Out of this world! Yes!! I first discovered it on a friend's commadore computer in 1990 when it was known as Another World. This and Flashback still to this day are my two favorite Sega Genesis games. And the ending of Flashback... still an absolute tear jerker for me to this day. I won't spoil it, but if you have not played these games, please do yourself a favor and play them. These are the only 2 games I kept CIB when I sold my collection. And fun fact... Out of this world was made by one guy! Thanks for talking about these! You guys are awesome!
I’d say a pretty underrated game on modern consoles is Tunic. It’s like 2D Zelda but you start with no idea how to progress and have to put together the super interesting game on your own. Highly recommend.
For me, my favorite SNES game that no one talks about is Cybernator. Awesome graphics and animation, tight gameplay, it's so good! On GBA Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure is an awesome game I didn't know it existed until this year, and I never heard anyone talk about it. Beautiful sprites, fund 2D side scroller gameplay.
So I just started the video and I have to let it be known even though I'm sure Chris already knows, but Flashback was re-released on the Switch and from what I have seen it looks a lot like it did on the SNES. It does look like it's more smooth than it was. My only suggestion to give is Super Conflict on the SNES. It's a war time strategy game and so underrated at least to my opinion. The only problem I have is that game stores never change the battery because how cheap the game is. I'm only a couple minutes in so if it's called out, it just means I haven't watched enough yet. Now back to the video 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@ kind of a lost opportunity not to release the games. They can do it like the collectors edition of the NES championship where they release it with a version for modern and one you can play on older consoles
SOLEIL for the mega drive is my favourite mega drive zelda clone , amazing graphics despite the age and a fairly good soundtrack also 😊 oh and necronomicon on the ps1 , true point and click mastery
One more gem that has always stuck with me for my entire life is the incredible machine on Windows 98 think it's made by sierra dude that game was so good haha
Flashback I have heard of, but never played. Out of this World I had never heard of. SpongeBob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom I do know of and probably the 1st SpongeBob game that comes to mind when thinking of SpongeBob games. Time Diver: Eon Man I've never heard of, but can you really count unreleased games for hidden gems? Captain America and the Avengers I've not heard of. Inverses Deluxe I never heard of, but also never had an Xbox. Jamestown never heard of, but it looks great! The Black Cauldron was such a good game back in the day. Also based on one of my favorite Disney movies. Adventures of Pip I've not played, but I know of. Seen someone do a playthrough. I know it came out on the Switch. A few games I feel that are hidden gems: Vexx - this is on GameCube, PS2, and Xbox. It is a platformer collection game like Mario Sunshine, but dark. My favorite of the collection genre and one I thankfully still own. Obviously easier now with the internet, but one of the puzzles in the game solution was in the booklet, so a CIB is ideal for anyone seeking this... unless of course you just look up the answer online instead. Kid Chameleon - originally a Sega Genesis exclusive, but now looks to be on a lot of platforms now. This is a side scrolling platfromer game. The story is this AI in a virtual reality game starts abducting players. You play as a guy who goes into save everyone by beating the final boss. What I loved most about this game is that it has 100+ levels and in each level you had to find these masks that each one would grant you different abilities. Could only use 1 mask at a time. People give it hate for the lack of a save system, but I feel that a lot of games back then didn't use save files, unless if they were an RPG.
Another world is such a good game. Way ahead of its time. And its pretty much made buy one guy Eric Chahi. When we where kids we consider Flashback to be the sequel. But the real sequel is Heart of the Alien on Sega/Mega CD.
I got a hidden gem The games called mouse trap it was on the amiga and the atari ST bro this game was so fun !!!! Have you guys heard of it ? Classic !!
Jamestown is Limited Run PS4 physical release now as for me my favourite hidden gem is the Futurama video game played the heck out of it on PS2 and it's on my top 5 favourite games as they say it truley is a full on episode of Futurama another great hidden gem is Pajama Sam series on PC loved that series played the heck out of it as a kid prob put 1000+ hours into the Pajama Sam series
The brainies on super Nintendo is one I don't hear much about and on the megadrive/genesis I had to get push it imported from the US to England both good puzzle games
Kris is so nice to include his son in his hobby podcast ❤
@@ZBatt1 yeah we actually all went up balling yesterday! Super fun.
The Punisher on the PS2/Xbox is extremely underrated.
"MY SUE BAH"
Riff & Chris: LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!! 😂🤣
Props to Chris for the Black Cauldron. Loved that game growing up (there is sound in that game).
Don’t let Kris see this comment lol
Black Cauldron is my favorite Disney animated movie and the Apple game Chris brought up is amazing. Chris, excellent choice! So good.
Flashback! I knew I loved Chris
It's a PAL exclusive, but Turbo Toons on the SNES. On-screen racetrack with running Hanna Barbara characters, and a really fun versus mode
Flashback was massive and ground braking at the time. Another world and Flashback are also by the same developer.

Elebits. Full Auto and Looney Tunes B-Ball are my choices for great underrated games

@@KingYote definitely going to look into this :)
My underrated game; NES.
Bible Adventures.
I out HOURS into that game as a kid.
Riff I think most people wouldn’t consider an unreleased nes prototype a hidden gem
“I Made a Game with Zombies in It!” On the Xbox 360 arcade was my shit
I was looking through the NES games on my RG35XX SP and found TimeDiver Eon Man Let’s Gooooooooooooo
I will ALWAYS recommend Smurf's Nightmare on the gameboy color. Super tough platformer.
A hidden gem on the nes/famicom is crisis force. Fantastic shooter: great music, great graphics, Konami magic!
I like this concept here on dscussing games with footage

Scurge: Hive on GBA.

A so call hidden gem for me is salt and sanctuary
Destiny of an Emperor on NES. hidden gem.
WIlly Beamish was a hell of a point a click game on Sega CD
Shadow Dancer on sega genesis. Under rated shinobi style game
MUYT SOO BAH
Oregon Trail: Platinum Dysentery Edition 😂😂😂
Blake is on cloud 9 all the time 😂👌
Super Cyborg is a fantastic game if you want something like Contra and Super C.
Hidden Gem SNES: King Arthur's World.
Uses the SNES Mouse and I loved the **** out of this as a kid.
Riff had to mention an unreleased game. That game looked super finished makes you wonder how many games where made that never saw the light of day
Wish we could actually know this 😢
@ kind of a lost opportunity not to release the games. They can do it like the collectors edition of the NES championship where they release it with a version for modern and one you can play on older consoles
Red dead revolver is what comes to mind right away
Or justice league heroes on Xbox

Many hidden gems from 1980-Now
So many that we need to talk about too 😮
Black cloudren is based off the movie
Another world is such a good game. Way ahead of its time. And its pretty much made buy one guy Eric Chahi.

If arcade counts for hidden gems "wardner". "War final assault Atari arcade machine"
@@bedroomarcade3160 War Final Assault is crazy fun!!!
