I know this video is a year old, but I'd like to add something from personal experience:
If a character accidentally misses your table (which does happen sometimes), calmly and politely let either your server, or a character attendant know and they'll help make sure the character gets to you when they can
As an adult it’s hard not to participate in the character interactions. I was 39 and marched in the Friendship parade with Pooh and the Crew! I also gifted each character a pair of custom made Minnie ears. Maybe that’s why I was Tigger’s partner in the parade!😊😊
I love this channel so much. So inclusive of everyone! Whether that adults with young children, older kiddos, teens or no children at all. Even solo travellers.

My wife sets her alarm and wakes up at like 4am on the day that is 60 days out from our trip. Finally got a reservation for cinderellas castle for our upcoming trip. Last year we did the snow white dinner at wilderness lodge and that one was really magical.
When our boys were younger they really enjoyed Crystal Palace
We usually try to get Early reservations at Tusker House so we can get in to Animal Kingdom early
Breakfast at Toppolinos is a really cool experience and as a father I thought the breakfast steak was one of the best things I ate at disney
We did 1900 Park Fare breakfast in 2020 right before everything shut down and we really enjoyed meeting Alice and Mary Poppins. The cast members who were there that day were really friendly and Alice even drew some pictures with my sons.

We did the Pooh one with my 18 and 13 year olds and it was a blast. The characters were amazing and tears were shed
Back in November of 2016, I was at Chef Mickey's, I got a really long hug from Minnie Mouse. That was so special as part of my 25th birthday trip

1900 Park Faire will always hold a soft place in my heart. Back when my family went to Disney World in 2005 it was technically a trip celebrating my oldest brother graduating from High School. But our trip overlapped my birthday, so my mom made reservations for 1900 Park Faire. I loved it so much! I even got a little happy birthday crown that I still have. I do hope it reopens soon.
When I went to WDW for the first time (2013), apparently Donald and Daisy were genuinely playing with me and my grandfather respectively. Not to mention that Baloo tried to use the autograph book as TP. I won’t forget that

My favorite charecter interation was at ohana breakfast when lilo saw my Remy plush and was absolutely disgusted 😂
We've been to Cape May twice and both times got to see the characters several times. The wait staff was extra friendly and helpful too!

We got to do Be Our Guest in late 2019 when you could actually meet with the Beast. It was a great experience but now don’t feel the need to eat there again.
They should change out Vampirina for Bluey!!!!!

Food wise I gotta say Akershus was pretty good. Character interaction I gotta go with Hollywood and Vine (lunch). The Mickey in Hollywood and vine was the best Mickey I ever experienced. It’s hard to put into words but they were amazing.

So excited, got my ticket for an Hollywood Studios after hour event for June yesterday. Countdown to summer vacation! Disney is a side excursion to the main trip but still planning to use many of your tips (including paying for that after hours event!) to make it a magical day!
My son was downright offended at the Simba waffles at Tusker House and refused to have any, as if they were mere pretenders trying to mix in with the OG Mickey Waffles 😅😅😅
oh my goodness, Tusker House is my favorite!! I love seeing Donald (Donald #1!), Daisy (be sure to ask her if she designed her outfit!), Mickey (be careful to not ask about when he and Minnie are going to make it official!!), and (my personal most favorite pal) Goofy in their safari outfits. My last visit, I was foturnate to know who Goofy was hanging out with…so Goofy’s friend convinced him to hang out with me a bit during their backstage break (sat right down at the table with me…if you see this happen, the character and the guest have a friend in common who let the character know the guest was coming)!!! Tusker House was my favorite before this…for always!

I want to go to all of them!!! (Almost) I love character meals. They help you skip the forever long lines at Princess Hall, etc. But I just wish they would bring back characters to the Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria al Forno!!!! Please!!! Best character meal EVER!
I had reservations there for our trip that was canceled due to the Covid shut downs. 😭

garden grill absolutely deserves all the hype it gets. the food is absolutely KILLER. that salad was....the best thing i ate on my trip. and it was a salad.

