i always really like his beats.. i really liked the samples he put together... wasnt feeling the drums though and i usually like all of the drums he does but he definitely explains it well and his channel is a really good resource for producers of all genres
5:52 if your a Reason user then there are hundreds of Hiphop drum loops already chopped like this in the Rex player device you can slow sections, reverse them pich them. You can put the loop to midi same as in this video and move stuff about.
@3:03 I've used this technique in tracks in the past and i was always self-conscious about doing it... thinking it would just cause phase/mix issues or that it was in some ways "redundant". It makes me happy to know that my intuitions on this technique are actually valid! Some samples already have a bass that works but just need the low end separated and enhanced. Thanks for the great tutorials as always!
The first sample sounds like a Ennio Moricone spaghetti western soundtrack. Especially A Fistful of Dollars or For A Few Dollars More. Well done! I wanna do another boom bap beat myself one day 😄
Dont get me wrong but these samples are very familiar from Kayra's albums. He is one of my all time fav mc from Turkey. I think he is a very underrated mc so if u inspired from him please share him with your subs. Sample 2 is from "Ne yapacağını bilen var mı?". Sample 3 is from "Kör Karanlık".
@@morenofranco712 Cool, I have been using Reason for a cupple decades, it's got a thing called Rex player which functions the same as an old school MPC sampler. It does every that this video shows lay down in midi chops, pitch, wow and Flutter and so on. Reason also comes with hundreds of old school Hiphop loops already chopped.
Yooo this is awesome, Another great video! Not sure if you delve into these sorta beats, but are you able to do a video on getting big bass 808s going like what you hear in trap? Song of reference for me is 'pain' by Lil Peep. I've looked through a bunch of youtube tutorials and none of them even compare to what's in the song I just mentioned
That just sounds like a distorted sine sub, you can search up how to make one using for example 3xosc if you use FL :) You'd have to play around with it a bit if you want it to sound the exact same, but that should get you close atleast 💜
@@prodKossi Thanks heaps man! I'll have a play around and see what I can get going. Do you think they've added any effects like reverb or delay or anything else?

@@johnherbert9171nah that’s the best part. Never know when he’s gonna start rambling
I've noticed old movie soundtracks also work very well for this style, especially stuff composed by Herbie Hancock
Herbie is a deity
A lot of old shows from the 60's too madlib used
I think reversed samples will do a good job to achieve that creepy vibe and unique-sounding type of beat
I love reversing my loops and samples

this might be the best beat i ever heard. I can never get enough of that bass line!
More of these videos please! This was so clear, and the beat sounds mad
Underground boom bap is the best beatmaking genre.
It is pretty funnnn
Man these are gems. For real!! I wish some on these idiotic TH-cam “beat makers” like Ave or Bolo would watch and break things down like this.
Ave is just that a "beat maker" not a producer he doesn't have enough knowledge to break down what he's doing
Navie the Canadian goat
thank you a lot, not everyone knows how to cover tutorials of this genre.
De ganar el balón de oro a hacer tutoriales, grande Benzema

duuuuuude!!! those minor details and the way he explains it with much precision!!!! it's always cool to have someone doing tutorials like this....
