Some don't have cabs because they never had any. Some of the combines are trailer combines and need a tractor to power and pull them. Chaff and the heat plus spark from the engine, broken bearing or a cut electrical wire starts the first. And most drivers just walk away (own safety comes first) as its very hard to stop a combines fire. But nice nice video
Combines catch fire because there are loads of moving parts with bearings, when they fail they generate heat and then ignite the fine dust. It's usually all down to poor maintenance. A Combine only works for a few weeks per year that's why despite their age they look fairly new.
No expert on these things but good to see a combine scrapyard and inside them too,the combine that had the black reg plate was an S reg and if I remember correctly that was 1977 so very old that one.

Most of the fires are coursed by not been blown out ny air the filters engines ect due the amount of dust The new ones cost anyway £180k to the John Deere X9 that cost around £700 They all look around early 80s to mid 90s
Thank You for all the years of harvesting service in feeding the world!...Rest in peace my old horses. 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍

Oi 👍👍👍👍
Banger video👌🏻
I think the fires are caused by excessive dust. Front attachment is called a header. Good video

Probably more like a bearing gone wrong and sets fire to the grease and dust
