again. And I'd have expected you to know how to adjust a chain and belt properly after all those years and or miles, thats shocking. Good luck with it.
@@solo.roader and idk what silliness he was doing with the primary chain but it's a double roller chain, you find the tight spot, as even a double roller has at least one and you check the slop. Hope he also gets you to check your wheel bearings, neck bearings, etc. Depending on mileage I'd be surprised if it didn't have a groove worn in it. Id read the service manual thoroughly.

Thank you, and you’re completely right- I cherish all of the time I spend with my dad, particularly these ones. Ride safe!! 😊
That’s cool that your dad was showing you how to do things on your bike. I hope to do the same with my kids
It will be some of their most cherished memories. 😊
just discovered your channel. I enjoy your videos. Peace from Connecticut USA

You’re right, it isn’t very pleasant! Perhaps I need to look into some heated gear. Maybe for my next trip!

I can 1000% guarantee I know why that fuel pump sounds gummed up, but I'll let her figure it out the hard way.
Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll have to look into those sensors!
Cool
Why thank you. 😎
Juste let me say … bravo ! I already wait for « la suite » !
❤
Great video Laura, nice to see you learning how to do your own maintenance. And damn how are you still single??
Hahaha, I was given the gift of having social anxiety 😅. Meeting people is hard so I stick to living under a rock with my cat. 😂

Another long trip? Great! I am planing to do short trips 🙂
Have fun and ride safe!
Great vid , love planning trips just need summer here lol
You and me both! And I totally agree… I can’t wait for warm sunny days. 🤭
Hey Laura! If that jacket was a XL I would buy it. Your Pop's is AWESOME! And so was your video. As usual be safe!
He’s THE BEST! I’m so grateful! (The jacket was a size small by the way 😅). Take care!
If you still have that jacket when you get back from your trip my wife wears size small I think we can make a deal be safe!@@solo.roader
@@solo.roader My wife wears size S if you still have it im most sure we can make a deal the 125 sounded ok
Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!!!!! What was that GT 350 all about! You can’t just put something like that in a video and not elaborate! 😛😛😛
😘🤙
😊👍

Looks like the "Bar and Shield" run in the family..? - 🤢 - just saw your air filter.
😅
Where are you headed this time?
New Mexico, Arizona and ultimately Death Valley! 🤗
Hey Laura. I was born curious: the dent in the gas tank, is there a story?
It’s OK if You want to shoot me!
Thanks for posting.

I've never seen so many bad practices in one short video. But hey you're keeping motorcycle shops in business with stuff like that so have at it.