I wasn’t a fan of the crystal springs food but the Winnie the Pooh characters there were adorable. I also loved the chipmunks at garden grille and the food there is delicious
We had the best time at a late dinner at Tusker House. Even got a group photo with ALL of the characters that were there.

Garden Grill has the best food and so much time with characters. Don’t have to worry about being at buffet when they come around. We like CRT for princesses better than Akershus but wow, the breakfast prices are through the roof now!

Thank you SO MUCH. Me personally I love the face characters more then the costume characters so usually the fab 5 are out in my book. Face characters you can actually talk too and get a response. Sad that 1900 parkway and the one of the Boardwalk haven't return yet. I was out there when the parks shut down. So I was one of the last to do 1900 parkway. Then when the parks shut down, still had everything else open for one more day. I was so looking forward to seeing and meeting Ariel, Erick, Flynn and Repunzel but they changed it and we got Goofy, Chip and Dale. I understand why but still it was sad. So I was at that place last character meal. Literally, last hour for the character dinning. Hopefully it will open up and can try it again.

We did Cinderella's Royal Table during our trip to Magic Kingdom in 2013 - I dressed as Ariel, sister #1 was Rapunzel, sister #3 was Belle.
At Garden Grill, you can look into the bedroom window of the house you see on Living With The Land. (Spoiler: Nobody's there...)

When my parents first got married 30 or so years ago my parents went to Disney world for their honeymoon and my mom was always a die hard fan of goofy but when they went he wasn’t doing any character dining and it was too hot for him to stay out and do meet and greets for too long so they went through all the parks without her being able to meet him so while my mom was at the bathroom my dad saw goofy and his care taker going back stage and he ran up to them and explained the whole story and goofy agreed to meet my mom as soon as she got out of the bathroom and she was blown away with how gracious the big goof was meeting her on one of the last days of their honeymoon and now I want me and my now wife to have a similar moment when we go to Disney world in a year or two
That was confusing.. a cc was required for me at every reservation and at CRT we had to pay up front. Are you just talking about cancelation timing (2hrs. vs 24hrs.) to get a refund on the payment we already made? Or are we going to be expected to pay more? 🧐

We were at Hollywood and Vine last week and Minnie came to us. Mickey went to the table right beside us. I asked Minnie if I could take a picture with both her and Mickey together and she wagged her finger no. Are they not allowed to take pictures together with guests?

Question. I recently saw Goofy in a tux, not 50th anniversary, but white tie, full on evening dress. (Not in this video, that I noticed but I thought y’all might still know the answer.). Where is this? I have a feeling it’s something super special but I am still curious. TIA
What is the reason they have not reopened park fare or have the characters at trattorio? Luckily we did the park fare dinner in our last trip in 2019 before the pandemic but my daughter is dying to meet Rapunzel and Eugene 🥺

I know this video is a year old when everyone needed park reservations; but we now have date based tickets in May, will o be required to have park reservations to book dining?
Nope park reservations are no longer need for date based tickets!

I’m pretty sure that is Topolino’s Terrace breakfast. The Sour Cream waffle and then the plate of Wood-fired Butchers Steak.

We were super disappointed in 4 seasons when we went in Jan 2022. 3 years before it was amazing but we felt it was blah and super expensive.
Just a few more tips to add:
Parents should wipe off their children (wipe your child's mouth, wash hands, wipe noses) prior to meeting the characters. Even though Cinderella isn't doing her laundry, someone else is.
Never force a crying child to meet a character
When going to sit at the table for a character meal, the people in your group who are most anxious to meet the character should sit on the outside.
Remember that characters can only sign Disney merch.
Just wondering how character dining works for solo travellers
You get your own table. I’ve done two as a solo traveller and I found the characters spent lots of time with me.

EVERYONE is overpriced ..... No interaction with a character is worth the kind of $$ they charge .. The food is never Superb... barely above average
