- Who knew today would be the best day prospecting for gold in West Virginia yet! We're hitting Honeysuckle Creek again, with more tools and time! That adds up to one amazing clean up!!!
When I saw that gold revealing itself in your pan, I yelled woohoo for ya bro! That's super awesome!!! Holy cow what a clean up!... PS, I drown my hot dogs in gas station chili and nacho cheese in a paper boat and eat it with a fork.
I just about flipped brother! That bedrock is freaking amazing in my book! So close to a picker! Lol...

@@adventuretimeprospecting got a sub from me buddy! Have you heard of anyone finding any color in the southern part of the state? New River, Glade Creek, Piney Creek, Coal river, etc? I have a buddy who prospects all over, just not really in WV. He's been to Alaska and California, also some of the old gold workings around Culpeper/Orange in Virginia. Any kind of information about SWV would be greatly appreciated my good sir.

I'm about 1 hour from honey suckle creek. I got about 8 years before I can retire from swva. Then I'll head to camp and stay at least 6 months out of the year. Who knows our paths may cross at some point until then happy prospecting.

Blew my mind for sure! That was the best WV clean up ever. Normally takes a bunch of trips to get that amount, and the flake was a big surprise!

There's a old gold mine near.where ilive in Sutton is westvirginia. It's illegal to move or distribute gravel and rocks in any stream in wv.

Not with the small dream mat sluice. I am planning on doing just that with my Mini Max converted with a 10 X 36 dream mat, with my trusty A51 at the tail...Going to shoot that one in Ohio.
I am in Putnam county West Virginia, wanted to ask you, have you ever seen any large Sasquatch tracks around those creeks and grounds around fresh water areas? Also should I have water traveling that fast accross the sluice or should a place a big rock in front of the stream to slow it down?
I honestly believe I have. I took a few pictures and video. It's in my channel somewhere. As far as water flow, kinda gotta figure that out every time . I use 1 in of drop per foot of sluice.

Great Gold total for the day, congrats! I had some doubts about that short sluice but boy was I wrong, it grabbed and held that Gold like a champ.
EDIT: I live in Michigan and you can get excellent chili dogs here!
That dream mat sluice is only 2' overall..But most of the gold is in the top of the dream mat..I really like it for flour gold. It's always good to know that I can get a good dog!
@@adventuretimeprospecting I just ordered the same sluice but with the vortex micro dream mat from Prospectors Dream. I have a ton of black sand with garnets in my prospecting creeks and the small riffles ought to handle it well. Good hunting brother!
@@Ironsja11 You're going to absolutely love it! I take mine to Ohio often, use it in a nice creek with lots of black sands..She chews right through it and still only leaves you with about a quarter cup of concentrates!

I'm not sure, but southern WV should have some gold. Had a friend in Lincoln County that found a little there.

Koegels are the best hands down! Slaw definitely from the south my Kentucky buddy loves the slaw on them.
