Any idea when screen parts will be available for purchase? I ended up getting this phone, declined insurance and of course two months later I'm regretting it. They clearly have a defect in the crease and Samsung is denying legitimate warranty claims with the response that users are doing this. I've had my phone two months, no drops and the crease is starting with the little "cuts" across. Been googling different replacement parts because I have tools and have fixed mobile phones in the past. Can't do much if you can't get parts though.
Truly hope for some sort of action against Samsung for this. These phones should be recalled. Charging people $1000 for something they didn't test well enough or tested and ignored.
it all depends on your location, as I've found. In India there's a ready supply of legitimate smartphone parts because Samsung has a diy repair inventory thats easily available to the average person. unfortunately not the same in the US 😢

my screen just had a slight knock from my vaporiser literally the weight of the phone at a hight of about 2 centimetres and its damaged the screen just right of the selfie camera the screen it very delicate and we should all receive the flip 4 as compensation as the flip 3 is a disaster. going by the video it looks like i need to buy the complete screen assembly which will probably cost me about £350 even though its a pay monthly phone this is my last phone with Samsung unless they correct it.
I am in the same situation! The screen has been cracking at the fold ever since I got it. Samsung continues to deny the warranty claim. I have babied this thing and still happened. Nothing to do with user error. I will never buy Samsung again. Have you found any solutions yourself?

It's not a phone replacement. It's a module replacement, but it's true that this method replaces almost 3/4th of the phone XD But it is the recommended way tho.
@@humdll Yeah true in the past most smartphones were easier to repair and cheaper but nowadays they wanna go thinner and thinner with the displays so its almost al display modules.. sadly enough. I also hope that they will make it easier en cheaper but im afraid that won't happen. But lets pray for it haha :P
Stay away from Samsung flip or fold. I also have the same problem. Samsung will not fix it due to "physical" damage. When they know this is a design flaw. Samsung stop selling these models.
I feel your pain my screen gave out in like 6 month smh. I was wondering if I can replace it with a nonfolded screen instead not trying to repeat another broken screen these folded display just doesn't last long.

Actually our Z Flip 3 had a defect behind the screen where a screw was not tightened down on the hinge which put a slight raised bump in the lower half of the screen near the hinge this caused the screen protector to bubble on the side with the raised bump which caused the bubbling at the hinge to slowly move across the hinged area. I sent the phone in and Samsung sent it back saying everything was good and no screen protector on screen now. I called back in and told them the issue was still there behind the screen so sent it in again and they replaced the screen and tried to charge me $499 which i talked down to $135 honestly i shouldnt have had to pay anything as the defect was from day 1. I've seen others with the same phone that did not have this defect. My Fold 3 didnt have this defect either. I recieved it back the 2nd time and they reinstalled the screen protector and stated they replaced the screen but the original defect that caused this issue is still there and i am positive the screen protector will bubble again due to the screen having a raised bump under it. Called again and stated it was still not fixed and now i am waiting for a replacement phone or a refund if one is not available per their representative. Their Texhs dont know how to fix defects i believe they only know how to replace screens or giving refurbs.
Same here. I brought it to Verizon store and after inspection they said it's a warranty replacement. They called the number and set up the warranty replacement for me. Then, when the new phone came and I mailed back the old one they charged me over $300 and said it was damage. Horseshit. Still trying to get my refund.
My screen failed well, top half all black and bottom flashing a colour and Samsung they won't pay for it because they, said because the hinge had a very small scratch on it and they said it can cause it to fail..All it had were wear marks for sitting on the bench..
In case the screen stays blank once it boots to the main screen after removing or swapping the main board, here's a tip which drove me nuts for days. The speaker and proximity sensor which it located in the top middle under the main board must be reconnected (at 7:30) Duh! lol On my phone the sensor cable got pushed under the main board obviously not connected, and caused a blank screen every time I powered on the phone to the main screen.
Hi, it is several problems to my Z3 fold: first it's off when I tried to fold it, later this problem comes to another step: it's working when my phone in charging modeand there is no problem to fold it and open when telephone charging but immediately off when charging cable are disconnected! So after watching the video....the ONLY way to "repair the screen" is to order the empty phone shell and transfer the internal parts of the old phone to the new shell. But as far as "replacing the screen" ....you cant actually just replace the screen. And I have priced the new shell and it cost like $300. So if I replace the screen myself its still going to cost me $300 for the replacement screen/phone outer shell

Mine is getting a tiny line that looks like a scratch where it folds, I have had it for a year so I did expect it hopefully my store will fix it. 😅
