'Matches' Malone is a long-time persona Batman uses in the comics. He's a conman and small-time thief. Here, he's repurposed as an Irish dad. Nice to see that hat tip. Batman is one of the few who can match Lex Luthor on a strategic/tactical level, but there is a fall out. We'll see more of that in the next few episodes actually. Thanks for watching these!

Absolute perfection. Writing and performances that really make you care about the characters and draw out that emotion which makes this one of the best series finales ever. Special shout out to the composer for the series with just a stellar score throughout the show and never was it better than here.

What you're seeing is a series of meetings, BTW. You'll see that by the end of the season. Things have been happening and they've been talking about it and how it affects their mission to fight the Light both out in the open and covertly. And yeah, the time skip. Robin was the youngest at 13, in season 1. Now, he's 20 and running a covert team of his own. And despite being just 20, he's very well respected in the superhero community (Hell, he gets to call Superman 'Clark'!) and even Batman defers to his judgement on occasion. Kaldur is basically in the same boat, along with Megan. Rocket and Zatarra operate in the open as part of the League, and you'll see next series how they've advanced as adult heroes. Artemis is stepping up this season; you'll see her advancement unfold. As for Superboy, he says he prefers to operate from behind the scenes. In a way, he's been avoiding the limelight, but you'll see him advance bit by bit this series and the next. His case, his story, is more nuanced, so I hate to give any reasons, and every viewer can probably take away their own thoughts on Conner's reasons. Personally, I think that, while he is a natural leader, he prefers to take a back seat to give everyone else around him time to grow, as an act of selflessness, but that's just my $.02. Thanks, Rye!

The Newsgirl Legion is a double nod. First, to Scooby Doo; they just lack a Shaggy and a talking dog (check the clothes).
