Again this is a beautiful video. I am not sure if they mention it but the place at the end of the video is Horseshoe Bend, just south of Page AZ. It is accessible from route 89 - and the guys are right: if you didn't know it was there you would see nothing from the highway. Well worth an hour out of your journey to stop off. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk from the car park. In summer take a hat, good walking shoes and plenty of water. It does get hot. They went towards sunset and were rewarded with beautiful red colours. However if you go earlier on a sunny day the river will be a gorgeous jade green with emerald green on the water periphery. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
Just got a 65" TV and decided to try out this video to see how it looked. It was spectacular! My wife hasn't seen your videos before. She sat and watched and was blown away not only by the scenery, but the level of production and editing. She thinks you're very talented. Keep up the good work and enjoy this trip of a lifetime!!
Your passion for flight, film, and adventure are so evident, it’s hard not to be motivated to see the wonders that this world has to offer. Josh, job well done.
sseing you fly into Page it brought back great memories of my first overseas flying adventure bakk in the 90s that also took me to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Page, Las Vegas, San Diego and Tucson. This particular approach was the most stunning of all.
Your video producing abilities have skyrocket to a level not many other TUBERS can obtain, what really makes me happy in an OCD way is that the terms “narley, dude, stoked” aren’t over used !!! Thank you for that 👍. Love this series and you guys work well together. Waiting for next video 🍿
One of your best films to date Josh. Fantastic footage! Thanks for giving us wanna be's the opportunity to view the life through your Aviation101 lens.
Very nice. Tells about the weather problems out of Alamogordo, N M with cold downdraft and up to Colorado border. Wonderful scenery from air around Page, Arizona and Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River. Thanks for sharing.
Don't make me tear up...Are you looking for an Oscar in Editing, music, or cinematography? You nailed them all. Great video. Thank you Josh. Beautiful video...
Josh, Thank you!, The west is my back yard and I have seen many things, nothing compares to your vids and the music you load with them. This one, touched me.. Horse Shoe Bend. Thanks, from just an old cowboy....
I’ve spent two weeks in Page for the past two summers as part of a group I’m with doing 14 hour days of outdoor physical training. This video brought out some seriously awesome memories. Used to train at the Middle School there and would get distracted watching the planes take off and land from that airport. Thank you
I got goosebumps watching this video. Been there 26 years ago in a little Citabria. Oh, man... Thank you very much. The Mix of music and pictures is perfect! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Wonderful series! Great tips on mountain waves and sink rates and having a plan B, an out. The photos and videos of this landscape simply are hard to comment on. They were wonderful. You did a great job getting the right time of day. The story was well put together as well. Thanks.
Spectacular scenery! You guys have a lot more guts than I would have standing so close to the edge of those cliff walls of the Grand Canyon!!. Great series, loving this so far. I think this one and the last one were the best so far! Can't wait for part 6! Thanks!
The rugged beauty of the southwest. Even better from the air. Sigh. Here in British Columbia mountain training is an important part of flight training.
I’ve ridden around Monument Valley and 4 Corners (stopping at the monument... pretty cool!) on my motorcycle and thought that area was absolutely beautiful... after watching the video... that area is amazingly beautiful from the air!! Wow !!
Sir, you really demonstrate what GA can do. You do not get the opportunity to experience such amazing views. Absolutely breathtaking this series could be shown on television, so professional and absolutely the most amazing videos. I loved seeing the rivers and the layers in the rocks were the water level once flowed. Honestly Sirs I am speechless. Keep up the great work, you have grown so very much in your abilities to present what aviation can do for people. Great spokesman!!!
This video is incredible. Wow. Also, I have a friend who is an air balloon pilot but is also afraid of heights. He says flying and standing on an edge are completely different. So I can see how you can still be anxious of heights and fly. I got over the fear by getting into rock climbing and bouldering. I had a good group of folks to teach me and get over my fear.
Thanks for visiting New Mexico see you flew right past KAEG Double Eagle airport in Albuquerque and on up to Farmington. Been there many times. Love the information about the Grand Canyon airport. Been west many a time to Flagstaff and Sedona on my way to Reno and Vegas but never stopped in Page will certainly make that a destination. Thanks for the great video. Safe flight.
I lived in Page, AZ for almost a decade and flew twice a week on the NPS 206 to Bullfrog Marina, Hite, Halls Crossing, and Escalante. Thanks for the shots. I had almost forgotten how beautiful it is there. Thanks for sharing this.
