I agree. My family was poor and I was embarrassed by used clothes because my classmates made fun of me with their Abercrombie & Fitch and Nike clothes. But now that I'm adult, that's all I shop. I cannot even imagine paying 20 or $30 a shirt, that's just stupid
The kitchenaid mixer attachment reminds me of grad school and walking driving past a thrift store and seeing a kitchenaid mixer in the window. I made me husband pull over immediately and went inside and was ready to buy it if it was 50 bucks. It's was 19.99 and I will never forget that day haha. It's been 10 years and I still use it to this day. Thrifting is the best
I love seeing kids that love hanging out with their parents, gives me hope for my son... he's two months. Too soon? He only just stopped looking at me like just a food source.
My 1.5 year old is obsessed with hanging out with me or my husband. Still loves to hang out in the carrier or snuggle up on the couch to eat snacks and watch some Sesame Street. But I still get looked at like I’m a food source all the time anyways.
Me and my mama spent every day together, we’d make up stuff to do just to hang out! “I’m gonna get a smoothie, do you want to go with me?” Then we’d spend the day shopping together 😭
As someone who had a great relationship with their mother, and lost her as a new adult, it's really wonderful and heart-warming to see you and Hailey be such close friends as mother-daughter. It's a really special relationship.
Same situation here, sometimes it’s bittersweet to see what you can’t have anymore, but I’m glad she’s spending all the time she can get with her. I told my cousin “Take pictures. Take videos. Spend time with them, you’ll regret every second you didn’t”

I LOVE thrifting too! Books and kitchenware are also my downfall when I go haha. Hailey is the cutest and loved the super creative outfit changes! Good taste!
I tried the Kirkland, going back to tide. There's just something about the tide with liquid downy softener, I just love the smell. I also tried the unstoppable scent boosters of all brands, and in the end liquid downy again was the winner scent wise. I should just stick with what I like. I also tried generic bounce dryer sheets, and again went back to bounce. I think we like what we like Laundry wise, and that's hard to change up and enjoy it.
I love thrift stores. My favorite thing to purchase is unique stationary. Writing letters every month to my grandkids and looking for unique items is one of my favorite things to do

Hailey is the most darling! So grounded, modest and mature. If I'd had a daughter I would've wanted her to be just like her. I had a son who was very low maintenance THANK GOD! He was a joy to shop for. Never embarrassed to shop at thrift shops. By the way, a pocket could easily be sewn onto the INSIDE of that cute jacket. Have a great school year kids!
My jaw hit the floor when you said the KitchenAid attachment was $5. That's just amazing! The boots Hailey got look very similar to a pair of boots my daughter has, she's had them for a while and they are one of her favorite shoes.

My daughter is 15 and LOVES thrift stores. She went into sticker shock when we bought her a pair of jeans at Old Navy that was $53. (she couldn't find jeans that felt right) I want to say that 95% of her wardrobe is thrifted. We treat it like a treasure hunt. This back to school shopping season's best score was a pair of BRAND NEW, NEVER WORN red Van's, for $13. They were $65 on Amazon. She also got a "Pink" hoodie for $6 verses $55 on line. I think that she is still mad she couldn't find jeans that felt right at the thrift stores. (she has sensory issues, so it is hard to find jeans that don't bother her stomach) Hailey's part of your video was awesome, she made my day.
I think my favorite thing about Christine’s channel is that, while she is a homemaking channel, she doesn’t use her kids as cash cows like some family channels do. Hailey, obviously, chose to be included, and was excited to do so, meanwhile, her boys only appear if they want to, and Christine doesn’t force them. It shows exactly how much Christine respects her children’s autonomy, something SO many parents on TH-cam don’t.
I found a baby crock pot at a junk store & I payed $3, just what I needed. I've been a widow since 2011 all my kids are grown with their own kids now. My husband actually has those Hurley shorts. The “Nike dry fit” is just that type of material that Nike trademarked or whatever. They were with the swimming trunks at Nordstrom when we bought them. So if he wanted to say wear them to the beach, swim in them and then go out to dinner later without changing he could. 😆
That dough whisk is amazing and works really well if you don't have a mixer to make bread products. I take mine with me when we travel so I can make homemade cinnamon rolls or pizza dough, works like a charm. Saves me from traveling with my Kitchenaid mixer, yes I will travel with mine, lol.

Love Hailey's fashion show. I grew up with thrift store clothes and loved it. One of our thrift stores had a "Penny bin" full of baby clothes. I got my kids through the first couple years of their lives with penny clothes. That bin has gone up to twenty five cents now.
