A video idea I've had for YEARS is finally all together and it sure ended up chunky. What are some other crossovers you think I should look at in the future? I tried to get as many as possible but there's only... so much time... Sorry this one took so long, I got sick for a bit there and had an unfortunate family incident. Tell people you love them when you can and take care of yourselves! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
bro checkout Super Robot Wars series aka the only Crossover that actually have the characters from different series interact with each other and even form relationships. They even go as far as to create Actual Lore explanation why they all coexists.
Indie Pogo was an indie crossover fighting game that actually threw together Bit.Trip Runner, Downwell, and Rivals of Aether together long before Fraymakers did, and on top of that it also has Shovel Knight, Teslagrad, Freedom Planet, Divekick, and even Super Meat Boy and Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy.
The funniest Final Fantasy crossover was when they put a Chocobo in Assassin's Creed. But it had to work as an existing mount, so they gave it 4 legs to fit the camels. It was horrifying. I loved it.
The Mario + Rabbids games have no right being as good as they are. Not only is the crossover random, but it led to Mario characters using GUNS. The Rabbid Luigi happenstance is icing on the cake.
Here for this comment, I expected very little when I picked up Kingdom Battle on sale. Instead, I got Princess Peach wielding a friggin’ shotgun and fart grenades.
I personally feel like Super robot Taisen is probably the best crossover in terms of character interactions. A world where franchises such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Magic Knight Rayearth, Gundam, Cowboy Bebop and many many others existing in the same universe in tactics games where you recruit them to your squad and you help them through their storylines ala Kingdom hearts. Most of the series is locked to Japan but some of them have come outside of it, with several others getting fan translations.
Maybe a bit obscure, but one of my favorite "What? Why?" cameos in a fighting game is still Pepsiman just showing up in the Japanese version of Fighting Vipers on Saturn
Nier Automata is so funny because it literally has 2B show up with just about every random game imaginable, but it doesn't even have a Spirit png in Smash Ultimate, one of the biggest video game crossovers ever.
Multiversus definitely felt sluggish as hell on relaunch, but it has luckily felt a lot better to play after many, MANY updates. Also, no Namco X Capcom or Project X Zone mention? For shame, that series of games definitely need a video upon themselves! Also, Super Robot Wars as well.
If you are looking to do a Lega Dimension video, and not want to spend a fortune, I would look into buying some NFC tags, then using a smart phone that supports such features. The tag files can be found online with some searching. Either buy enough to cover all the tags you need, or you can try to save and re-write the tags as many times as needed to unlock all the content.
Great video even tho I miss your trademark beard but I'm happy you properly address King of Fighters as a crossover as people weirdly don't treat it like that but for more options, Super Robot Wars is definitely one to consider especially since it's not only a Mecha Crossover, it's also a solid SRPG series that I need to play more OG on GBA, another is Chaos Wars, the one people only bring up because of the bad voice acting ignoring the fact it's the one game that has obscure gems like Gungrave & Shadow Hearts featured alongside another which is Duke Tour Mode from BulletStorm aka Duke Nukem being lost at the plot of the story of BulletStorm & actually makes the game so much better, which is also sad it's a better Duke Nukem game than Forever & finally Mario & Sonic at Olympic Game series as they took the biggest gaming icons & put them in a sports mini game collection which is a choice but I did enjoy Winter Games on the DS, which is a huge shame that series died to NFTs
honestly as fun as a crossover or two can be fun, it's like every franchise or thing is doing it. They are starting to feel more like Food Fight more than anything.
I really enjoyed the video, but I wish Austin talked about Super Robot Wars or Project X Zone. The former especially feels like a big one left out (not just because of its legacy, but also because he talked about the Compati Hero series, which Banpresto also published)
Some games I think you should touch in a part two: Super Robot Wars (the entire franchise): Basically Smash Bros for the mecha genre but with the gameplay of Fire Emblem. Did you want to see Lelouch talking with Shinji? It happens. What about Akito Tenkawa (from Martian Successor Nadessico) teaming up with Simon the Digger? Happened more than once already. Basically, if it is a mech (or mecha-adjacent by now) then it is in at least one game. Namco X Capcom/Project X Zone: An spin-off of SRW. This time around they ditched the mechas and went for the popular franchises of either Namco or Capcom (and SEGA in the sequels). In this sub-series you can see Morrigan Aesland being besties with Chun-Li, Phoenix Wright (and Maya) being hired by Heihachi to defend him in court from a lawsuit sent by M. Bison himself and even most of the SEGA cast treating Segata Sanshiro like a god! Did I mention that PXZ2 has Nintendo cameos as well? Talking about Ace Attorney, you should also include the Great Ace Attorney duology and Ace Attorney vs. Proffesor Layton. I mean, what other game will have freaking -Sherlock Holmes,- excuse me, _Herlock Sholmes_ helping Phoenix's ancestor to find his clients innocent? And Layton isn't too far behind, I mean, he takes part of witch trials, what else do I need to say?
