      I think there are some people now who can be really good storytellers, as well, honesty.
      Guys like Bray, like Seth Rollins, like Finn Balor, I feel would be really fascinating to hear their take on what the industry as taught them and how they evolved characters from the indies or NXT to now.

      @Jonathan Esser One genuine thing about him, and it seems pretty inarguable, is there isn't much to be said about him that could be said that's either scandalous, or crazy to hear. He's a historically straight edge guy that has always followed the rules, it's just his burials of other wrestlers. And if you really want to get into semantics he kind of got to that position by playing by the rules too, he simply got close to and then married the owner of the company he works for's daughter, and remained professional enough to Vince behind the scenes for Vince to obviously continue giving him a few more yards of rope to play with all the way to getting his own brand. It was all very business like haha.

    • @sega32xxx14
      @sega32xxx14 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      And that's coming from someone who has always found him to be a talented, but boring wrestler, who I never once liked or found myself rooting for. Doesn't mean I can't see how intelligently he climbed his way to the top, and that's with the seemingly genuine love and relationship he has with Stephanie, which I think for someone like Paul was the plus in the larger picture that was his career and legacy as a man.

    • @harveyholmes9533
      @harveyholmes9533 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      SeGa32xXx it annoys me when people say he’s only in his position because of his marriage, like he says he was being brought in on production meetings in his early to mid 20s because he had the balls and foresight to offer to help out, he’s a 25 year vet, clearly very intelligent and knows a ton about the business, it would be mental for him not to be in his position of power

    • @sega32xxx14
      @sega32xxx14 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@harveyholmes9533 I never said it was the only thing, but you'd be blind to say he didn't secure such a top spot by the nature of his relationship. I mentioned that has professionalism obviously influenced Vince, and without his hard working, knowledgeable nature, he certainly wouldn't have been a lock the way he became, but there are plenty of knowledgeable, hard working guys who have the potential to succeed in his position that would've gladly accepted the opportunity, but H locked it up with his savvy relationship move. It's essentially inarguable. He certainly isn't the only wrestler that has/ has had the potential over the years to take the mantl, and continue on successfully, but he's certainly the only one that put himself in the position to be SUCH a highly likely position to be chosen for that spot.

    • @harveyholmes9533
      @harveyholmes9533 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      SeGa32xXx I just think it’s kinda rude to suggest he married Steph for the career opportunity, maybe it played a role but if he’s being brought into meetings at 25/26 I don’t think many others would have been in his position at that age and had the work ethic to stick around

    One thing I always loved about Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression is that a lot of promos and things were unscripted. The product back then was just amazing. Nowadays if I would be in a wwe show and they say to me to go in the ring an make an unscripted promo I would just talk shit and curse and make the crowd go crazy but unfortunately you can’t say stuff like back then. Now you gotta be careful about the media and about the kids hearing and watching stuff, the product is pg so is much scripted and boring. Imagine John Cena making that racial promo he made back in Ruthless aggression to Eddie Guerrero, all the media would go crazy 🤣

      Kids watch worse things than wwe. Now it's just a kids show even the superstars are sissy vanilla midgets back than they really worked hard didn't complain moan about injuries etc. It's really cartoonish now and AEW is not an option.

    • @Santiago_RS
      @Santiago_RS 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      MUSTAFAJAFFERY Back then like Kurt said they didn’t have all this control and medical help the superstars have now. You can’t do nothing nowadays that you can get fined or suspended. Like Bischoff and Stone Cold said Every promo feels the same every week cause they can’t do unscripted stuff just the same boring stuff the creative team says and I agree with them.The promos made by women, Jesus those are the worst.

      @@ZECAHRIAH313 Dude 2 things. A> When you are a franchise that the world watches you have to be careful. Rey Mysterio Jr's friend suffered a cardiac arrest from mysterio's dropkick. So they have to be careful. They cant run a zoo where everything is out of control and it becomes a accident prone show. That prove a lot of financial loss mixed with employees leaving the company creating a bad rep in the business. B> The audience earlier supported the attitude era. Now people are finding ways to file lawsuit and the bigger the company the bigger the lawsuit. So you need to understand that things change. There can't be a storyline like Undertaker and Kane. That would flopp. So. It's better this way.

      Yeah it was a rumor spread amoung less talented wrestlers who couldn't get over and were unable to fathom why someone with incredible talent would get a push and be a top guy in the business instead of them. Their lack of a push had nothing to do with them being poor workers, having no mic skills and being boring. It had to be because Vince was banging the talent. That was the only way. Makes you wonder about guys like Hogan, Rock and Cena. I mean Hogan was way more of a back stabbing lying dickhead than HBK ever was. I heard the same rumors about Vince and Ston Cold. Couldn't believe it when they turned out to actually be true. Really thought they were just wildly exaggerated rumors like all the others. Like when Vince would slap Stone Colds ass people would say Vince snuck a couple fingers up there. I thought it was weird because this is wrestling not baseball but whatever, so I just thought he was telling Steve "good game" and the other wrestlers were jealous because Vince wasn't slapping their asses so they were making stuff up but alot of jobbers and ECW guys have done shoot interviews on how they would walk in on Stone Cold blowing Vince all the time or they'd be in the showers together and Vince would always be behind a bent over Stone Cold. Said they weren't even trying to hide it anymore. Those shoots always get buried though. Sandman is on a bus I think in one of the shoots talking about one of the times he caught Steve and Vince. It's crazy stuff.
