What a character arc
What a wonderful character arc. He started with a quest to find pants, to succeed but also realise he needs not pants, but a pair of big fucking swords, a funny hat and a fancy cape.
maybe the true pants were the friends we made along out journey ?

It literally went on for over an hour when he was streaming it, it was hilarious the entire time
Something about RT coming back from time to time to the apostle, which he first found by striding away from the tutorial and wandering around, to then finally beating him pantless, is just way too funny

Also, he skipped through half the dungeon by landing on the elevator which was quite something
This has legitimately been the best run to watch. Perfect mix of skill and jackassery
Felt. Too many people are so good that it’s not fun to watch, I require at least 20-50% stupidity in the gameplay to enjoy my content
That's just a summary of RT's content in general. He's seriously impressive at videogames when he needs to be but he mostly has more fun just dicking around which is fine by me.

Magic. No, literally, partly why he learned gravity magic was to be able to sit on his horse without squishing it. Also, yeah, to stop the constellations from moving. But also for his horsey.

I was there for Starscourge Radahn. The chat was so tense for the entire thing and we just went fucking nuts at the win. It's times like that, when RT cracks open a drink and talks to his chat after the win that I love so much about this community.

Wow. The fight against Starscourge Radahn (what a name by the way) looked incredibly difficult, but so cool at the same time. The fact that he COMES DOWN AS A METEOR AS THE START OF PHASE 2 should be an indication.
Didn't expect RT to go full on toxic wow guild leader, but it was amusing to watch live.
I haven't really seen the other games, but these people make some cool ass names. Godskin Apostle sounds like a metal band name in the making.

The fight against Radahn is what Dark Beast Ganon should've been in Breath of the Wild, especially for the fact that Radahn looks like Ganondorf

Got to love how the Godskin Apostle's 2nd phase looks like the result of someone pulling the bones of a Gmod/SFM model way out of proportions.
I like to think one of the devs just fucked up his model by accident once and they just decided to keep it

On one hand, rt makes this (and quite frankly, almost any game he plays) look like a hell of a good time. But on the other hand, Radahn...my body is not ready for him.
Get Rotten Breath from the Dragon Communion on the island or the ruins in Southern Caelid. Two blasts of Rotten Breath kills Radahn like nothing.

@@Deathbrecht Key point to mention, scarlet rot functions like toxic from dark souls. While very good, it does damage in ticks. You have to survive long we enough for it to kill, but you can just book it and promise turrin all the raisins he can eat to avoid Star Ganon, destroyer of your anus
Trust me. There is worse than Radahn to worry about.

FYI: The Mimic Tear is absolutely hysterical when you're playing a mage and going in blind. I lost it at the very start of the fight when it yeeted a fucking moon at me lmao. Would have been even funnier if I had found Comet Azur at that point already.
Something I love about this little community is that whenever a game has spiders or enemies that look close enough like spiders to where Dan can't look at them without vomiting, we all remind Dan that we will deal with them so Dan doesn't have too.
Just something wholesome I enjoy about being part of the RT crowd

Just the sheer willpower in that phrase made it all amazing, plus he then gave you his pants XD
"When all else fails, just run. It is actually very viable in this game." Oh he would like Kenshi, a game where everyone agrees, the best shoes are the ones that make you run faster than the cannibals after you.
I found Kenshi through Wilburgur and I was so tickled that I bought it. Don’t play much b/c my laptop isn’t powerful enough and threatens to launch into outer space every time I hazard it. But yeah I think RT would have fun playing that marvel of modern mechanics :P
The real reason they’re the best shoes is because I’m pretty sure they speed up your combat speed as well, allowing your martial artists to blow off limbs even faster
The best shoes are just none at all, instead just replace your legs with robot limbs.
There's one thing which I love about General Radhan fight a lot. When you summon Patches and he gets hit once, he just teleports away. Yes, Patches is literally in every Fromsoftware game since Armored Core 4.
He doesn’t even get hit. Patches walks 2 yards then nopes out.
Honestly… I don’t blame him.

