snugglebear97653 What about FORQ or Bob Lanzetti?!?!?!? most of the guys in snarky puppy have solo projects with....well other people from snarky puppy, just search ll of them and you'll have an endless amount of amazing music for the best playlist ever created.
There's the potential for a whole album based on just this kind of music. Right there. Absolutely magical. And yes, as usual I've just played this track 5 times back to back.
Just when you think a musician can't come up with a new color for music, Bill Laurance comes along and proves the rainbow is endless. Mesmerizing in rhythm, harmony, melody, and endless joy to listen to each instrument one by one to better appreciate the whole.
Possibly my favourite piece of music by Bill Laurance. There’s a simple melodic feeling and yet a rich and complex density to the whole which is hard to describe. Stunning music played by consummate musicians. Astounding!
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
I love Bill Lawrence’s playing. It is soulful, emotional, full of “feel” and “feeling” . . . Not flashy like Henry . . . This is a beautiful piece. Thank you.
It's Sunday. It's raining here in Ireland, chilly and damp after the worst winter since I've lived here but this music lifts me to the sunshine, above the clouds and into the ether. Genius, delicious and warmed to my soul. Thank you 💕
Bill is extremely talented and an excellent keyboardist, but the synergy of Michael on bass and Robert on drums is absolutely far away from other jazz musucians....!!!!! Excellent piece....
Solange Segrétin And there you go, I'm 56 soon and this track just wrecks me. Great band to have fans across such a spread of ages. (and I suspect there's a whole lot older and younger fans than us out there)
I have played this to death nearly every day , a great texture of sounds and vocies ,so unique and real organic music and you can see the musicians are really enjoying it
Woooooooowwww man...You literally take a journey through the world on this song...its so beautiful....only people who have lived and had heart felt moments and seen the world can create music like this man.
This track is sooooo smooth. The string section is **locked in** beautifully!!! Integral but understated.. And muting the piano chords by opening the top and draping it with moving blankets was genius!!! Hearing this song online is what made me go out and get the full CD..
It's the kind of musical genius that you admire more than anything. It then becomes the musical genius that you envy more than anything. His work is so fantastic!
Absolutely great tune and so wonderfully played. Indeed very PMG/ Lyle Mays like from 3:45 onwards. RIP dear Lyle. Bill is superb piano player, solo as well as with Snarky Puppy! Thanks for this jewel!
The thing that differs these guys from other musicians (except for the fact that they are more skilled than most of them) is the strong passion for music! You can see it in them. Whether they play a simple note or a fast lick they enjoy every second of the feel and sound, it's heartwarming and makes you feel the passion too. Love Bill laurences' and his bands work!
The undiluted absolute joy on their faces absolutely adds to this piece of magic.....m.its stunning open heartland....no borders everyone gathers to join in total harmony Perhaps a blueprint for us all
The out going piano solo felt like riding some lush wave of semi-sweet feelings into deeper and deeper emotional waters...beautifully done Bill. Overall very interesting composition and one I obviously really love.
LOVE when TH-cam puts suggestions in a mix with what you like. I hit this in one of my mixes due to Snarky Puppy. I can't be more grateful for finding this gem. Also clueless about the voice synth. I saw a vid of a person who scams scammers. HIS voice was audio'd as a female voice-just speaking. Blew me away not realizing you could synth your voice with chord progressions. Raving fan here.
vous serez et resterez les meilleurs a mes yeux , vous avez changé ma musique ! Merci infiniment ! Vous êtes un rêve pour moi ! Merci encore Messieurs !!
Oh yes, so many times that spot hits when I'm driving, beautiful sunset around the rolling foothills of my home in NC. Brings tears to my eyes. Transcendental.
Great so great, so smooth...... so smooth, it just flows.... Love that ... Again great combination of the synths sounds, vocoder and analog instruments... All of the them great players. In fact the best part must be the unselfishness of the players and the unity of the group, the team, Bravo !
+Oshapi Awudu bill is a part of snarky puppy which is a jazz fusion band or really just fusion.bill plays lots of contemprary stuff, for example check out there new album sylvia and the song "the curtain" its a really good album
i have been so obsessed with the vocoder in this for so long and still idk how it's done. this doesn't sound like any vocoder i've heard done before. the consonants are so clear and the effect is so textured, human and feminine. i feel like there must be such a specific finely tuned setup there - my only guess is - mic for consonants with very high threshold hp filter + 2-3 part harmony on controller + maybe the vocoder is running (at least in part) a neutral sample of vocalization by the woman who does the ubahn station announcements vo... im amazed
This is awesome, and hope it doesn't take anything away to say it makes me think of the best of the Pat Metheny Group, and Bill being a Lyle Mays from another parallel universe here... Fantastic music. Can't get enough of this and Red Sand...
It was with some trepidation that I loaded 'Swift' DVD by Bill Laurance, Michael League and 'Sput' Searight in my player last night. I ruminated that ' Flint' was a too an hard act to follow...but I had no cause to doubt the sheer brilliance of these three virtuosi. Orchestral majesty, soaring soundscapes, intricate textures, drum patterns and piano nuances. U-Bahn being the fitting sequel to ' Swag Times' ( Flint) for me in what can only be described as .......A Clazz Act !!
What an extraordinary musical composition Bill...!!!! Simply inspirational and lovely...!!!! And of course having Michael's sublime bass and Robert's drums joining on this new album is undoubtedly the best selection you have made...... Also the young musicians on strings are really good...!!!! Oh man, your solo on acoustic piano is absolutely out of this planet..... Congratulations...!!!!!
Whoa I've listened many times and I just noticed another level of epic. Michael foreshadows the single note pedal of Bill's solo in his bass line right before. It pedals the same note, and then changes when Bill comes in. So dope yo
This isn't a song, it's a journey. Lovely.
exactly... everything about it.
I will never be able to hear enough Bill Laurance / Snarky Puppy
snugglebear97653 What about FORQ or Bob Lanzetti?!?!?!? most of the guys in snarky puppy have solo projects with....well other people from snarky puppy, just search ll of them and you'll have an endless amount of amazing music for the best playlist ever created.
Lorenzo Rizzardi the man's got a point!
+Lorenzo Rizzardi I'm sorry but what is FORQ?
***** a group look them up
+Lorenzo Rizzardi don't be forgetting Shaun Martin and Cory Henry's solo stuff!
3:42 when Sput plays that roll into the crash😭😭👏one of the best song transitions ever
Yeah he was locked in at that point
My god
Oh yeah... Good one...
piano outro makes me cry with joy
Seven minutes of pure heaven...
Best Bill Laurence track yet! That piano solo at the end is amazing.
BRUH IT IS!
One of the most sophisticated, scintillating and superb pieces of jazz ever!
Steeped in the feel-good factor.
Seriously great.
Possibly my favourite piece of music by Bill Laurance. There’s a simple melodic feeling and yet a rich and complex density to the whole which is hard to describe. Stunning music played by consummate musicians. Astounding!
Number 2 on the itunes Jazz charts!

