We’ve all had imposter syndrome at one time or another because we’ve always seen someone else in a senior role but then it came time for us to be entrusted with that responsibility. And typically, we come through with flying colors because we do know what we’re doing and the powers-to-be were right, we were ready. Siobhan, you’re an awesome doctor who is thorough and caring for your patients and your team which is going to make you a phenomenal leader.
You are...amazing. I spend so much time in the hospital and in all the years of being sick ive never felt like i had a doctor like you. You're going to change the world!
wow that's a huge complement, especially from someone who has spent time in the hospital - thank you Marianne (and i hope you aren't spending as much time in hospital anymore!)
No medical background here. Just a grma who LOVES your videos. What a rewarding life. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. All the best in your new shift.
I just had a first seizure a few days ago and I’m scared, emotional, confused and I just wanted to let you know your videos help calm me. Thanks for devoting your life to what you do.
When I was admitted a few years ago I was there for a few nights and I loved the nights because i didn’t hear as many people (I was in the children’s area so there were a lot of noisy kids)
I remember when I was a volunteer at a local hospital and even the lowly volunteers were appreciated by the doctors and nurses because we did a wonderful job and were a respected by doing a service for the community and the hospital as a whole. Loved volunteering at the hospital because of the family vibe of the hospital and no two days were ever the same. Loved it and miss it.

Hi, Siobhan! I think your junior residents and medical students are blessed to have you, and I'm sure they admire you so much! I love how you said that the night gave you a chance to learn and grow -- that truly is what it's all about! Some possible topics: 1) Now that you're a 2nd year resident, how are things different from what you thought they'd be like, say, during first or second year of medical school; 2) I'd love to hear another case study/medical mystery -- those are fun and you present them well! 3) Perhaps you mentioned this already, but I'd like to know what happens if you, as the SMR, need help. How do those communications work, and how often do you have to call for help. As always, I love your videos! You're a gift to the world!

literally obsessed with your videos! found you a few days ago and have been on a binge ever since. it's wonderful to see the progress from your old videos to now!
I have little to no medical knowledge/experience, but I stumbled upon your channel and I’m hooked! It’s so interesting from your perspective and you seem so passionate about your work that your enthusiasm radiates through these videos! So much respect to anyone in the medical field or in nursing/med school 🙌
My dream is to become a trauma doctor and you documenting your life makes me more confident with my decisions for my future. I really want this and you have such good energy for a doctor. You’re an inspiration to me. Thank you 😁💖
You are amazing! I love your vlogs, I can satisfy my wanting-to-be-a-doctor yearnings vicariously through you! Thank you! God bless, love from the North of England 😀
During your residency you basically have more responsibility each year as you learn more things hands on. I believe senior residence are completing their final year of residency and teach the new med students while still having a full doctor as a boss themselves.
You are so fun to watch. It is so fun to see how much you love your work and how much you want to get the patients to get better and the way you get so excited if someone is diagnosed with someone not as serious. I mean obviously, but it’s just really fun to watch 😊.
You’ve made me realize that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to start nursing school within 2-3 years. About to look into getting my CNA this winter break! Please pray for me & thank you for adding more inspiration to my life.
Love your videos, I knew you were going to do a great job even when you had first doubts lol..would love to see a 'shop with me' grocery video or tips on how you eat healthy with a busy lifestyle
Just hearing you say some of these issues people experiencing gives me anxiety! You talk so level headed and you keep your cool extremely well! Love your videos!
You inspire me everyday Siobhan! I sincerely mean that. Whenever I feel unmotivated to study I think of your videos and how I can imagine a life for myself similar to yours.
I just turned 15 and i live in the netherlands. Because of your vlogs im a 100% sure that i want to become a doctor in the USA!!! Thank you so much, i love your videos!!!!!

I'm a new subscriber and gotta say best decision ever! 💘💘
Much love from a fan,
-Keirra 😁
how do you manage to keep your hair looking so good throughout the night!!?
i had the same question.
Do you not need to wear it up for infection control??
Only in a sterile environment.
Is amazing how you work as a team, I think a lot of hospitals outside Canada need to know the way you work.
literally obsessed with your videos! found you a few days ago and have been on a binge ever since. it's wonderful to see the progress from your old videos to now!
I have little to no medical knowledge/experience, but I stumbled upon your channel and I’m hooked! It’s so interesting from your perspective and you seem so passionate about your work that your enthusiasm radiates through these videos! So much respect to anyone in the medical field or in nursing/med school 🙌
Lol how can you be so happy, that's awesome !
I adore watching your new vlogs around midnight every Saturday ... just before falling asleep 😴
can you explain the difference between senior medical resident and what you were last year?
During your residency you basically have more responsibility each year as you learn more things hands on. I believe senior residence are completing their final year of residency and teach the new med students while still having a full doctor as a boss themselves.
I think she said that residency can be 2-5 years, if so, I guess that residents in year 2-5 are called senior.
You are so fun to watch. It is so fun to see how much you love your work and how much you want to get the patients to get better and the way you get so excited if someone is diagnosed with someone not as serious. I mean obviously, but it’s just really fun to watch 😊.
Hey siobhan, can you tell us about the differences between night float system and regular call shifts and how they work? thanks
You’ve made me realize that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to start nursing school within 2-3 years. About to look into getting my CNA this winter break! Please pray for me & thank you for adding more inspiration to my life.