Not so sound like a pedantic douche, but Namco X Capcom/Project X Zone are NOT SRW spinoffs as its their own beasts. First off, they're NOT made by Banpresto but Monolith Soft (yes, Xenoblade Chronicles' Monolith Soft) Second, unlike SRW, we're only missing NXC due to the very small few featured games being Japan exclusive (that and also NXC kinda sucked in general lol) Lastly, again unlike SRW, it was much easier to bring at least Project X Zone 1 and 2 in the West without creating such a massive localized licensing nightmare
Disappointment that Boktai - Megaman Battle Network crossover wasn't mentioned. It was a very effective way of getting players to learn of the Boktai series. In Boktai 2 post game you could fight Shademan.exe as a boss. In MMBN 4 and 5 Django is a character that helps fight Shademan.exe and you get "Sol Cross Megaman" as a form in MMBN5. (Think of it like Modes in Kingdom Hearts.)
I always feel the need to defend PSASBR when it comes to the whole "Why didn't they include THESEN characters? Are they stupid?" so here I go again. The developers REALLY wanted to add as many fan-favorite icons as possible... but they just couldn't for a number of reasons. Crash and Spyro? ActiVision wouldn't let them because they're ActiVision. Lara Croft? Tomb Raider was basically dormant by that point as the reboot wouldn't come out for a couple of years. Snake? Hideo Kojima personally requested Raiden because he felt Snake being in Brawl was enough for him. Dante? That was actually Capcom themselves as they wanted to promote the DMC reboot.
Iron Man and X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal also had two comic books detailing the crossover. Also, Mega Man X doesn't have Robot Masters. Instead, it has Mavericks.
well, specifically, the warriors orochi games are the ones where it's "all the Warriors", meanwhile warriors all-stars is much more focused on having a handful of characters from many of koei's different ips. it's worth noting simply because there's a lot more meat on Orochi 3U or 4's bones compared to the more unique and oddball Warriors All Stars
It must be a curse that all of these gacha games had crossovers with Persona 5 and then hit end of service one year later and _somehow_ War of the Visions is the only one that was left standing. And that's a game that has god damn Addison Rae on it.
MMORPG collabs (specifically mobile) and gacha game collabs are insane (eg:bandori x ojamajo doremi, EVERY SINGLE TORUS ONLINE COLLAB, random rpgs/rhythm or dress up games w little traction collabing w the biggest animes/games/brands on planet earth) FINAL FANTASY MOBILE GAMES HOLY GUACAMOLE

As an avid PSO2/NGS player and seeing as it got mentioned in the Nier Automata crossover section, I'll take this opportunity to mention a few of the crossovers the game has had in the last 12 years it's been active. While most of the crossovers are purely cosmetic, and some may have a special lobby appearance like the Attack on Titan and Godzilla collabs, I'd like to point out a few crossovers that do stand out more: -PSO2 has had few crossovers with its past games, you could meet the protagonist of PSO and PSU and even bring them with you on quests after you completed a few set of tasks they give you. -SAO had a small story crossover where Kirito and Asuna were investigating this new online game called PSO2. -Evangelion had a very cool collab where you actually got to help the protagonists fight against Ramiel using the game's mech suits called A.I.S. (saddly this is exclusive to the JP version, as the Global version never got this collab.) -The FFXIV collab had you fighting Odin in an Urgent Quest. Even after the collab ended, Odin got to stay as a permanent enemy which could randomly appear in the random trials that could happen in the exploration maps (saddly this is exclusive to the JP version, as the Global version never got this collab.) -Sega had an arcade game called Border Breaker. When they added the costumes to the game, they also added an enemy from BB called Gear Knight, which also got to stay as a permanent enemy. (In the JP, it got the same treatment as Odin, but in the global version you can only fight in 2 quests in the whole game) -Monster Hunter Frontiers Z had a collab where you could fight one of the new monster from the updated, called Eruzerion (I believe that's how you spell it) -Hatsune Miku got a concert in PSO2 (concerts ingame can give you boosts in rare drops and such) to promote her new game, Project Diva F -Persona 3/5 Dance also got concerts to promote their games
Yeah, a bit of an oversight on my end! I think I meant to bring it up during the Compati Hero section but theres like 1298321 games in this video so it left the brain.
