I use to live at RAF Scampton when I was younger, we only hopped the fence a couple of times due to either childish stupidity or boredom. We then realised that it was probably not the best idea so never did it again. RAF Scampton is still owned by the Home Office who are responsible for immigration, security and law and order. Going there was probably not you brightest idea.

You’ve accessed military equipment causing damage which will require thorough safety inspections on the aircraft you opened up. I remember I couldn't believe North Shields was getting something I'd only ever seen abroad. There was a real feel of optimism in the air with all of the development that was taking place in the area. I went with my mates and with my dad - fair play to the guy, he went down all the big slides just like I did. A bit too much wee and verucca plasters for my liking once the place had been open for a while, but so much fun. Loved drifting outside on a tyre in the lazy river on a chilly dark autumn evening and seeing the steam rising before gently drifting back inside under the plastic flaps. 😆
