brazil is/was considering as a stopgap as the gripens E/F finished deliveries (which is going to.... take a while) because of it's light attack/close air capabilities, as much of the air forces airframes are pretty close to their limit (we ALMOST lost a pilot in a F-5EM accident last year, he still refused to eject and total the airframe so he landed the plane in terrible conditions for him - pretty much nothing working). i think its a great plane for simple missions (we use the Super Tucano for LA/interception, but sometimes the F-5s and AMXs need to be used, and they are in.... dangerous conditions). gripens are still being tested,/developed and could be used in a pinch, but it's not ideal, especially for simpler missions. imho it's better than the other option they were considering (used f-16s. great plane, but changind old planes for old planes makes no sense rn for me, it would last for such a short amount of time) also, relations between brazil and italy in the defense industry are booming rn
The only trainer I've flown in was a DHC Chipmunk. 😂 It was definitely fun!! My all time favorite jet trainer is the BAe Hawk, then the T-38, and finally the T-7 Redhawk.
It would be fun to do this again but with a slightly less broke nation, like Mexico. You could Use F5s, Super Tucanos(as a stand in for the T6C (there are also rumors of the Airforce wanting more potent turboprop attackers) some T33s and whatever you hypothesize is the next Mexican Jet( considering the socialist government it would probably be J10s)
Cap, could you do a Pearl Harbor reenactment where the US Carriers were caught in harbor and the follow-up strikes were not in the historically accurate locations but the west coast of the US.
@@Max_Brain I've looked into those - and I also had a VR. The VR was amazing but too impractical when I still need to see the keyboard, etc. Just wasn't sure. Can't afford VR right now so one of the tracking units would probably be the best. But then, there are so many to choose from..

Those trainer aircraft look incredibly fun. It would be cool to see a comparison between them and some military attack jets, like the A-4 or Su-25.
