Hey I know you uploaded this video ages ago but, I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to unstick my clutch. It won't disengage. I don't really want to pull the motor out of the bike again. I didn't know this was a problem when I put it in.

Hi Mid Nebraska Motorsports , i have a moto4 225 and the problem is ''hard reverse or forward shifting'' . I feel a medium+ resistance when i want to engage reverse or forward lever. And i ear a little cluncking noise clutch side. Then i decide to open the clutch cover and all gears look like new but the wet clutch spin both side meaning that the oneway bearing is bad. Is it possible that the oneway bearing is responsible for this hard shifting (forw/reverse) ?

Hey, I have an, I believe 83-84, 225 off a three wheeler I put on a moto4 200 frame. I rebuilt the carburetor and got it running. However, when I put in in first it wouldnt move at all. It feels like the transmission is going into gear. Do you think the clutch plates need replaced or the centrifugal clutch assembly would be a better repair? I haven’t took the side off yet to investigate.

I have a 88 Moto 4 200. My issue is excessive slipping in lower RPMs in 4th and 5th gear. You have to shift at redline or it slips awfully. I have it apart and ordered the clutch pack ahead and they looked fine but put the new ones in. The centrifugal clutch housing is purple from heat. Clutch seems low on material. Is there any way to replace just the pads or any aftermarket clutch's as $315 is a little too far out for a $1500 bike.

Is this the same engine that is in a 1984 Yamaha 225dx?

hey man i got a moto 4 250 i just got it and the previous owners drilled screws in the gas lid causing water to fill the tank then stuck the float in carb and flooded the motor with water... ok cleaned it out two or three times fixed carb and was running really good and then the clutch started to slip could i adjust it on the slot screw increase decrease and if so do i go up or down?

Great videos! I just replaced piston, rings, and did a valve job and am putting everything back together on my '84 YTM 225DX but I noticed a leak in the bottom of the crankcase. Can I replace the oil seal, bearing and crank case cover gasket (assuming that's what's causing the leak) without taking everything back apart and without splitting the case? Thanks

Thanks again. I'll spend some more time pinpointing the leak before I do anything!

These videos are very helpful, thanks for posting them!!
I do have a question though.. I need to replace the one way bearing in my clutch assembly.. Can I enter from the passenger side of the machine without removing anything from the drivers side or do I have to remove anything on that side first? Also, Can I do the one way bearing replacement without having to remove the engine entirely? I'm new to this but going to try giving it a shot on my own.
    Thanks in advance!!!

All his responses are deleted did he say you'd have to remove entire engine or not?
