It's probably in one of their other videos. 1AAuto does this too. When I was learning how to change the cv axle, I completely missed that they had removed the shock to get the axle out. If you watched their video on changing the tire rod though, it was all the same setting and they showed the shock being taken off. I think they do a long video of several different replacements, and then cut each video down to only the most relevant info for that specific job.
You sure you mean TIMING belt? The timing belt has nothing to do with accessing the thermostat on this engine. The timing belt sits behind the black metal covers on the front of the engine. The belts in the way are serpentine or V-belts.
I have an 01 Nissan Frontier 3.3. I will make one soon for the coolant temp sensor. Still trying to figure out the ignorant connector that it has. No release tabs. 😂
Is it a hose or a tube? I noticed the tube behind my thermostat is corroded and leaking into the valley. 01 Frontier 3.3. It looks like the upper and lower intake plenum needs to be removed to get to the POS.
You're nuts. Imma leave it running while I fill it like always. Plus, how do you know you got all the air bubbles out of you don't let the thermostat open again?
Letting off the pedal? Literally dozens of reason. Just losing power isn't enough info to go on. CEL on? If so, what are the codes? Throttle body dirty. Bad throttle body. Bad MAF. Clogged cats. Bad o2 sensors, etc.....
just skip removing the timing belt? typical Haynes, that's why you need how to video's
shouldn't need to remove it
You are right, the video Skips from removing the air conditioning belt to all of a sudden there's no timing belt
they do that so you can get a better view, but its not necessary at all that why its skipped

Can you make a video for the coolant temperature sensor

How bout the hose behind the thermostat housing? I need to change that one. Is it easy? Coolant dripping from there

So at the beginning why did he take the negative terminal off?
Standard procedure, disconnect battery before changing your wiper blades
@@hectormorales4002 lol
antiseize on thermostat bolts , steel bolts to aluminum always
Am I the only one that noticed that they were putting in 2 different coolants?
No , I noticed that also ... Also noticed jiggle pin was down on old thermostat .
This is not a step by step procedure and why is the timing belt remove? Lmao
The text in the intro of the video states that they removed extra parts and belts so that you could better see what they were doing.
This is not useful if you have the 4 cylinder model.
I bought my thermostat from autozone it's a Duralast part number 3948 but it looks different the jiggle valve is located in the inner not outer
nice video thanks for the tips. i noticed my 04 frontier v6 didnt have a gasket on the thermostat it just had silicone
Correct. They don't use the gaskets shown here. Rtv only.
They skipped the fan part
Useless information.
"The correct orientation"
I am here to find the socket sizes and "the correct orientation".
Completely useless information.
What rtv sealant was used in this video? Thanks
You're nuts. Imma leave it running while I fill it like always. Plus, how do you know you got all the air bubbles out of you don't let the thermostat open again?
You can always run it after you have put some of the coolant in. Top it off after the level goes down.
Will a 2000 Xterra v6 3.3cc use the gasket or just RTV?
Some mechanics don’t follow this steps and that’s why they damage the engene good video thanks
Thanks Jose
I recently research to TH-cam I don't have to replace the thermostat on my 4 cylinder Nissan Frontier this BS is all I got can you help me?
necesito este video pero en español

Why my car losing power while driving frontier 06?
Out of gas.

Es el mejor video que he visto sobre mecánica, muy bien explicado paso a paso, muchas gracias por compartir sus conocimientos. Manos a la obra.
Great video!
