I needed something on my new B2601 so I ordered the Artillian Work Lights part number 1RMLK Should have them tomorrow. They look super nice. :). Keep up the great videos.

Thank you Neil. The roof access tip on the LX2610 Cab was very timely and worth the price of admission.
Excellent DIY tip. Thank you so much !!! 👍 😎

If you are adding lights to riding mowers please check the amperage output of the engine because you can prematurely wear out the engines stator if you try to run too many lights on it.

Before adding any additional electrical loads I chose to install an alternator to replace the dynamo on my B7800. Pricey but worth it.

Same on my B2601. New US models come with an alternator, rest of world still a dynamo. The alternator kit wasn't expensive, nor overly hard to install.

Great video as usual. I added rear LED work lights to our L6060 grand cab using the top signal light brackets. There’s already the power harness for them there. Then i added a waterproof connector by The 3pt and added LED work lights to the boom and the stick of the BH92 backhoe. It never fails that I end up having to dig unexpected at night.

Just wish there were more light options with a built in switch in the housing tractors used to have them

Added front (spot/flood) and rear (flood) LED lights to the ROPS of my LX2610 and you are correct Neal, it was a fun project, although it took me a bit longer than one afternoon to finish! BTW, I've been told conflicting things about the LX 2610...some say alternator, some say dynamo....can you give the definitive answer?

Never thought about just popping the roof off

  • @randalltolman2368
    @randalltolman2368 ปีที่แล้ว

Grand l and mx cabs, just pop the top off. Way easier to get at the wires that are taped in, that biue tape Kubota uses doesn't rip or pull apart like our black tape does. Wish we could buy that tape.

1st thing I did with my new Massey 2850M cab was pull off the regular work lights and install LED ones. I bought some inexpensive ones from Amazon and had to build custom mounting brackets out of Aluminum flat bar to get them to mount the same way. Massey had bullet connectors already on the work lights, so adding the connectors to the new LED's was easy and very convenient to connect. My first time using Aluminum for a project and they came out well. Much brighter than the OEM lights that were on it, and a whole lot cheaper than the OEM LED's.

To drop the headliner in the LE you have to remove the roof bolts, and all the HVAC stuff is above it. The cap weighs about 20 pounds tops, so easier to just pop the top, slide it back a bit to access the wiring, and you have to raise it to put the bolts in the front brackets anyway.
What would be great is if Messicks could stock the male plug kits for the lights, a crimp on kit with two male spades and the matching plug would sell a lot! I just put LED lights on mine and since I could not find the plugs, I replaced the ones on the tractor with Duestch connectors. A little larger and light gray in color but 100% waterproof.

Thanks for making this video showing the locations. Is there a chance the kubota m59 doesn't have this plug or harness because it already has some lights on the front and rear from factory? If anyone has found the 12v plug on an m59 I'd love to hear where you found it.

Maybe if tractors came with lights for seeing over front loader, rear and sides we wouldn’t have to go through so much trying to fix tractor so we can work at night

Mike, on my BX2380, there were three bullet connectors teed off the wiring harness in the back. Ground, +12V, and 12V switched with the running lights. If you stand at the back of the tractor, look to the left of the top 3pt mounting pin.

I was just thinking about how to upgrade my work lights on my B2650 with Cab. OEM is adequate for just working but are not bright enough for cutting grass at night. Anyone know bulb number to replace halogen bulb with LED for front and rear work lights on B2650 cab? Owners manual only says 35w bulb. I already swapped all my headlights hazard and marker lights with LED. If i can swap out whats there for cab work lights it would be easier than adding new lights. I know the LX2610 vesrion comes with LED light assembly that i could buy and swap out to upgrade but that would be the more expensive way to go i am guessing since that would be a kubota part number. I already have 4 really good LED lights i kept off my old tractor but i would like to use them for other stuff. I might add one or two on my backhoe boom.

I have a B2650 with Cab and it has an alternator because of Defroster on rear window and fans for heating and air conditioning. Think only ROPS has dyno
