Samsung Galaxy Note 2 CAMERA FAIL

We've owned this device for one week. Do I really need to wipe it in order to get the camera app working again?
Edit: Clearing the data in the camera settings helped, but the front-facing camera still gives errors!

I just bought Grand 2 today, the camera worked perfectly in the beginning and after some hours it gave me the same message after freezing a while, i will get it back to the store

that also happened with my note 2 phone, so what I did i hold down the power key to restart the phone but it did not show restart, instead it shows reboot options so i press on reboot and then i press on recovery then the camera start bk 2 work. Hope this helps and no i did not lost anything when i reboot my phone, everything is still there in my phone. just click on reboot, then recovery, then from there the phone will reboot itself n u will get your camera bk

i had the problem before,, try go to setting->app manager->swipe to all section->locate your camera app->and then choose clear data,, GOOD LUCK ****

I tried all the ways I know and nothing worked. Unfortunately, this phone was bought from abroad. Warranty is useless. Help me pleaaase! I Can't live a day without taking pictures. It's been 3 days. :(

I have had my Note 2 for a year and it started doing this. Some say it is a loose connector, some say firmware. I have had it apart and there are no loose connectors and I did a Factory Rest twice, no luck. It will probably go on Ebay and I will get a Note 3.

First what u need to do is go to playstore and download some other camera app like camera 360, install it and check it if that is working or not if not them that's not software problem that's hardware problem if u r phone still had warranty u should go to at&t store and tell them that problem ask for replacement phone!
if u r out of warranty just buy a new camera on ebay or amazon about $10 and replace it!

After a few restarts, the "clear data" option became available and clickable. Seems to have done the trick.

I've got the same problem. Only seems to be on the front-facing camera. If the app crashes immediately like what your video shows, hitting the toggle to the rear camera will get that working. No fix for the front-facing camera.

Then Once You see Camera Exit Then Go Back To Camera ......

it is a software problem... go to application manager then running apllication.... show cacehd... hit camera than hit stop... and after go to ur camera and use it... good luck

First my grand prime showing CAMERA FAILED then i go to application manager where i press the wrong button then it shows the MEDIA SERVER FAILED i realy sad then one friend show me that go to Setting =>> about device ==> then Software update.
Now my ph is absolutely well. I am happy and thanks to TH-cam.