12:20 I love that the reason why he died because he just standing there because he was shocked and mesmerized by that meteor attack. Like the room and time for him to dodge that attack is pretty big but that attack really caught him off guard

To be more fair lorewise, it’s more “I want to reinstate true death, to allow for the dichotomy of life” considering the way it works right now, death doesn’t exist in a true, natural form!
Fun fact: I hear that Radahn learned how to use gravity magic in order to lessen the burden on his horse because he loved his equine companion so much.
I can happily watch this without spoiling the game because I don't have a clue what's going on

This is objectively the BEST playthrough of Eldenring.

He’s a turtle with a hat, that automatically makes him the best
mimic tear is ridiculously op, if you level it you have a doppelganger that does more damage than you
he would need to find it first. which knowing him he wont stumble into that area, as its tucked away in nokron
it does not do more damage than you, stop spreading misinformation, it has more HP than you, at +10 it has 10k but it does the exact same amount of damage you do/
@@Nekogami04 no, it simply doesn't because the player can give themselves limitless fp, or even just.... use a flask to regen, it literally is doing nothing more than the player themselves can do.
@@Nekogami04 lasts 15 seconds in my experience, and it doesnt matter, because again, the mimic can do what the player co do through flask usage, just without needing the flasks
Its amazing to me to see that the 'half-wolven warrior' is named blaidd, which translates to wolf in welsh. Really nice to see my language pop up

Elden Ring: you ride a horse, summon an army, and fight a general that also rides a horse, has a magic machine gun, and becomes a literal meteor
And you do all this to make a meteor hit the planet and make a big hole for you. Things escalated quickly
Dan has come so far since being a lonely naked Todd Howard in the castle, now he can take 2 hits instead of one

As someone that struggled more on the first major boss in Elden ring than I have in any dark souls game before it, this video resonates with me
Dan takes so much damage because he's somehow still only wearing starting zone armor
I mean he tried to take on the godskin apostle at level 1 with no equipment, what else do you expect from this run?
He takes immense damage wearing the Leyndel helmet and Radahn's chest, boots, and gloves. Granted, he _was_ in an optional area, but even so!
Yeah, the damage negation is actually fairly minimal. Unless it's the difference between you getting one-shot or two-shot, it'll only protect you from around 25% of the damage tops. Levelling up for raw defense and hp are your best means of getting tankier.
The fact RT can just speedrun games while doing the most absolute crazy shit will ALWAYS amaze me.
The fact that youve kept on coming back to the tower since the start of the series. And how you beat the boss without pants. Really brings a tear to my eyes

One big Sword to two Big Swords instantly makes the game 10 times better
This play through has been way too much fun and I've never felt compelled to watch/play any kind of game like this before. I'm almost through 36 hours of your ER Streams and I have 18 hours left, and I'm still excited for every second. You are very good at the game from my perspective plus your energy and ability to use chat for comedy is unmatched, so it is worth the time.
Radahn's divebomb was actually hilarious for me to see the first time, because the game I had been playing before Elden Ring was Monster Hunter Rise, and I had just beaten Valstrax, whose biggest attack is literally the same thing (though easier to track/dodge, since Valstrax actually stays visible for the duration of the attack), and I literally ended up calling that attack "Valstrax".
I easily defeated the mimic tear and then thought.....does that make me really weak, or really strong?
Eh, the Mimic Tear is just you but without a brain. Not surprising that it’s easy for you to defeat.

Fun fact, the weapon art on the double swords has a second part if you hit the button again after the aoe. You do a big slam the does tons of damage.

I had pretty much the same experience with the Godskin Apostle in Caelid. I found him way too early, and I kept coming back to see if I was strong enough. It was honestly an amazing experience, and it was so satisfying to finally beat him
Imagine if rt somehow beat the godskin apostle at lvl 1 and got thoose pants as his first ones

I was at the livestream when he was fighting Radahn, it was absolutely fantastic to watch RT slowly go more and more insane

24:30 for the mimic fight, I took off all my armour and weapons and summoned my friend to beat the shit out of me after they watched me fist fight myself for a minute. Such a stupid fight, but such an amazing one.
Watching someone stumble into victory is always enjoyable.
At the exact moment you got hit by a big attack, my controller (which was connected to my laptop) inexplicably vibrated as if I'd gotten hit by it in-game.
My game isn't even on at the moment, and my controller has never randomly vibrated like this before.
