Yes me too man. What a great guy. I'm a HUGE Type O Negative fan but even more so Anthrax now.
This is just one of the reasons why Anthrax were always at the very top of my thrash metal list. Seem like such great guys. Down to earth and none of that rock star bullshit.
He made a couple of bass clinics here on Chile, and my brother went (i had to work). He took the time to shake hands with everyone, taught a few kids, and even a couple of drinks to some older guys. I love to see down to earth musicians of this level, it makes me proud to be a fan of this kind of guys.
I met him when I was like 16. It was at a Kiss Convention in New Jersey. He was totally cool. He posed for a picture & everything. I also met Joey YEARS later. He was also a nice guy. He stayed after a solo show & met EVERY fan in the building. I have always liked Anthrax best out of the "Big 4."
Seems like the bass players are always the most laid back. Not to say frontmen aren't or drummers aren't, but Bello, Ellefson, Butler... all really chill guys.

Yeah, unlike Charlie & Scott - well, according to a lot of people who meet them. I never met them, but this is what a lot of people say about Scott's & Charlie's personalities. Their fans view them as douchebags.

Last summer, Mr Bello looked at me from the stage, pointed a pick at me, then threw it right in my hand. Sooooo starstruck, haha.
Out of all the band members, Mr Bello is the most energetic out of all of them, and that says a little when you you see Ian or Belladonna jump around on stage. Just an awesome guy!

I have met Frank a couple of times. He is a very human being. Definitely one of my favorite bass guitar players of all time. I love watching him on stage too. He loves his job!

Nothing more refreshing than a humble rock star.... or any type of famous person. I mean, this guy isn't afraid to show his true self and its fuckin cool. Authenticity is what cool is.... and this dude is always shows an authentic side when he speaks. No showing off... no act... no 'look at me im better than you' bs attitude.... just himself as the person he is. Big respect.

Tom is pretty humble, but the fact that he’s always at the front of the stage (and constantly screaming) doesn’t really make him appear as such. He’s a really nice guy offstage though.

The thing I love about this interview is that it doesn't feel like an interview, Frank just seems like he's having a good and friendly chat with Gruhamed.
Have met Frank twice, and both times, nicest guy. He was extremely cool to all the fans that were present. Signing and talking with all of them. Asking the fans questions too. Super engaging dude. First time I met them, Scott and Charlie seemed a little more aloof, but Rob, Frank, and John were amazing. Second time met them, Scott and Charlie were a ton better (people have bad days, it happens, didn't take it personal from first time met them) and Joey and Frank were amazing. Jonathan Donais seemed like had woken up recently, and I actually felt bad didn't ask him about Shadows Fall stuff. My buddy that went along with me for the meet & greet brought a Shadows Fall vinyl to have him sign, and he was really cool about it. Frank though, every time, he is the best. Super humble.

saw Anthrax for the first time this summer in Vienna, I was on the rail and this dude kept looking my way, making face and winking at me and other really cool stuff. :P Just thought I'd share :P
I had the same experience at Wacken 2013, Frank's just the best with his faces and winks, always encouraging everyone to sing along and rock. Such a cutie :P gonna see them again in 60 days, cannot wait :P

Frank rules. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and has always been such a good, humble, down to earth guy. We're from the same neighborhood in the Bronx and we spent more time talking about landmarks than music.

Are Anthrax basslines complex? I'm legitimately asking, I've never listened to them enough to learn their stuff but the few songs I know offhand have always struck me as pretty simple. Fast, but simple.
