      Was wondering if you could do a slow motion from different angles? I have been having a few issues with finding my dominant hand and keeping my timing while transitioning?

    Hi Rushi! So, as you sad at the end, with being a big fan of yours I'm a very little part of your motivation, well, you and your videos are a huge slice of mine! Thanks for this tutorial, I've begun using the side swing pretty much as a transition since I watched your first tutorial about it a couple months ago.
    I can't wait to watch a double under side swing one, that would be a great addition for my workouts!
    Keep on going beast!

    Learning this currently. I have done this move for years but incorrectly, which is by swinging to my non dominant side first. I am now doing it by swining to my dominant side first and trying to implement dominant hand on top. Its been difficult because the co-ordination is not there and it does not feel natural but I am gonna stick with it and practice.

    I just bought the Money Rope on Amazon because the thin wire rope that had kept bending plus the extra wire above the clamps were getting in the way when I was doing the side-swings. Hopefully, I won't have that problem with your rope. Keep up the awesome videos. My love for jump roping is stronger than ever, and I'm excited to learn new tricks.

    Another fantastic tutorial Rushie, I've kept up my 30 min HIIT workout at least 4 days a week for months now and feel great, I use the resistance bands once a week too, only me jumping in the gym normally although I can feel eyes on me whilst guys are at the water machine, over the last few weeks I've had people approaching me asking me all about skipping, cardio, all saying basically how easy I make it look(which made me smile)blah blah, anyways I recommended the money rope and this channel and this morning there was 4 of us jumping. I told them to ditch the dreadmill and come fly with us!

  • @afonsoosorio2099
    @afonsoosorio2099 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Rush, that is a great tutorial. Thank you a lot for that.
    If the dominant hand is the left one, you do left side first (1) keeping your left hand on the top as bring the rope from the right side (2) and you skip under the feets (3).
    So far so good.
    Now I would like to alternate, starting to do the sides from the right side first (1) and bring the rope to the left side (2) before I bounce (3).
    What would be the mechanics of the hands given that the dominant one is the left hand.

    Dude That was DOPE ! 😎👍🏼 I just started to jump again myself. Don’t get me wrong I never had tricks just basic, but many years ago it help me with building stamina to run miles. So now that I’m a bit older my knees aren’t the greatest but jumping rope is not a problem for me and I thoroughly enjoy it. So now I’m at the point where I REALLY want to try to master the techniques even though it’s kind of frustrating to trip up anyway your videos are AWESOME! Thank you 😊

    Great vid, bruh! Until I watched it, I struggled mightily with side swings (which I've never understood as I can do high speed crosses with my eyes closed). Your two keys that really hit home are quiet shoulders (to which I'd add quiet hips) and swinging to your dominant side first. One other thought: beginners might find it easier to start with the basic bounce rather than boxer shuffle.

    • @DannyJsPlace
      @DannyJsPlace 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      egg on toast is bomb Skipping on hard surfaces usually damages a rope quicker. It is more beneficial if you skip on smooth surfaces such as gym flooring. If you ever skip outside it is advised you bring a mat with you.

    • @peterpeterson125
      @peterpeterson125 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry mate, I have to comment this one. i skip almost daily (bout 20-30 min) and i never managed to break any of my ropes, in fact i am still using the one i bought few years ago and even the recent one from rushie, still does not show any signs of damage..i think there must be def something "wrong" with your surface, 'cause these cables are fairly stable..

    I have been doing jump rope for a while but I do side swings in a different way .I keep my right hand above the left while doing side swing to left and transition it to left hand above right while doing side swing on right side .Is it cool ? Also can I perform side wings crossovers smoothly with side swings I perform @Rush Athletiv Tv

    My biggest problem with doing side swings is my feet don’t know what to do when it happens, I’ll have a nice bounce when skipping normally but once I do side swipes my rhythm and bounces change

    Great stuff, I'm doing things I never imagined, question. I have purchased 7 ropes ,noticing they wear out quickly, pvc gets very thin. And I'm jumping on astro turf..

      +MATTY ICE hey buddy! Great to hear the progress! Astro turf? Not sure this surface will be ideal mate. If it’s creates friction for the rope as it clips.. it could be an issue ☹️ have you got access to softer flooring ie matting etc..you’ll extend the life of the ropes on gym type flooring for sure🙌🏽

    Hi I tend to stop jumping for a second while doing a side swing during boxer step and just stand on the ground till the side swing is complete. And then I jump again. Any tips?

    I have so much trouble with side swings- my rope just seems to want to tangle- I can do them but not consistently- my rope eventually tangles- I have now ordered a money rope which I’m sure will help. I’ve checked my current rope and it’s definately thinner and worn out towards the middle and that may be affecting it. Any thoughts?
