We just purchased the 7 passenger 2019 Tiguan SE 2 weeks ago. Our 6 year old Lab "lexie" approves. It's not too big or small, and the extra seating is a bonus.
We recently moved from a 2015 to the 2019 Tiguan because of the additional space! We find that it’s just big enough for our family but not a boat to maneuver. The Birdseye parking feature is amazing!!!
Kia 7 years unlimited km across the range, toyota 5 years unlimited. 72 000 miles is not much over 6 years. Vw cant give warranty bc they know their cars break after 100k kms
I don't know how youtube alghoritm found your channel but it's awesome. In Poland most of youtube-car reviewers, making pretty long and boring videos. I love dynamic camera transitions in your videos, changing point of view and your full of energy style. In my opinion you can improve your videos when you say few word about engines in particular models and maybe fuel economy? Probably is not important in US but for foreigner is important issue. Looking forward to some comparison between VW crossovers (maybe audi/vw/skoda?). Keep doing good work! Greetings from Poland!
Brian Wilson I think you should buy it. We just bought one in orange, the Sel Premium and we love it and we get so many compliments and we went ahead and got the 3rd row for the grandkids, it's not for adults!
I've only had my Tiguan sel since late Oct and already have 10,000 miles on it. Its quiet, can easily do 80. Its a 4 cylinder so the up front power isn't the best, but sport mode gives it some extra pep.
Do you prefer the Tiguan over the Altas? My Lab is about 102lbs and I’m looking to add another one to my pack. My Kia Sportage is not going to make it with two dogs. Lol.

So VW has to spend a lot of money to clean the car so they can re-sell it. But I wouldn't buy it anyway. Cute dog, but if it drools on the back seat, you buy it.
It does have the Golf R engine, but the R comes stock with a bigger turbo which in turn makes more power. The GTI, R, and Tiguan all have the 2.0t TSI engine. The difference is in how tuned they come from the factory (and the R's bigger turbo).

Biggest plus I saw for the Tiguan is that class-best 6 years/72,000 miles warranty, but the biggest minus is the 22/27 mpg and the class-worst

I put some seriously mileage on the car. It didn’t give me any reason to think anything was buggy in it to be honest!

With two dogs, 1000% an Atlas - the two dogs would probably still work with the Tiguan, but you may lose out on passenger options