Chris Trott Yeah that was probably one of the worst I’ve seen. Granted, you feel it a lot more in a little airplane like this, but most of the time I’m at least able to maintain altitude without getting too much below 80 kn. This brought us down to about 65 kn when he disengage the auto pilot.
Terrific video. The arrival into KPGA was gorgeous. I realize the purpose of the video isn’t to give instrument instruction, but at 13:45 when you ask if the KFMN tower controller has an on-course heading, then your friend asks you what altitude to turn at, it might’ve been good to briefly mention the existence of the ODP, why it’s ok to elect not to fly it if you’re Part 91, and why you made that choice in this case. Keep up the great work. You and the other GA TH-camrs are doing a great job of showing what GA flying is like, and I have to believe you’re creating a lot of healthy interest.
I just came along your channel and watched this series. I visited the Horseshoe Bend and also the Grand Canyon myself in late 2019 during my honeymoon and this amazing footage truly reminds me of that amazing trip. Well done!! And it makes me want to fly myself even more. Oh well, there is always MSFS 2020 :)
I like your choice of music approaching Page & Lake Powell. I drove through there last summer in a convertible - Cortez to 4 corners, to monument valley, to Page, to Cedar Breaks.
WOW! 4 corners ground controller read flight plan and info so nicely. As a student, I wished it would be that way all the time. The flight cinematography was simply gorgeous. Thank you both for a great view. I am planning on RV-ing with my wife and kids around that area.
I started watching aviation video on TH-cam when I accidentally found Premier One Driver and his jet videos. Then I came upon your videos and the views and photos and videos are awesome. Your trip from Florida to California has views no one would ever see flying so fast and high in the Premier. One day I may start lessons again. You are an inspiration and thank you for these!!
Josh, this series is your best set of videos ever. I am only a "computer pilot" but I've learned a lot through your videos over the years. On the rare occasion that you might have an emergency such as the mentioned magneto failure, how do you handle such an emergency over the mountains in a single? Keep up the good work! Tom
As a forest and mountains guy, I never expected my heart skip a few beats for the desert. Josh, each of your videos is a Love Story to Aviation. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride.
Nothing to see here... This is where I learned to snow ski as a kid and I remember hanging by my tangled scarf from the top of the cable rope tow! 😂 Now, why does Cloudcroft make everyone want to go out and stand in the middle of the road? I don't know, but you guys got the fever!Busted! 😂
Man You guys have some beautifuuuuuuuul country side over there who knows maybe some day ill get over the big blue pond but for now I'll have to stick with the gorgeous east coast of Australia for a back yard keep up the films Mr Flowers Your content is Magnificent
Josh - you guys are doing a great job on the vids - as I sit stuck in northeast pa crap weather for the last 4 months - looking forward to rest of the journey
GREAT JOB JOSH! I have driven through much of the area you are flying over, but it doesn't come close its beauty from the air. Thanks for taking us along.
It would be interesting to know what it costs for services such as inside parking hanger fees, fuel prices, and favorable services etc throughout your trips.. for the rest of us...
Route 27! Now that would be cool if any of the news crews have the footage posted somewhere online to add it to one of your vids. Have been enjoying the series! Really shows just how much really goes into long x country planning and how much changes happen along the way. Keep up the excellent work.
videos like this are the only reason im getting my PPL. just want to enjoy the views, everyone looks as airplanes as just a fast way to transport good and people but never understand the true beauty in flying low and slow. great work as always! very motivating
My favorite video so far!!!! I feel a very personal connection to this one. Can't wait for the next one. What a great adventure. I should have just fueled up and followed you guys.
Wow. Fantastic, Josh. One of your best. About 7 hours into my private pilot training, and honestly felt a bit emotional knowing these adventures are in my future. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Such an awesome series Josh, very well done and the views are breathtaking! Simply, that is the beauty of flight! A perspective that few of us get to experience, that is so rewarding and makes us appreciate the world around us. Hope to do a flight like this in the future. Thank you, keep 'em coming and safe skies!
Fantastic adventure, amazing production, so inspiring! Thanks a lot for creating and sharing this. I live in Australia and the nature and views are spectacular here, but still make me jelaous - North America is so diverse.
I did a number of ferry flights through the southwest in 2018 and enjoyed some similar views personally and with my still camera. Your videos and commentary are excellent and enjoyed them throughly - Thanks.
Again this is a beautiful video. I am not sure if they mention it but the place at the end of the video is Horseshoe Bend, just south of Page AZ. Love the route 27 Sticker story. Thankfully he pulled it off safe and sound....

