Thank you Winter for speaking on a topic that so many of us in our 20s and 30s are experiencing. Not having much close family to any at all is tough. I lost my mom a few years ago and it really feel like I have no one. I always look at close knit families and wish. This podcast gives me such comfort

The topic on family really resonated with me. Made me cry a bit actually. I feel the exact same way. I feel like a stranger around my moms side of the family and on my dads side of the family. How do you cope with something like this?? No one in my life understands it. I’m angry but I still want them to be in my life. Since August 2022 I have been no contact. It’s a pain that just does not go away.
I have this too, i literally feel like the black sheep in the whole family and im angry too about it. I dont know how to cope either i just try to look for friends who feel more like family than my own but its hard. I feel for you :( i think alot of people have this but dont say it out loud, im here if you want to talk!

I feel for Winter. Life hits different with a big and loving family. I couldn’t imagine not having that blessing. I’d suggest to keep showing up, family isn’t perfect but you’re still a part of it. Idk the facts on her situation, but consistently showing up will heal any trust broken and it’s always a beautiful outcome.

Not having a close relationship with family is something a lot of us deal with, unfortunately. Having a baby with my man and being a part of his family has been amazing. I do think having your own family can / will heal you. At times it is disappointing wishing your family was more involved or emotionally available though. But I’m so excited for my son to grow and to have another kid and give them everything I didn’t have.

That happened to my old friend. She went to the Dr. because she had what she thought was a yeast infection. She only got it because the weekend before they were camping and her man used bug spray without washing his hands after and they had sex afterwards. Fast forward she goes to the doctors and they say she looks like she had genital herpes. They give her medicine and tell her to come back for a check up in a week. -- Week passes and she goes back for a new test and it says like error or undetermined ( whatever the medical term is for it ) but they said they had an unclear read so they wanted her to wait a couple days and come back. She goes back for her 3rd test and they tell her it was just a yeast infection.. she was so scared and barely could eat or think when she first got diagnosed… she should’ve sued them. Shit you should’ve too Chy.
