Ive never seen food on clearance before coming to my college town with 2 krogers; I usually shop at ethnic markets where food is always cheaper and fresher because of the high turnover rate(which means no clearance). It never occurred to me to shop clearance items before watching your channel. Im on such a tight budget and vegan too, and I have to get adequate nutrients to keep my immune system at 100% because of how often I work (ugh Covid); this has been the best way to achieve all my goals and I can't thank you enough for this channel and ibotta recommendation
I've wondered what this was about? Our local grocery story has like a Spanish aisle and the tortillas are only $1! Where as the mission tortillas located elsewhere in the store are 4 times that amount!

And I guess a Hispanic person wouldn't buy the mission brand if they could get something more authentic(and they know the value of a tortilla so you can't increase the price without them stopping buying it)

Oooh i loove the ocedar mop!!! A tip you may not know about. Put a tsp of powdered tide in the bucket then fill halfway with hot water. It cleans your floors great and your house smells like tide.WIN WIN! this was a great haul. Youve got me looking for clearance food all the time!

From someone (me) that has an inch long scar on my wrist from putting a bag of garbage in the can just before pickup when I was a child, please, please, please make sure all broken glass and food can lids are secured in something protective, like a cereal box, empty Mayo jar, or something stronger than just paper towels. On a different note, I love watching what sort of deals you get.
I work for a Fred Meyer, and the policy set for making down, is one week before the expiration date, for like deli items (cheese, potato sales, hummus) I believe bakery items are the day before. Grocery items are a week before as well. Not sure for produce. Managers are supposed to have their markdowns done by 9 am. That’s not always possible. Sometimes they just try to get it done before they’re off for the day. Again, doesn’t always happen.

Volleyball in the South is the only sport that has a food table! Tournament organizers set aside space for it, and the food list is elaborate 😂. My daughter is on her third year of school volleyball, and I’ve seen generators with extension cords powering Crockpots of rotel dip and meatballs, sliders, fruit trays, catered trays from Chic Fil A, vegetable trays, sausage balls, and every chip and dessert imaginable! They still have concession stands as well!

If you’re ever feeling adventurous you can make a video on learning to make naan! I make mine on my cast iron skillet and wet the dough before putting it on to stick, cook 30 seconds, flip skillet over toward flame and cook top for 30 seconds. Then when they’re all cooked I place them back in the skillet with gee and fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) for taste! You can also do garlic or cilantro. Sooooooooo good!!! Store bought naan cannot compare!
I love that mop and bucket! I use them at home and also have a set to clean my ambulance at the volly FD!! Winco is one of my favorite stores along with Fred Meyer. Wish we had them here! Great deals!!! I used to do huge hauls when my oldest 8 (of 9) kids were still home. ❤
CHRISTINE you HAVE to see the clearance stickers at No Frills here in Ontario, Canada. They are super bright neon pink! I can see them from down the aisle! I hunt those stickers like a hawk, especially since at our store there isn't really a clearance "section" for the most part, especially within the freezers and refrigerated items and within the organic section. I got a box of Annies White Cheddar Bunnies for 50% off!

I have the Walmart brand Mop , love it . I use WBT on my floors they have never looked so good or been so clean . WBT = 1 gallon Hot water, 1 tsp Powdered Tide ( has to be this ) and 1/3 c bleach . Wash you will be amazed at what comes off your floors , I rinse after .
A strange and fun thing about "Swedish fish"... that is not a "big thing" in Sweden, it´s just a candy among others. Btw, we have candystores with packagefree candy everywhere, manyof them in every town, in every supermarket aso... You start in one row, grab a paperbag and a showel :D and then you work your way through the lines... Sometimes it´s a couple of hundreds of different candy go choose from and the papperbags can get really big. Imagine how it smells in those shops, fresh candy, chocolatem licorice aso... Licorice is not at all the same thing here as in the US. In scandinavia we have sweet licorice that can only taste in a surtain way and salty and our licorice is always black/blackish.
When I lived in Eureka, CA I shopped pretty much exclusively at WinCo. BEST BULK BINS EVER!!!! Now I live in rural Minnesota and shop at Aldi most of the time. Watching the produce prices go by in your video my Aldi has WinCo beat by a long shot and canned goods, etc. We buy 90% of our meat at meat markets (who knew they were such a thing in the Midwest?). I absolutely love the way you shop. I have been shopping the same way for the past 30+ years. I have been using the stir fry kits to make homemade soup using rice noodles and whatever protein I have on hand. If nothing else frozen shrimp. I found chicken thighs on sale at Winco for a quarter a pound, about a month ago. They were the large packages, with about ten pieces in them. I bought twenty packs, and each one was just over a buck! They also mark their meat down on clearance.
I can't remember if you have mentioned Flash Foods, but I think you'd like it if they do it in your area. Over here we have large grocery stores that do boxes of clearance produce for 5 or 6 bucks.

We go to an Asian supermarket once a month, non wheat noodles are so much cheaper than regular grocery stores.

When I was 17, I worked at round table pizza. We used a pizza rocker knife to cut and it made cutting a pizza so incredibly fast and easy.
