Thank you so much for doing this. I'm still trying to get my LO right. I've spent more time re-arranging, deleting, moving stuff around etc. than actually playing the game. I wish someone would make a mod arranging/organizer mod like Vortex or something like it for this game.
@djmando6235 my pleasure for sure! I hope it helps some. I agree that an organizer mod for the mods would be clutch. I'd pay like $15 for that mod dang near lol (if anyone reads that and then makes the mod, please make it free lol). I'd been pretty lucky with my load order to date, no big issues. Till tonight lol. I just uploaded a video on what to do when adding a new mod breaks your game. Was able to save the file in the end!
Definitely need something addressing load order. Since the Rover patch a few days ago my game is crashing all the time especially when I attempt to use fast travel on maps. I'm sure it's related to the patch. Was working without issue before that. Only help from Bethesda is remove all your mods! Well it's back to a fresh install from Steam. And I guess start deleting mods one by one and see what happens. I'd trade the rover patch/update back to just having a working game again. I'll follow here to see if you update this going forward. @civsully1740 that's def no good the experience you've had recently! I haven't had issues post patch with the current load order, but I have had repeated issues with adding new mods to the current save file. I do have some more load order videos in the pipeline. Hopefully they might be able to help out! I'll def figure out what I can, and share the findings
@Shizzle_G thank you for the feedback! You're absolutely right too. I agree, and that was a lot of consistent feedback for some of the earlier videos. I have worked to improve the audio mixing as I've continued uploading and I think it's agreed that it's def got better. I'm still trying to get better with every video, but I do agree on this and think there's been noticeable improvement. For this video topic specifically, I plan to do another similar updated version. That one should be far easier to listen to
@lflvco999l probably a total of apx 20-40 with this one specifically. It's the exact lo used in my current modded playthrough series which is at around 6/7 hours in at this point. It doesn't play well with new mods being added- but I think that's a separate issue I'm testing more with. I'll update on that aspect as I learn more. Thank you very much for the support! Hoping between the 2 I can get a better/solid understanding of how the lo prioritizes and executes the different types of mods
I'd place those at/near the top. I'd still go the game Mechanic changers first like I highlighted, but I'd put these before the starship additions. I hope that helps!
The way I’m currently doing this is anything labeled as “overhaul” and obviously replaces global items always go at or near the top. I’m still learning the art of mods vs. buggy game though lol
@charlesbratton8170 right on! I agree with "overhaul" those def imo should be the first set of mods to load. I def feel you too on deciphering between wats a mod caused issue, and wats just a game issue without mods lol

I actually go against some of my other guidelines when it comes to the Quest mods. I have the 2 I use near the end. In the video I talk about the very bottom of the LO I have the mods that I don't always, but pretty consistently use. That section I have including the Revelations Main Quest Overhaul and the No Quest Auto Start mods. The thinking for me is: the top of the LO is the game changers. Like swapping out a wood foundation for a metal foundation. The added parts are the frame. The outpost additions the walls. The npc/shop additions the insulation. The player homes and companions the fixings. The mods at the bottom of the LO the paint. Paint isn't vital to the build, it can be changed, but it really finishes the build proper. Quest mods change the appearance of the game, but imo that's just because they're paint. I hope that helps homie!
@evok2691 it is! Been playing with this load order in my playthrough series. Admittedly I can't add anything to it it seems, bit as is it is working great. I've teased before I think I know why I can't add more mods, but haven't proven it definitively- but I think it's cause I STARTED starvival. Seems like with starvival in the load order obv no issues. And I've added mods before starting starvival in the save, and they've worked. But after starting starvival in the save file, I haven't been able to add any more new mods to the LO without breaking it. I'm not 100%, but that's my running hypothesis I'm trying to test

Im having a problem getting my game to play cuz of the creations I downloaded alot of mods but like ships money weapons etc but now every time i get to the load screen it crashes when I try to continue my story what's up with that and then I go to creations to disabled it and it shows me that it's reloading and shuts down..now it's been like this for about 4 weeks now what's up with that can this be fix cuz I want to purchase the new dlc but im not doing it until this shit fix holla at me starfield
@shonariabdool7078 wats up homie. That def sucks that's happeneing!!! Def with it crashing just trying to get into creations. I've had that happen once or twice where it took pushing thru like 2-3 crashes before it finally loaded in. The only thing I can think off hand if the Creations page won't even load is to reset the game date. That's extreme for sure, but a "factory reset" might be wats needed. You def should be able to load into the game. How many mods you think you have loaded? That shouldn't be the issue anymore but maybe? I'll see if I can come across some other Troubleshooting steps to help out with
