A brickfilm stop motion adaptation of Flannery O'Connor's classic short story, about one famliy's road trip through the Georgia countryside and the chance encounter that changes their lives forever.
Wow! You guys are way too underrated!!! This brickfilm is so true to Flannery O' Conner's story, and you guys display such masterful skill with stop-motion
This is a very perfectly done video! I love how accurate the voice-acting is! But a detail that is pretty crucial to the understanding is that when the grandmother says "Oh!" at 10:09 , it's because she realizes that the house she mentioned was actually at East Tennessee and not on the road to Florida. If she hadn't mentioned the house, then they likely would not have met the Misfit.
I'm blown away! what a neat adaptation. This was so well made, from the effort with the voices to the great care in creating the scenery and attempting to get the settings just right. O'Conner had a sort of wicked humor underneath her stories and I think that the use of LEGO actually captures that pretty well. Bravo!
I just read this story in class and was sooo intrigued by it. I was googling it and found this 😂 this is honestly amazing. Really impressive and so smooth for stop motion lego!!
I am in absolute love with dope-ass depiction! The levity of Lego blocks juxtaposed with this brilliant and dark story blows my mind!!! I'm using this in my AP Literature class for the rest of my days!
Just got into Lit and my first assignment was a short story analysis… from read O’Conner’s piece to watching this masterpiece you really brought her tragic short to life
This is great. Only thing I'd say is that the side characters could be better dialoged or voice acted, and some tense music would've upped the ante in the last scenes. However, I know how much time and effort it took you to make this, and I truly commend you all for that. Amazing film, greatly underrated/underviewed.

I was dreading doing the reading for my lit class... and then I found this gem. I need more of these.
Thanks, Megan! But you should definitely read the story. It's very entertaining : )
Ya same too

Thank you so much for this! Better than any live action adaptation could hope to be. My 9th-grade class loved it!
