  • This is an adaptation of William Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily" that was made for our English 439 class. It is based on the story but was updated to a more recent time period so as to make the setting easier to reproduce.

it means that Emily , used the "rat joint " to kill the guy that she wanted to marry after find out he is not into the "marry stuff" . everybody thought she was going to kill herself instated but she kill the guy and sleep next to him for 40 years , that why her house was stink , and they never seen the guy again for year just Emily from the window, in the ending there is"HAIR" of Emily next to the body in the pillow next to the body. so that confirmed everything i just said. HOPE IT HELPED.

Thanks to everyone who's commented! It's been a couple of years since I posted this video, and I haven't really checked up on it. In response to multiple questions about the music, it was almost entirely composed by my brother Mark Rostad except for the small bit from Chopin during the brief montage in the middle. Being original, there is no available sheet music or anything for it. He'll be glad to know it was appreciated though! Thanks again!

Love this! My 10th grade teacher gave us an assignment on this story and this helped me with the questions sheet. Love this so much. The creativity is amazing!!!

Im reading this for my Eng102 class and wow this was almost perfect. IT made the text far more easier to understand as I had a hard time analyzing the foreshadow of Homer's death. Bravo!

This was very well made. Thank you to all who helped make this short film. The acting was great. Even better then some paid actors lol.

Actually, the "smell" was Homer's body, not her father's.

I have this one in my Lit class 1302. I prefer these to the actual text. I have read along and it is almost verbatim. .If you have to do one on Poe and the "Cask of Amontillado"

the house stank because her father died upstairs in the bed, but she refused to believe it for 2 weeks. (denial is part of the grieving process) Sick woman though.

I loved this performance of this amazing short story, I was wondering if you had a copy of the script that I could have to share with my students who are currently reading this story.
