Thanks for the info ! Im glad my Advance Auto carries Hi flo for the Raptor and i think theyre up over $13 now. Another part that OEM is the best choice.
I’m a Honda guy, but I only use Honda or hi flo filters. The hi flo ones seem to scrunch up on me where the oem doesn’t so I have been sticking with oem ones.
Can you make a video on how to set timing. My 700 doesn’t start on first crank like all the videos I watch. I have to hold start button for a few seconds before it fires up.
Same filter as every other 700 it’s a 145 part number for the filter k&n 145 -hi Flo 145 and stock Yamaha 145 and those are the three we use in ours when needed as to what’s available near us.
Under the seat on the intake cover it says your recommended oil type, I have always used 10w/40 which isn’t the one recommended on the intake cover but lots of people have said it’s great, the ais delete plate won’t cause engine issues being add to a stock 700 but if your putting a full exhaust, new intake then it’s recommended to tune the bike with the ais already installed so it gets rid of that over flow of pops which isn’t good at the end of day for the bike but sounds sick when down shifting 🫣😂
As always, thanks for the info. I'm using Tusk ATM, but I ordered some Amsoil filters with some oil.. I noticed that wasn't in the video. What are your thoughts on their filter?
I used most of the products, even the original ones. After years, it was changed to Chinese products. But at first I was afraid, but after advice from my good friend, I decided to do so. They all said the same thing, the most important thing is to replace it a little before time or as soon as possible. Yes, I am glad that China sometimes makes good alternative products for mothers. Due to the exaggeration in raising prices for companies such as Yamaha and KTM.
I always heard stick with oem when it comes to raptor filters. Good info here, thanks for the video.

Daniel is your shop in CA?
Im in Oregon. Eugene
Can’t go wrong with oem
Personally I think it's not the best design. They should incorporate a spring somehow to maintain constant pressure on the filter.
OEM
