    Out of all of my TH-cams I’ve never come across somebody that is as good as you at teaching jewelry making,
    With that being said I wish that the camera could get better angles sometimes in your videos.
    Thank you for all that you share!
    Your super adorable 🙏🏼

    Susan, you are just THE BEST for jewelry making videos! Yours are always my favorites. And the bracelet you are wearing in this one, I would love to have a video about it to say : « I made this! ».

    Can you place something after you've done all of the beads and spacers that allow them to stay put, or not easily removed?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a silicon slider bead to on each side of your stack to help keep them in place.

  • @dianetavegia2320

    I had (am having) a hard time envisioning how you'd put the straight piece into the ear. Assuming you hold the large piece up toward the top of the ear, feed in the short flat piece and then hook it in the back. Is that correct? Thanks for the videos!

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Diane, yes, you have it exactly correct! The straight piece, once in your ear, will hold the hoop closed, plus act as a "stopper," so it won't fall out of your ear.

    Hi.i want to make a memory wire bracelet and hold beads in clusters so they don't move along the wire.how can I achieve this please? So I have a few beads fixed in position then some wire then few more fixed etc. Thanks hope u can help.

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Caroline! You may want to look into "bead keepers." They are little stoppers that you can put on either side of your bead stacks to keep them in place. A quick internet search for that very term, should lead you to them!

      You sure can! JTV has sterling silver wire. Here is a link: www.jtv.com/product/sterling-silver-wire-kit-includes-half-hard-dead-soft-wire-in-assorted-gauges-shapes/JSWRKIT76?N=451581875?mcid=XSOjsyt
      We don't currently sell Gold Filled wire, but a quick internet search should get you to some reputable sites!

    how do u bend the memory wire like that mine only like going straight

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Vicki! Memory wire, because of its hard temper, holds its shape. If you every had a slinky as a child, it's the same concept. It "remembers" where it was and bounces back. It is incredibly easy to finish-off as well. You can use round nose pliers or memory wire finishing pliers to turn the wire into small loops. It comes in different diameters according to the project you want to make, meaning a ring, bracelet, earrings or necklaces. So, be sure to check and make sure the wire your using is actually memory wire. Can the memory wire hoops be made into smaller hoops?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try using ring memory wire for smaller hoops! The smaller the diameter of memory wire, the smaller the hoop.

    What gauge is the wire?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Janita! There isn't actually a wire gauge assigned to this wire. It's just called heavy duty and is 1mm thick. If you need a wire gauge, try 20 gauge. This is the most common size for earrings because it will fit through your ear piercing without stretching it. In this video, Susan does say to use bracelet memory wire. Here is a link to a few packs of it for convenience: www.jtv.com/product/memory-wire-large-bracelet-pack-in-gold-tone-silver-tone-antique-brass-color-appx-7oz-total/JSKIT0794?mcid=XSOjsyt

    What is different between memory wire and ear wire

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ebony! Memory Wire is one of the easiest stringing materials to use. Due to its hard temper, it holds its shape. If you ever had a slinky when you were a child, then you know what we're talking about. Same concept. It's hard, so you have to use special cutters to cut it. 20 gauge wire is the best wire to use for earrings because it will fit most beads, plus it will go through your ear hole a bit easier. Unlike memory wire, it doesn't bounce back. So, depending on the type of wire you use (half-hard, dead soft), you will want to hammer it a little to work harden it, so it will hold its shape. Hope this helps!
