    When I was a kid I had a Big Black male Chinchilla X.
    That bunny had my Australian terrier terrorised.
    He would go for the dogs "gentleman's parts " whenever he felt he needed to assert his authority.
    cheers Eric

      Gday Eric, they are definitely fun to have, this one can be as stubborn as anything, he’s got a real attitude,

    Hi Matty, thanks for making these videos and sharing your experiences. I live in a second storey flat, and only have a bench with a vice and some hand tools. The neighbours freak out when I weld in the outside communal area because they think the concrete and bricks will catch fire, I need to move! Thanx again mate :)

    looks good Matty, and looks like it should hold up quite well. You were talking about making another one, why not cut 3 tool slots rather than 4, then the tool locations will be 60 degrees apart rather than 45, which will give you the material you need between the tool bit holder pips, and you can use it at different angles without needing to make a bigger tool holder piece.

      Gday Chirpy, I think it will hold ok, good idea to do the next one in 60° increments, I’m going to probably use 3/8 tooling next time as well.

    Great job, I liked using recycled material for the shank. They use good stuff for the hay spears

    There is no such thing as a cheap square broach !!! I use the armstrong broach system for square holes ( vertical quill slotting ) , it's a pain in the ass but it's cheap !

    Will you be welding the arm to the body of the tool, or silver solder, brass braze?

    • @MattysWorkshop
      @MattysWorkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gday Ron, towards the end of the video you can see I welded it with the Tig,

      @@MattysWorkshop Thanks Matty, I jumped the gun on that, Do you think a silver solder joint would be strong enough?

    • @MattysWorkshop
      @MattysWorkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really don’t know there, there is a lot of force behind the shaper ram so a lot of tool pressure, I went with Tig mainly because I only have Mig, Stick or Tig and I wanted as less heat as possible so the “ring” wouldn’t shrink as much and Tig gave me the smallest weld, less cleaning up

    Matty, you mentioned in another video that you replaced the 3 phase motor on your Douglas shaper with a single phase motor, could you share the details as thinking of doing the same on mine. Also, where in Qld are you? Really enjoying your posts. Do you have a merch. shop?

      Gday, with the motor on the shaper, I brought a 1.5hp single phase off a ebay store from Melbourne, I didn’t use the original electrical panel on the shaper, I just put a lead direct to the motor and use the power point as the on/off switch, my shaper has a clutch which is a great thing, I live on the far south coast of NSW, town called Eden, sadly I don’t have a mercy store but I do hav3 channel stickers, Cheers

    Gday Matty , what’s on the low loader and did it make it over the bridge ?

    • @MattysWorkshop
      @MattysWorkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gday Brian, the machine on the float is called a forwarder, used in the logging industry, I used to go through this road as a short cut, you only got 1 go at this bridge, it was tight but I did fit “just”, the operator of the machine had not long got it new so he wanted some good photos of it, I have a few more good photos I’m thinking of putting on the end of future videos, just something different, thanks for watching, Matty
