What is Sexual abuse: "Sexual abuse is sexual behavior or a sexual act forced upon a woman, man or child without their consent" Bruxy did not sexually abuse or force himself. Sounds like the woman wanted an affair with a married man and pastor. Where is her accountability? What about Marcus Lamb? The Daystar Founder? He had an affair with a member. He was later almost blackmailed. His wife forgave him. He went onto build a large ministry. No criminal charges were ever laid. I agree, the church should not just cover up sin but why are they doing the opposite? Why is the church, going along with cancel culture?

It's so sad how people judge others. Shame on all of you

I acknowledge that what Brux did was completely inappropriate and wrong. This feels as if we're a very bad dream. His teachings brought me to a relationship with Jesus that I never thought possible. We texted one another. He was always there for me with my thoughts and questions.
How horrible this is and how horrible it affects all involved. I feel it very important to remind us that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
May we remember this when we want to throw hatred towards Brux and the women involved.
We should encourage his wife, Nina, their children, and the families of the victims. And, as God gives us grace, may we offer it to Brux in our comments and words.

This is an important reminder. I definitely have tried to avoid throwing hatred at anyone. Bruxy is my brother in Christ. Regarding your own experience, none of what he did takes away from the truth he shared with you. God uses the most messy of people.

@@StephenJBedardVideos I hope not that he is your brother in Christ for he has no share in the kingdom1Cor 6,9f. But you are allowed to leave too.

@@martinospitaletta8198 So, if one who believes in Christ sins, he is no longer a brother In Christ. Then there are no Christians because we all sin, well at least all of us who are honest with ourselves. By the way, you are out of context on your scripture from 1Cor 6:9, as this scripture refers to the unrighteous non-believer from vs 1+6. On the other hand vs 11 defines The Believer, even a believer who may succumb to temptation and sin.

@@markhaney2884 You are arguing like the brainbug from Starship Troopers has sucked out your central nervous system. There is habitual constant griveous sin and sinful nature and sins. Sins to death and sins not to death. Only adulterers were put to death not everyone with impure thoughts.
Christians living in rebellion do not have emunah/trusting obedience or pistis/lived out faithfulness in allegiance. To answer your question precisely: as long as people with correct evangelical convictions live in rebellion, they have 1. neither emunah nor pistis but 2. only a dead demonic non salvific set of convictions they call "belief" and 3. will go to hell with it. Not too complicated, in my opinion.
But for further study I highly recommend you Matthew Bates "Gospel Allegiance. What faith in Jesus misses for salvation in Christ".
Pistis to Christ/allegiance to Christ is counted as righteousness /covenant faithfulness. If you stop obeying, you end up on allegiance, and so you are no longer considered righteous. The state of being a follower determines if you have the position of faithful covenant member/a righteous one.
In the false system you were raised a set of convictions is called "faith" and this "faith" secures a position of "righteousness" independent of what you do. Paul taught followers of Christ with allegiance /pistis are counted as righteous, faithful members in the covenant people without converting into Judaism by works of the law like circumcision.
He did not teach "have some right opinions about Christ and you are considered perfect without any need to obey for salvation". This is a fabricated twisting of what Paul is saying. But to understand this, you have to research what all this words meant in the synagogue in first century Judaism. And the meaning is different from what the reformers taught.

Yea Cavey is a real piece of work... As an Anabaptist pastor myself, I view force and violence as more than simply acts of physical destruction. Exploitation and objectification are also mechanisms of violence and tools of the Powers of the Realm of Death.
The Reign of God and Realm of the Spirit is about emancipation, liberation, solidarity and reconciliation. (Luke 4:18-19)
Cavey is a predator who used his position to enrich and gratify his ego, he was captured by the powers (and may still be) and actively twisted Justice at the city gate. (Amos 5:12)

The church has failed egregiously at a greater scale than bruxy and still fails to admit it to themselves or take corrective action. Outsourcing morality to the state, othering a conscientious objector minority, excluding them from services. Demonizing them on social media without a shred of empathy or discernment. That last straw after a long series of theological abuses of truth. Every idolatrous thing on offer from luciferian pagans they appear to compromise their own values to bow to-in order to look good to others. All their talk about love, diversity and inclusion is a spitting into the wind when tested. All of their smears of other believers reveal more about their own unexamined malevolence than they do the foibles of others. Nowhere does Jesus say we must live by lies so we can trick people into liking him. But this is how the church leadership largely acts, framing it as compassion and framing those by extension who disagree as moral subhumans. When they say politics are bad but then always align with one of the most statist, corporate and deranged factions they destroy their own credibility.

Even adultery will be stoned to death, but the conclusion was s...l abuse as lodged by the complainant(victim), so the penalty is million x times more than that ????

They were 2 consenting adults. Please stop demonizing Brux. It sure seems like as soon as he cut this gal off from their affair, then she decided to expose him. Not while it was actually going on. Perhaps she was pissed off that she wasn't getting any... Hmmm?

Yah but really…he still committed adultery. He was wrong and held up to guide us to be better. How can we rise above our sinfully nature when the one that is supposedly teaching us falls down. He’s human too but not to be held above our Lord. We are in a time when we need guidance to move forward and up and not be found as a reason to believe our faith is so flawed

    • @Benjamin-to2zq

Not just two consenting adults. There was power differential involved. A counselor and counselee relationship. In more secular settings if a therapist gets romantically and sexually involved with their client, they could lose their license to practice. So saying two consenting adults is not fully relevant to what happened here.

Thank you for saying this. I agree, affairs are wrong. But this sounds like something is wrong with the woman he had the affair with. Why is she not accountable for her own actions? She was an adult. The affair went on for years. Now, she is a Victim? I understand being a Victim, so I can say this. But it sounds like the new cancel culture stuff. I like in the bible , where Jesus writes in the sand, (maybe the sins of the accusers)?...when the adulteress women was about to be stoned. May God expose the real sin.

This talk is moronic. “Just and affair”. It’s treachery and fraud and proof a church leader was without faith. He himself was a fraud. He needs to plead guilty immediately and take responsibility. I’ve is an evil force.
