Sharp, Clean, Classy styling and your energetic and honest approach to delivering it to us is well received on this end also. Well Done - I'm in the market for one of these and happened upon your positive approach in representing this Tiguan sincerely!
Got this same exact vehicle 3 months ago and it's amazing. All of the tech you've got for the price and the cargo space... There's no chip or power upgrade to be made with the ecu yet. Called many people about that.
Gotta have the R-Line in the Tiguan, a million percent better looking than the lower trims. This will be my next vehicle. Also, shout out to Murdock VW in Logan (Utah), where this video was filmed. Got a '17 Jetta from them two years ago and was the best car-buying experience I've ever had. I'll be back.
I agree a Million times over! The R-Line package adds so much to the basic Tiguan style. Thank you for the shout out, really really appreciate it. Glad to hear it was a great experience. Let me know when your in the market! Come and see me, thanks again.
Everyone seems to forget that the R line also includes the replacement of black plastic side skirts with that of painted to match side skirts. The R line also includes a black painted rear diffuser instead of a black plastic one. And not sure if you knew this, but I think for like $4,000 you can get this car's ecu flashed with a stage 2 apr tune and it will put out like 325hp instead of 186hp. Big difference for a minimal amount of money if you ask me. And then the performance will match the bad ass looks if you know what I mean....lol
Good Comment! The subtle differences turn out to be huge! I actually had no idea about the power gains. Its got the same engine as the GTI but I never thought of adding power to it like that. Best of both worlds, looks and power, I couldn't agree more.
SpeedDemon Yes, they are finominal cars, I love Volkswagen and I'm American. I'm so glad they gave the new Tiguan and Atlas a really good warranty. It proves to all the VW haters that they are reliable cars. Anyway, take care man thanks for the video!
@@Swatsrong30 I think he meant $400-$500 to chip the car, not 4 grand, definitely a typo. APR and other companies charge around $499 for a nice power tune.
So, I've noticed that there is absolutely zero consistency in VW's Tiguan line. Specifically looking solely at the 2019 VW Tiguan SEL Premium, R-Line, w/ 4Motion: 1) Some Tiguan's have the round-type airbag/horn bumper in the center of the steering wheel with paddle shifters, where others have the t-type airbag/horn bumper in the center of the steering wheel. 2) Some Tiguan's have a slowly illuminating Blind Sport Monitor Indicator Light built into the side view mirrors (NOT the mirror itself, but the plastic casing) -- closest to the driver and passenger, and some do not. 3) Some Tiguan's have Puddle Lights built either into the bottom of the sideview mirrors or the bottom of the front doors, and some do not. 4) Some Tiguan's have a LED compass built into the auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and some do not. 5) Some Tiguan's have a pocket built into the center of the dash, where some have a speaker. 6) Some Tiguan's have an illuminated Door Sill Plate, some do not. 7) Some Tiguan's have buttons for temperature control, fan speed, and heated seat controls for the 2nd row that passengers in the second row can control -- right underneath the vents, and some do not. 8) Some Tiguan's 2nd row seats can recline, some cannot. 9) Some Tiguan's have a 2nd row pocket/drink holder to the bottom of the passenger seat (NOT the door pocket), and some do not. 10) Some Tiguan's have tinted privacy glass, and some do not. 11) Some Tiguan's have garage door buttons, and some do not. May I ask what's the deal with all the inconsistencies? Is it a regional difference? Manufacturing plant difference? Do you have to specifically ask for these things and special order your Tiguan this way? Looking for some insight and answers please.
American Tiguans have the lowest content compared to EU and other parts of the world. You will find cheaper materials and content in North American Tiguans.
Mister Methuselah It’s not the materials, it’s more the content. Materials are the same, and the cars come off the same production line at the same assembly plant. It has to do with market position. The Tiguan and any other VW in Europe for example, enjoys a “premium” rep with gimmicky tech comparable to stuff Daimler and BMW put out. In North America (talking about USA and Canada), the VW is placed to compete with economy brands like Toyota and Honda. So there you go. At the end, price will dictate if the car gets a discover pro or discover media head unit.
@@DeniJasmina North American Tiguans don't have rear a/c controls option, don't have adjustable suspensions and a whole bunch of things, etc., etc., etc. All you have to do is to the British VW site and use the configurator and you will see all the things you can't get with North American Tiguans. Too bad it still has the underpowered and gimped engine which does not keep up with the upgraded look. It needs cooled seats and rear a/c options. These are offered in the EU Allspace version.
Mister Methuselah US models get remote start, Allspace doesn’t. Also, no Tiguan has cooled seats. But then look, we get the amazing mark 7 Jetta and the mighty Atlas that has all of that + more.
@@DeniJasmina Atlas already has 7+ recalls regarding engine, fuel, electrics, brakes (as does the Tiguan). Classic VW reliability issues. That's one thing I wish VW's didn't come with. The new Jetta is an abomination. Looks ugly outside and we know that nice-looking interior will fall apart after 2 years. Now let's not talk about the cheap torsion beam rear suspension. There is no Fahrvergnügen in VWs. Just cheapness, recalls, lousy handling and headaches.
VWdeni probably because of we’ll documented past reliability issues with DSG and the emissions scandal which has cost VW £billions! Is the 8 speed auto a VW gearbox or ZF?
VWdeni not a particular quality gearbox in my experience. I have a 2018 BMW X1 auto with the same 8 speed Asin gearbox which has a jerky gear change. The ZF is far superior.
666DW Works great in this application, and as mentioned, it is designed to be efficient, reliable and low maintenance. DSG is great for performance hence why VW puts them in the Golf GTI/Alltrack/R or Jetta GLI.
