Cables is out now! I really hope everyone is enjoying the record. The exponential growth of technology is a key theme in this album and I was inspired by the documentary 'Transcendent Man' when making it, so wanted to ask, what's your favourite documentary?

I have been listening to the new record all morning. I absolutely love it! My favorite documentary would probably be The King of Kong. I kind of want to watch Transcendent Man now though.

Also love the new album Bill, especially this song! See you in Tivoli soon! Recently I watched episode 2 of Explained (documentary series on Netflix) about the water crisis. But on a lighter subject, the Foo Fighters documentary Back&Forth or the ones on your Flint&Swift albums are also nice.

Into Eternity is a brilliant documentary exploring the issues around extreme long-term nuclear waste storage. How to communicate with humans thousands of years into the future, to warn them not to enter a dangerous place, is a fascinating question.

love the album, thank you. one of my favourite documentary is "Dark Days" - from wiki:"It follows a group of people living in an abandoned section of the New York City Subway system". non judgmental with good honest intentions, what is almost as interesting as the documentary it self is the "extras" where there is documentary about the director and how he got to film such film, very moving. all the best.

This whole album takes me to some hyper-distant future full of chrome and starships, and yet the vibe throughout stays vintage. Incredible music Bill, I'm so glad I discovered you!

The futuristic feel of this is exhilarating.
I remember listening to this song multiple times for days and weeks because I was ADDICTED to these parts: 1:23 and 3:23 - I don't know the proper technical term to this part of the music, maybe chorus? climax? I don't know. But they are literally breathtaking.
It is a feeling of bliss, but at the same time, artificiality. This puzzled me to no end, as I previously thought that I could only feel these feelings with songs that had something clearly 'organic' on them. But these parts absolutely do not feel organic to me, dude. They are metallic. Cold, artificial, like dry, sterile, freezing air from an ar conditioner. And yet they are magnificent.
A paradise without a single tree. Unsettling. Beautiful.
It reminds me of the bizarre feeling I felt when I watched the ending of A.I Artificial Intelligence, when David asks the fairy to have the last day with his mom. The gut-wrenching emotion I felt watching the simple story of a boy that just wanted to be loved and that, after a long time, finally gets what he'd always wanted - with the exception that he is a robot, and the fairy is actually an alien, and the long time was actually thousands of years, and they warped time and space to make that wish true. And that everything is artificial and painfully finite. Not saying that your music is sad, but it reminds me of that awkward feeling of feeling a lot for things that are so artificial and non-human. It's so beautiful and so strange at the same time.
Get it? Whatever. I feel like I have rambled enough lol
Maybe I don't listen to enough music, but I haven't been able to find this specific feeling in any other song.

Perhaps that's done on purpose. It feels like the low-quality imagery fits very well with the ambient aesthetics of this music.
