This is my favorite version of Cyborg's origin BECAUSE of how graphic it is. It really hammers in the distraught and urgency of getting him that Apokaliptian technology placed in.
I don't think Dick learned that wisdom from Batman. If anyone is lingering in the past and letting it define his future, it's Batman. Nightwing was marked by roughly the same tragedy as Batman, but he chose not to become like Batman; he even says so during therapy in Season 1. This, I think, proves why Nightwing is ultimately the 'healthier' hero, r/t Batman, and has plenty of wisdom he figured out on his own.
Also, I don't think that is the definitive origin of Cyborg, unless it has been retconned. I think (and this is going back, like 40 years of my life ago) the basics are there, but Silas Stone saved Victor's life with just tech he had laying around. At that time in the DC Comics, there really wasn't a lot of Darkseid or New Genesis stuff going on, so Motherboxes were a little obscure for the Titans, which went on to become DC's biggest series for a few years, even outselling Batman and Superman for awhile, IIRC. Thanks for watching these, Rye!
His neglect didn't make Victor storm out and the cable to snap. That was all Victor. What was he supposed to do? Let his son die. I get that yes Sylus should have had more interest in his son and football, but he was helping The Justice League and helping the planet from future hostile aliens. Football, save the planet umm which is more important.
Sorry for the audio if it sounds low! I’ll test higher audio levels in the next couple videos, but those often have higher risks of getting copyright. If you want the BEST quality, check my Patreon!
Man, they must be hitting you hard with the copyright or something. Every time i try to watch your Young Justice reactions, it seems like you put the show's volume lower and lower each time 😂.