I'm 51yrs old and have had quite a few all time favourites in my time, but I think this really is it ! It ticks all the boxes and so many more....
In tears, what excellence! Music, soul food!
It's Sunday. It's raining here in Ireland, chilly and damp after the worst winter since I've lived here but this music lifts me to the sunshine, above the clouds and into the ether. Genius, delicious and warmed to my soul. Thank you 💕
So much of a PMG vibe to this, especially what Laurance was playing with Lyle Mays esq. piano.
The bass is what makes it for me
Bill is extremely talented and an excellent keyboardist, but the synergy of Michael on bass and Robert on drums is absolutely far away from other jazz musucians....!!!!! Excellent piece....
Yes, that is one fat, smooth, tight bass track.....The whole thing just kills really.....
Absolutely it's deep and groovy
It certainly is a great line. The smoothness of the Hofner just fits so well!!! I learnt this one many years ago, so much fun to play!!
Just came back from school, checked my phone and now I'm listening to this amazing piece of art. Speechless (as usual!).
Solange Segrétin And there you go, I'm 56 soon and this track just wrecks me. Great band to have fans across such a spread of ages. (and I suspect there's a whole lot older and younger fans than us out there)
Hahah same as me
Holy Jesus. This album is shaping up to be amazing.
Lovely piece of music 🎶 unique and original organic ) independent musicians make the best music 🎶
I have played this to death nearly every day , a great texture of sounds and vocies ,so unique and real organic music and you can see the musicians are really enjoying it
This track might be one of the most awesome things I have ever heard!
Woooooooowwww man...You literally take a journey through the world on this song...its so beautiful....only people who have lived and had heart felt moments and seen the world can create music like this man.
I haven't fallen in love with this piece yet, but I can see many, many people that have. I think my time will come, folks.
Are you in love with this piece yet?
So much epicness in one song!!!
This track is sooooo smooth. The string section is **locked in** beautifully!!! Integral but understated..
And muting the piano chords by opening the top and draping it with moving blankets was genius!!!
Hearing this song online is what made me go out and get the full CD..
The use of space in this piece is so powerful. The solo at the outro .. gorgeous
Didn’t expect to see Achilles from Canadian brass here! That’s a nice surprise
Rediscovered. Can't believe. I missed this so much
How is it that this took 6 years to show up in my feed. This is next-level cool.
Ohhh My!!! Very sensual, alluring and yet hopeful. Thank you Mr. Laurance. Again, another terrific work of art!
Fabulous scoring for cello too
we are somehow afforded the honor to witness the evolution of music itself w these guys
Gotta love roberts playing. And this use of brass and strings is absolutely amazing
It always feels like a fresh glass of juice listening to Bill Laurance or Snarky Puppy. They make me happy
Played a dozen times this week the piano outro with the laid over synth humming through
One of those "just close your eyes and enjoy...." type tracks.
Yes, I thought of Lyle right away ❤❤❤
I love this theme. The piano solo is the beauty I've ever heard. Thanks for this theme, I don't know why but it takes me back to my childhood
it's been 5 years since i first heard this song, but that solo in the end still brings me back here every month. thank you bill.
Sublime work.
That Piano phrase around 5:08, that's what it's all about...the entire piece holding those few bars....
Bill and Co's work is welcome in my head
I loved this when it originally came out and I still do. Rather splendid, Bill and gang. Warmest thanks.🙏☀️🇬🇧🙏
The thing that differs these guys from other musicians (except for the fact that they are more skilled than most of them) is the strong passion for music! You can see it in them. Whether they play a simple note or a fast lick they enjoy every second of the feel and sound, it's heartwarming and makes you feel the passion too. Love Bill laurences' and his bands work!
heard this rehearsed with a much larger orchestra in the RNCM. I will never forget it.
At 4:52 Sput in the zone like.... "This is my happy place".
Sput was locked in from that point!!
The undiluted absolute joy on their faces absolutely adds to this piece of magic.....m.its stunning open heartland....no borders everyone gathers to join in total harmony
Perhaps a blueprint for us all
I could listen to this all day and night
So so beautiful
I get goosebumps every time that piano solo hits...
They are all insane! incredible! pure pleasure while listening to this
Absolutely superb Bill!
The out going piano solo felt like riding some lush wave of semi-sweet feelings into deeper and deeper emotional waters...beautifully done Bill. Overall very interesting composition and one I obviously really love.

