I just got a 3600 with a loader on it. Makes maintenance a little tougher.. If you keep it outside, keep a bucket on the shift levers to help keep out rainwater, and a metal pai; of paint can on the exhaust as the flappers leak. I found a ROPS in a tractor boneyard. These were great tractors, but the older machines need a lot of TLC to bring them back. Many are kind of neglected.
Do a video to include the transmission and rear end drain plus are. Also, it's a BEAR trying to get a wrench on that overflow plug for the transmission! I wrestled with my 3600 forever before I finally figured out how to get a wrench on it and get that thing out. If you if you know an easier way to get that crazy thing out with those heavy metal tubes running over the top of it please include a video for that as well.
Good morning. I have a tractor like that: an old Ford 3600, which still works. It belonged to my late father-in-law. I really needed your help to review it. Because I need to change the engine and hydraulic oil, but I don't know what type of oil it takes and how many liters are needed for the engine and hydraulic/differential?! Can anyone help me? Thanks.
Foamy fluid can be a reaction not a cause. Change the fluid and refill to the proper level. Overfilling can cause foaming. Moving parts can stir the fluid up and aerate it.
Pull the square headed plug on the right side towards the rear as in the video. Remove the fill plug behind the seat. Fill until fluid comes out the first hole.

My ford 3600 ,47 hp,,you ?
My 3600 all of suddenly very slowly builds pressure and takes off slowly. My fluid is foamy. Is this most likely the cause?

Hi there I have a ford 3600 and the hydraulic lift ain’t going up and down? Could this be due to low hydraulic oil???
Either is possible. Easiest thing to do is check your fluid level.
Or could something be wrong with the hydraulic pump?

@@homestead_dreamers thanks for the response, and also what hydraulic oil should I use, correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t it 10w-30?
