Dude, thanks million! You're a hero! Worked perfectly for my work laptop. Had struggling with it for a while and IT support wouldn't repair it, since it was older than several years, thus 0 in value. And thanks to you I managed to fix it and save me a lot of trouble. Thanks again!
You are a GENIUS! I just got a dell latitude e5420 from my school for free. It has a i5 2520m with 4GB of ddr3 ram (now, 8GB). Thank you for the helpfull video! +1 Subscriber!
i have the dell latitude e5530 with broken screen and used the screen from e5520 for it but the blacklight not working and when i return the broken screen to e5530 no blackligt too Even though it both working with another laptop whats happen is motherboard gone ?
I replaced my dented/scratched up display top lid on my Latitude E6520 and the laptop would turn on but, not turn on the display. So I re-installed the old display lid and the display would still not power on, even though the laptop would turn on so, perhaps I just need to make sure the connection is good as you have done here.
in this case, you have screen issue. In my case, my built in screen doesn't show display, I tried to connect an external monitor and it doesn't show display neither... It means, it is not screen issue... mobo issues, maybe? what do you recommend?
My screen was turned red, it use to flicker , but now it's always red. I have tried the solution but no change. Is it the screen or the GPU? external monitor on HDMI works fine
Miguel Garcia it was the cable snapped somewhere. just pushed it down a few cm from the vga plug and it fixed it. I placed some rubber to keep it pushed and it works fine so far.
A simple 8yr old video saved me some funds on replacing my e6530. Thanks a bunch
