I’ll post my settings for more people to see for 60fps and 3 hours battery life: On Steam: FPS limit 60hz, and TDP limit 10. In game: Window Mode -Resolution 720, Scaling 80% Anti-aliasing Medium All other settings low or off when possible. You can even push the TDP to 12 but I found it was unnecessary. Enjoy the game everyone! You can even split screen on the Steam deck with a friend, just make sure in the settings, you press right bumper to access the split screen specific graphics settings!

I’ve been playing sparking zero on my oled steam deck since the first day early access and limit the frame rate to 45 (90 Hz) with medium setting and the only thing that’s high is the map destructions and it runs amazing except for online I’ve played before like 2 matches with no actual problem but maybe those were flukes but I don’t see how I would be able to run it in general so it is possible but it’s maybe just a bug for now

It drops frames but it’s not very noticeable and plays well for me my settings are probably why most setting at medium and some things off like motion blur
I haven't been able to play online, but i though it was just a wifi problem, and i was going to get wired wifi hoping my problem would be fixed, ig not dang
this "console really did not age well. I remember when they were calling this the "Nintendo switch killer" but looking at this being unable to play modern games for the same price as a next gen console is pretty tough. And yes ps5s had gotten price cuts. I liked valv'es idea but PCs are just harder to optimize for gaming
To be honest, these handheld pcs are only really good if you're already a pc gamer with a library full of games. If you already own a console, just get a device that can stream your console. I got a used g cloud for 100 bucks, works perfectly fine, and streams every game I own perfectly fine.
I have a 512 LCD early access version of sparking zero I use 1024x640 top set to 12 GPU clock to 1300 my in game settings 85 Resolution anti aliasing high shadow low texture medium post process medium effect low lod low grass off motion blur off shake off and destruction low or medium and I hit 60 fps easy
@JokARTainment it's definitely possible in the games state not every games needs to be in 12x800 I always use a lower sobi can raise other in game settings. It works for almost all games I have I make sure to use fsr with 11x720 or 1024x640
@@JokARTainmentthis isn't true. deck players can only play with other deck players, they both have to match frame rates, & be on the same settings & region. if you do the engine.ini config fix, & both of you lock to 40. it'll work. i was able to get 50+ matches in for testing
@@tyedyedties That's a relief to know. I hope that future patches to the game allow us to set our own framerates so the config fix becomes unnecessary since not everybody will know how to do it.
I've been informed that's not the case, you CAN play online, but unless the person you're playing has the same framerate as you, the match will end, so it IS possible to play online on SD.

I currently don't have this game, but do you really can't play online if you don't have 60 fps ? why ?
This game was patched a few days ago and now plays much closer to 60 fps without all the slowdown.
Do you still need to do the Engine.ini fix?

Glad to hear that. It was one of my main concerns because I do like docking my deck on our tv so my bros and I can play couch multiplayer.

It got a patch the other day and now plays Sparking Zero at a nearly consistent 60. Relax
WHAT IS THAT DREAMCAST MENU SETUP YOU HAVE?
It's the menu sounds plugin I installed through Decky Loader. It lets you change most of the menu sounds the Deck makes.
The steamis a greay system however the battery power longevity sucks. I got rid of it, because i can only get about 1 hour and 40 minutes. $700 wasted

The 512 LCD is also the one I'm using. Good to know 60fps is possible.
