I'm neutral on Coldplay but respect their songs. I wouldn't pay to see Coldplay but I would pull money out of my 401k to see BTS live at least once.🤣 I'm a BTS fan as of early 2020. 💜💜 The boys know how to emote in a song. There are lots of songs that I would give a 10. If you ask Army what are their top five top 10 favorite songs it's very hard there's so many good songs. From the lyrics, harmonies, production, and those with MVs... what talent. 💜🎶💜👏🏾👏🏾
I can't believe I'm saying this but I would also strongly consider hitting up my 401k to buy a ticket to a BTS concert. I've been to tons of concerts, but nothing like BTS.

Agree totally....My husband asked what I want for my 50th - I told him he's buying me tickets to the first BTS post pandemic concert... I don't care where in the world it is or how much it will cost - but I will be there cheering!! I've been ARMY since 2016 and have loved watching them grow into the amazing men they have become... I'm so proud to be ARMY, BTS restored my faith in the goodness of people.💜I can't wait to feel what the vibe will be like when they can finally perform for us again...the concert will go off Louder than Bombs!!
May I say thank you so much for putting up the pictures while BTS was singing text you. I sat here grinning from ear to ear seeing all the pictures it came up in the earlier days to current. Love your reaction and when BTS came out with this cover first time I heard the song.

@@TournamentPodcast I would also recommend watching BTS 2021 FESTA LIVE ROOM. They do a live medley of some of their best B-side songs as part FESTA which is yearly celebration on the week of their debut. This medley covers a lot of different genres is a short 10 minute video. It also gives you a great feel of their personalities as well.
Yay! Actually, I liked the Coldplay version also, but that was the only Coldplay song I ever liked. I loved this Fix You. BTS has a Tiny Home Concert, with subtitles, on NPR. No MV, just straight music. They do Dynamite, Save Me, Spring Day. It might be something you can dig into for reviewing. Since they don’t really do what I think of as heavy metal, but R&B, heavy pop, rap, hip hop, they just might not fit what you really like to review. However, there are plenty of people that know their catalogue far better than I. They do some incredible ballads, but I understand if that gets tiresome. Thanks for taking a look at them.
I think the voices are so beautiful and convey emotion so well, but it’s also the variation of voices and textures that makes the song more interesting and moving.

I’m not a Coldplay fan but I loved the song Fix You back when I first heard it. Naturally Chris Martin’s voice is different from BTS’ voices, but they (including Chris) all convey their own emotionality. BTS did a really good and respectful cover whilst also internalising the song and giving out their own emotional colour. At the core, whichever version is your preference, is a great song
If you didn’t know Coldplay and BTS have a song coming out soon called My Universe
It made me emotional looking at the photos while listening to them,, thinking how much they have grown from the ground to where they are now. Super hardworking and talented.

V's voice is soooooo perfect
I've known about CP for many many many years but had never heard any of their songs except by passing on TV while channel surfing. I only knew Chris Martin was married to Gwenyth Paltrow and they had a few kids. Did not know about this song until BTS covered it and it was my 1st time hearing it. Tears fell down my cheeks because of the emotion behind it. Turns out Chris Martin wrote this for his wife at the time (now divorced) Gwyneth Paltrow when her father was passing or had just passed away. He gifted her this song.
I have really enjoyed your BTS episodes, thank you for giving them a chance. I am 62 and I love BTS as individuals, like you said "they are good people". I also enjoy all of their music, there isn't a bad song in their discography. They are also very funny entertainers, their "BTS Run" series is always something I look forward to. They also have other special series like "In the Soop", "Break the Silence," "BTS Bon Voyage" and their old video logs which gave me a chance to actually watch them grow up, understand their relationships with each other, see their struggles, and share joy in their accomplishments. They deserve all the accolades and love they receive.
By the way if you didn't know Jungkook has around 40 covers (some with other members) in korean and english. They on soundcloud.
Great reaction. Thank you for being so open and gave the chance to listen and learn about BTS. My ex is 50 (Ozzy, Deaf Leppard, etc...) fan and never tried to listen or even ask me about BTS, he rather called me immature instead.

I love this cover but Jin’s voice here is just captivating.
Suggestion: If you use "Google Meet", the three of you wouldn't have to synchronize your start and pause. One of you would "create" a meeting and Invite the other two. Then the one who created the meeting would "Share" your screen (so everyone can see the same video), and then control the start and pause of the video. 💜💜💜

I‘m not a fan of Coldplay, but I appreciate the message of the song. Chris Martin wrote it for Gwyneth Paltrow to comfort her after her father died. BTS explained that they chose to perform “Fix You“ in English because the song provided them with some comfort during the covid pandemic and that they wanted to prepare this cover to comfort the people as well.
A few background informations: When the news came out, fans of Coldplay reported that Coldplay rarely let other music artists cover their songs to avoid that the message may be disrespected. They have even turned down offers from big TV shows and movies worth millions of dollars. So it is HUGE that they were supportive of BTS. On top of that Coldplay shared their approval online by posting links. They were so impressed, that they tweeted them “아름다운” in korean, which means beautiful, with the band members‘ initials: “Love c, g, w & j”. There will also be a collaboration with BTS on one of Coldplays song next month I think.
Edit: 12:11 There is no the “real“ voice or THE voice in BTS. Maybe you heard that from solo fans of one member 😅 Each member has his own group of fans that favors this vocal color the most or this specific vocal technique. Jungkook is the main vocalist of BTS for various reasons. He is in charge of most of their backing vocals and layers, guides, ad-libs, harmonies and is credited for almost all BTS songs for the “chorus“ in the official credits. (Maybe that is what you meant?) BTS members always call Jungkook the most talented. But all of the vocalists are loved for different reasons and contribute something to the group and are mad talented, same goes of course for the rappers.
15:09 Jungkook is the youngest. He is 23 (24 on the 1st september). He moved to Seoul when he was 13 years old and debuted with BTS when he was 15.
I'm 53. Ive been ARMY for about 6 years. I've seen them live in concert 3 times and they're easliy the best concerts I've ever attended. Their live vocals are possibly BETTER than the studio versions and the entire production is TOP NOTCH. They are on the performance level of Michael Jackson! 2.5-3 hours os all BTS, no opening act, just fliea by so fast! Get a ticket. You will not be disappointed!