I haven't see a picture of Shiprock in over 20 years but at 16:16 . Yep. Shiprock in the distance. Kinda hard to miss. Great video!
sseing you fly into Page it brought back great memories of my first overseas flying adventure bakk in the 90s that also took me to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Page, Las Vegas, San Diego and Tucson. This particular approach was the most stunning of all.
another great day in the air ... Page Arizona, still one of the best spots in the world - totally majestic!
Great seeing the mountains of the Southwest. Beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing.

THE best TH-cam video I have ever watched. Those views and the Grand Canyon are starting to make me homesick for a place that I have never been. Wow.
One of your best films to date Josh. Fantastic footage! Thanks for giving us wanna be's the opportunity to view the life through your Aviation101 lens.
My family and I go rafting on the San Juan river every summer. Seeing it from the air was so cool!!!
We are quite proud of the beauty of our state the grand canyon is awesome no matter how many times you go there you fellas stay safe

From Utah and just flew Into Paige last week, if you head north west to Bryce Canyon it is absolutely stunning as well.

That climb out of Farmington was BEAUTIFUL!
That mountain wave at 5:00 was pretty impressive. I remember flying from Denver to ABQ and fighting it the whole way.

Wow! Bucket list flight
Dude, never stop these adventures and videos, I absolutely love them, you've got great film making sense! Cheers from Canada
Really enjoying the series. Cloudcroft brought back memories from my senior year in high school when we saw snow there in May.
This is a beautiful nation (NSEW) but there is just something special about the American Southwest. Love this series.

dude...your cinemaphotography skills are insane! I love it!
LOL! "I don't like heights", says the pilot!
I caught that as well. lol
I fly out of FXE So I’m very familiar with F45 (nort county) and US 27 becomes a runway at least once a year. Glad you made it out ok.
I am out of words...it is just an AMAZING job !!
Route 27! Now that would be cool if any of the news crews have the footage posted somewhere online to add it to one of your vids. Have been enjoying the series! Really shows just how much really goes into long x country planning and how much changes happen along the way. Keep up the excellent work.

Beautiful shots guys! Rafted the Colorado a couple of years ago. Wonderful to see it from on high.
Thanks guys!!!!!! FANTASTIC video!!!!!! Made my whole night.
Fantastic video guys! Well done and nice flying!
Great views. I definitely want to make this trip.
I kind of have a plan(hope/idea) that I want to solo to Page. I love that area and know a lot of people in the Area.
Sedona airport is awesome, heck the whole area is mind blowing. Being from Florida, the western landscape is off the chart. Great video !
Josh, i love your tempo of your films. Keep it up fella
My favorite video so far!!!! I feel a very personal connection to this one. Can't wait for the next one. What a great adventure. I should have just fueled up and followed you guys.
Great scenery, great flying and a great video.... well done
Just based on this video, Vern (my CFI) and I are going to make this trip from Sanford, Florida! WOW! What great views of the canyon.
Incredible scenery and music is on point as usual. Thanks josh for the ride along.
Wow. Fantastic, Josh. One of your best. About 7 hours into my private pilot training, and honestly felt a bit emotional knowing these adventures are in my future. Thanks for sharing it with us!
EPIC!!
Edit: The shot at 22:10 is the same as one in my U.S. government book well of the same part of the canyon
Page is an awesome little place with some great views. I used to fly in and out of Page almost daily when I was a pilot with Great Lakes.
Absolutely beautiful!
Fantastic cinematography and a perfect music score to accompany the scenery 👌
Stunning. Fantastic job.
Spectacular scenery and another great video... excellent watch!
Great videos. The views and narration are awesome.
Just awesome. Great trip.
Amazing scenery @Aviation101. Your videos are inspiring. I am hoping to eventually start working on my PPL
Very well done.
Loving this series, nicely done! You’ve nailed the tone and the mixture of flying adventure and ground adventure. Been really enjoying it
Fantastic adventure, amazing production, so inspiring! Thanks a lot for creating and sharing this. I live in Australia and the nature and views are spectacular here, but still make me jelaous - North America is so diverse.
Spectacular in every way. It's great to be riding along with you guys - thanks.
I did a number of ferry flights through the southwest in 2018 and enjoyed some similar views personally and with my still camera. Your videos and commentary are excellent and enjoyed them throughly - Thanks.
You've just added another adventure to my life-plan-list. Coast to coast in the US ;-) Good job!