Beautiful and as somebody else wrote. A musical journey

Absolutely..... It is incredible how a really good song, suddenly becomes sublime...!!!!!! Great job guys...!!!!!
...yes in deed, no doubt.. gotta love how he builds up, then just mellows out...
Yeah I was all the way done from that point on. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh yes, so many times that spot hits when I'm driving, beautiful sunset around the rolling foothills of my home in NC. Brings tears to my eyes. Transcendental.
I absolutely adore this, thanks Bill
Can't wait till this drops! A must have for my collection.

Amazing fusion music
This is awesome, and hope it doesn't take anything away to say it makes me think of the best of the Pat Metheny Group, and Bill being a Lyle Mays from another parallel universe here... Fantastic music. Can't get enough of this and Red Sand...
Michael is the definition of vibing in this video
It was with some trepidation that I loaded 'Swift' DVD by Bill Laurance, Michael League and 'Sput' Searight in my player last night. I ruminated that ' Flint' was a too an hard act to follow...but I had no cause to doubt the sheer brilliance of these three virtuosi. Wish this song was one endless loop.
Stunning.
Made my day waking up to this song !!!
Incredible album.
I couldn't help but notice that Sput's video is off at 4:30, the tom pitches don't match up.
The ending....god......heavenly.

What an extraordinary musical composition Bill...!!!! Simply inspirational and lovely...!!!! Also the young musicians on strings are really good...!!!! Oh man, your solo on acoustic piano is absolutely out of this planet..... Congratulations...!!!!!
Se balader au bord de l'océan dans le plus profond du crépuscule et mourir dans les étoiles, sentir son âme et l'univers qui nous entoure
Whoa I've listened many times and I just noticed another level of epic. Michael foreshadows the single note pedal of Bill's solo in his bass line right before. It pedals the same note, and then changes when Bill comes in. So dope yo
It hits hard yet subtle str8 to the gut