I accidentally erased my first comment but I was trying to say that I'm new to this group as well and really appreciated your reaction. I came across Permission to Dance and checked out a few songs after that...it was way more intense than I can ever handle. I am not a fan of dance music, k-pop, rap, hip-hop, ballads, instrumental...I mean I didn't listen to any music for more than 20 years since college.. maybe a few gospel songs or classical music here and there, but it felt like this group jumped out of the screen and grabbed my heart. Each and every song evoked all kinds of emotions that I didn't even know I had...I highly recommend a live medly they performed at FESTA (2020 or 2021, I'm not sure but it was the latest FESTA...it's kind of like a BTS talent show they put out each year just for ARMYs). I remember they sang a few of the requested songs in the comment section here like UGH and PIED PIER, etc. Their talents... efforts, sincerity, and professionalism. and all the FUN they have on or off the camera... Everything is just off the chart. Insane. I just subscribed to your channel. I'll look forward to another reaction.
I'm a heavy metal fan too more like grunge and heavy metal. Metallica is my all time faves and Slash. If you react to BTS's "MA City" live, you'll be in for a surprise. If you're ready to rock and roll and listen to V's growl, MA City live is closer to your comfort zone.

Although you don't care for ballads, if you want another one showcasing the music line of BTS, please do House of Cards live. Another emotional one. You'll need closed captions for it. Also, I'm in my 60's and just found BTS about a month or so ago and I'm addicted to them - their message through lyrics, their singing and rapping talents, the dancing and dedication and long hours to learn the choreographies, and the amazing videos and live streams. The whole package is what drew me in. Thanks for the reactions.

Like a lot of others, I really appreciate the effort you’ve gone to with the photos covering the mtv video and the quick glimpses of the performance when the singer changes. This video always gets blocked so reactors usually blurr or blank it or scramble it which is super irritating. You’ve come up with a great alternative and I appreciate the effort it must have taken.
Also I’ve just found your channel and have binged all the BTS ranking videos. Can’t wait for the next series AND can’t wait to see your Mum. You guys are doing an awesome job. V is second youngest. Jungkook is the youngest at 23 BUT remember he started as a trainee when he was 13. He’s young but he is almost veteran in the industry after 10 years. Can’t wait to hear more from you guys.

This morning YT suggested a video of one of your BTS reaction videos. Since I am a new ARMY(April this year) and have nobody to share the "greatness" of this 7 absolutely amazing, talented and lovable young men, I watch a ton of reaction videos. But I prefer to see them in chronicle order and when I like the person/s reaction I watch them all. So, here I am, at the end of the day, nothing is being done in my house, and I'm going to watch the final episode before sleeping!!

The band is Ghost, they are BTS’s band and go on tours with them. The boys did awesome but If I had to pick the one vocalist that did best, for me it would be Jin with his Silver voice.the youngest is Jungkook, next is V, then Jimin, RM, J-Hope, Suga and Jin.

It may not sound live because how perfect the performance is, they always have a rehearsals whenever they have a performace because BTS is such a perfectionist when it comes to their craft. There is such a controversy with the live singing thing. I think, aside from people being miserable haters, it is ignorance about singing technique and how stage performances - for anything with simultaneous dancing - are produced. Don't you agree?
Hello backing vocals! People have always had backup singers on stage and no one blinks an eye. Well, BTS rarely use live backup. Usually it is their own voices to be true to how the song was produced. It is physically impossible to sing the song and do your own adlibs, doubling, and harmonies! So of course they use backing tracks! But they certainly don't lip sync the parts when they aren't singing. The choreography is designed so that the backing track fills in with something and smooths out the sound when they do a difficult move and need to pause for breath or flip, maybe.
Another thing I've noticed is people are ignorant of how native Korean speakers mouths move. Much of the work is done with the location of the tongue, not what shape the mouth is. I always think they must have awesome ventriloquists. The vocal line is also so we'll trained and practiced that they have learned how to let the mic do its job and sing relaxed and with minimum effort so as not to strain their vocal cords.

I haven't been reading many comments, but I hope people have told you that the vast majority of ARMY like to listen to people who have interesting perspectives, and long videos are fine. We all have the power to speed up videos, too. So, ignore the twits who shamed you about talking. It is your channel and they can move on to the type of reaction that is 5 min long, starts with the subscribe and like spiel, is silent during the song, and ends with "that was a banger", rinse and repeat.
As a 47 year old ARMY (2017), let me tell you these boys are definitely something special. It’s really hard for me to think of a song that I don’t like. There’s days that I just pull my BTS Essential playlist on Apple Music or This is BTS on Spotify and just listen to their whole discography. There is something for everyone in there.

It was interesting hearing your genuine comments/reactions on their music and I hope you'll be able to listen to more of their songs in the future because they have such a diverse discography. I also thought that you guys might want to listen on your own to a kpop female group called Dreamcatcher - they have a rock inspired sound.
I'm sorry we won't see you experience more BTS music, but I hope you will all continue to check out more of their music, maybe work your way back album by album, because I know you'll be glad you did. There are so many hidden gems that aren't so mainstream, and I don't think you realize yet their amazing versatility and range of genres. They were never not great. Anyway, you guys are fun. Please keep it up.
