I totally understand the ad thing. You try to watch a stream on Twitch and you get hit with 5 30-60 seconds ad before you can even watch a second of that stream.
Idk ain’t many cons for TH-cam they don’t change much and give lots of freedom to their streamers, plus you have a library of videos that will always be there. And on twitch you gotta go through all the bad streams like hot tub streams and just plain bad gamers, plus they make (moist as an example) a lot of their streams sign contracts to be exclusive showing they value money over their users. Only main problem with TH-cam is there aren’t a ton of streamers so less content. I hope more follow in his footsteps.

I have been subscribed to Charlie on Twitch for years. I am definitely not well off financially and I canceled all my subscriptions besides the Charlie sub. Reason being, I watch every stream and I cannot stand him being interrupted by ads. So him caring about people who are not financially well is so special to me. Thanks Charlie! I'm excited to see the future of your streams!
In case you dont know, For TH-cam there is TH-cam Premium where you can watch any video ad free and Twitch has Twitch Prime for the same reason. Much better value for anyone money conscious but only thing you dont get is the channel exclusive emotes.

In this unrealistic model, the human beings who occupy much of Twitch´s current blogosphere would be slowly phased out - first by bots, and then by actual robots. This was believed in a time when I knew less about the developments taking place at Boston Dynamics.

GOOD ON TWITCH! I mean, i get twitch not signing / re-signing contracts. The Big 3 year V is over. People are back at work, back to watching VODs on TH-cam. Not able to sit there and watch streams 24/7 like we used to. I myself do this, and honestly only watch YT streams because i can pause and come back not missing a beat. I can see twitch and YT both not doing this anymore. Which also causes them to treat all content creators equally. Honestly not that bad. I have been subscribed to Charlie on Twitch for years. I am definitely not well off financially and I canceled all my subscriptions besides the Charlie sub. Reason being, I watch every stream and I cannot stand him being interrupted by ads. So him caring about people who are not financially well is so special to me. Thanks Charlie! I'm excited to see the future of your streams!
In case you dont know, For TH-cam there is TH-cam Premium where you can watch any video ad free and Twitch has Twitch Prime for the same reason.
Much better value for anyone money conscious but only thing you dont get is the channel exclusive emotes.

As someone who watches all of your videos but never uses twitch because I dont like the platform and find it cumbersome and unwelcoming, this makes your streams accessible to me finally, and Im sure there are many others in the same boat as myself. I remember when downloading MP3's took so long that the cutting edge feature of "listen while you download" NEVER WORKED, because downloading a 3 minute song took 8-10 minutes lol. Streaming music wasn't even possible unless you had a god awful expensive cable modem, which was rare in the 90s.

I used to think that one day Twitch would be completely replaced by robots but then those Boston Dynamics robots came who managed to find out how to survive beyond Twitch. In this unrealistic model, the human beings who occupy much of Twitch´s current blogosphere would be slowly phased out - first by bots, and then by actual robots. This was believed in a time when I knew less about the developments taking place at Boston Dynamics.

I mean, i get twitch not signing / re-signing contracts. The Big 3 year V is over. People are back at work, back to watching VODs on TH-cam. Not able to sit there and watch streams 24/7 like we used to. I myself do this, and honestly only watch YT streams because i can pause and come back not missing a beat. I can see twitch and YT both not doing this anymore. Which also causes them to treat all content creators equally. Honestly not that bad.
Kick on the other hand is trying to grow, they are trying to bring people in and they are going to do the same thing Twitch and YT did. But again, the big V is over, I doubt that Kick will ever become self sufficient like YT and Twitch are attempting to be. They will possibly have to keep using their funds from gambling.

As a bartender (outside the USA) I also hope we get paid a living wage and don’t have to depend on tips.
The abuse of higher ups because of demand to not pay the workers who make them money goes so deep in so many industries.
As a bartender in the USA I get payed 2.13 hourly, but make roughly 45 $ hourly from tips. I'm fine with them not paying me, I make my more than enough from tips and am grateful for my business letting me use their product and facilities for my own gain. Be grateful if they have to pay hourly they'll just replace us with robots.
