Ok this seriously needs some kind of a warning in the title or something. If the music goes right from A to B, with nothing in between, that would be a whole step, because it is rising by one entire note. But in between each whole step is a half step, which for A and B would be A# or Bb, which are the same note written one way or the other depending on whether the note is going lower or higher, sharp/# being higher and flat/b being higher. So when Jeremy goes from a G to a G#, he raises the pitch by half of a musical step. He does so flawlessly I might add- no break between the notes, he just slides smoothly into the G#