Diddy Kong Racing may be considered somewhat of a crossover for 3 specific characters: 1. Originally, Diddy Kong wasn't meant to be in the game, but Shigeru Miyamoto suggested that he should be in, and Rare did so, only questioning whether or not the game will sell better. It worked. 2. Banjo was only meant to be included to promote the then upcoming Banjo-Kazooie, but the game got delayed. 3. Conker was only in to promote Twelve Tales, which got canceled later. Both promotion characters couldn't be removed as it was too late in development to do so, so they stayed in the roster. In the DS remake, the Kong Sisters, Dixie and Tiny, replaced the two guest characters as Nintendo obviously didn't want to promote Conker Live & Reloaded, which was available in stores at the time, and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which was releasing the following year. That is, assuming they were given the possibility to bring back the two guests. And finally, Greg Mayles officially confirmed that Banjo and Conker are not Canon to Diddy Kong Racing as they were supposed to be there for promotional reasons.
I wonder if there's a speedrun category for Lego Dimensions that includes a face cam and requires unboxing and building all the components in real time.

Tatsunoko VS Capcom back then felt like Capcom looked at Italian fighting game fans and thought "Why not make something about their childhood?" Seriously, Tatsunoko stuff was all over the place in Italy during the '70s and '80s.
Can't believe Austin did a cross over with a razor. Also regardless of what game you cover next either of those are slop and i will thank you for your service!!
Never would I ever imagine Austin even knowing that Combate Monero existed. I also do not know all the characters... and I'm supposed to be part of that very specific culture.
While not technically a cross over fighting game, Rivals of Aether's mods add just about everyone. Wanna beat up Vergil sitting in a chair with the Wii Mote Safety Guy? You can.
The Super Robot Taisen erasure is just cruel Also, remember when a gacha game called The King of Fighters ALL STAR had a collab with WWE, among other things? It was a field day.
I was expecting this video to go meta and having special guests or cameos of other youtubers, still happy that we will see the yearly worst game of the year and maybe a "I beat Suicide Squad/Funko Fusion 100% so you don't have to"!
Yo-kai watch mentioned. Also, it was so weird hearing the Japanese version of the season 2 ending theme as one who grew up on Disney XD's dubbed version
Surprised there's no mention of the clothing collabs, like Final Fantasy×Louis Vuitton, or all the designer sunglasses in Metal Gear Solid V. Or even the celebrity cameos in Death Stranding.
King of Fighters All Star had a ton of crossovers! Several times with Street Fighter, DoA, Seven Deadly Sins, WWE, Samurai Showdown, and tons of others. It was just recently shut down in September after 5 years on mobile. Good times!! Oh, and did you mention Project X Zone, and Namco x Capcom?
@@brendanroberts1310it's not that deep, we just literally don't know how to pronounce it. Nike commercials say the name and they have a lot of collaborations. I've never seen Adidas commercial or endorsement.

"when everything is a crossover, nothing is" Syndrome from Disney's infinity The incredible Pack, In Fortnite's Minecraft LEGO dlc
kiryu in a golf game makes perfect sense. golf is playable in most of the yakuza games so it just works
Never would I ever imagine Austin even knowing that Combate Monero existed.
I also do not know all the characters... and I'm supposed to be part of that very specific culture.
Clean shaven Austin is something I can't unsee now.
While not technically a cross over fighting game, Rivals of Aether's mods add just about everyone.
Wanna beat up Vergil sitting in a chair with the Wii Mote Safety Guy? You can.
In the fighting crossover space, don't forget the fact that there's an entire fighting game dedicated to Hololive VTubers.
BROTHA EW! BROTHA EW! WHAT’S THAT! I thought this was Austin Eurption not Austin REAVES!
im sorry for my face.
The Super Robot Taisen erasure is just cruel
Also, remember when a gacha game called The King of Fighters ALL STAR had a collab with WWE, among other things?
Nier crossovers got to fund that next Yoko Taro game, I still have hope.
Ew, you touched it! “Funko Fusion.” Remember to wash your hands!
"Welcome to I.P. Soup."
You should see a doctor about that.
To mention the ultimate battle of ultimate destiny and the genesis spiderman game has overloaded my nostalgia circuits, I'm shutting down
Super robot wars is a pretty big crossover franchise that had a lasting effect on sone of the franchises that showed up in it.
2:48 That's "ah-dee-DAHS".
Adidas is a German brand so the Americans don't pronounce it correctly. But the Americans do pronounce Nike correctly as its a American company.
@@brendanroberts1310it's not that deep, we just literally don't know how to pronounce it. Nike commercials say the name and they have a lot of collaborations. I've never seen Adidas commercial or endorsement.
The moment I saw the thumbnail I knew it was Ehrgeiz - its hilarious that its the only fighting game besides Smash Bros that has been able to get Cloud on board (and Tifa - which is only funnier from the recent Tekken TGA reveal)
Glad you took some time off you were feeding us a gluttonous amount of content for that short time
Missed Vampire Survivors? Thats got some crazy cross overs, including Castlevania which inspired the game itself.
Dissidia Final Fantasy : "Why you say ef me for ?"😂😂😂
