I would've never thought as a young teenager in the late '70s when I was starting to appreciate The Doors that I'd be able to pick up a guitar lesson online from Robbie Krieger himself. This is awesome.

I Thought it was more of a slide on the record. That’s how I play it. A7 I’ll try it this way but I play & sing this at the same time so I might stick with what I know over exactly how he plays it. I almost never play anything note for note. How boring is that!!!

incredible that a man as you, lives for teach a lesson of your composition on guitar... you are great robby krieger. you are a legend, in my opinion, the doors are better than beatles, rolling and others, making magic only with 3 instruments and 1 voice . this music to be history for generations, to talk of yours at my sons .

Yes, saw the Doors in Santa Barbara CA opening for the Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead..,in support of their first album "The Doors" 1967...,the music was so remarkably different than the San Francisco sound - I think everybody there was just blown away by the energy and the "tightness" of their sound. With just two players, Ray and Robby doing all the harmony and lead work it was like a rocket launch in the Santa Susanna hills...,you could hear every detail...,there wasn't any place to hide..,it all had to be detailed and perfect - and loud. It was. Thanks, Robby.....,

I absolutely love The Doors. I am 36 years old and never thought I would learn one of of my many favorite Doors songs from Robby! This is absolutely fantastic! Funny thing is, my parents and nobody else in my family listens to The Doors. I stumbled across them as a younger man and fell in love! Their music is 100% amazing as all hell! ❤ Thank you for this lesson Robby.
Thanks, Robbie. The Doors was the first tape I got for my 4-track in my '62 Chevy in high school (1967/68). I already had the LP. My friend and I learned to play all of the songs on that album. I learned the the guitar parts by ear and he liked the way it sounded. He could read music so he bought The Doors album music book which had very little guitar music except for chords and sometimes the beginning of the songs but it had the whole organ part for Light My Fire. I played the guitar part on my Silvertone electric and he played the organ part on his guitar. We thought we were great. Thank you for showing us the right way and still being around..
One of my most favourite guitarists ever. Bought a Doors Guitar tab way back in the day and it gave me such an extra appreciation of his talents. Love, love, love his playing.

Ikr I've always thought he's the hardest guitarist to imitate, he plays so many weird chords, Flamenco and Blues with a hint of jazz sometimes, just an amazing guitarist! My 2nd favorite guitarist!

If I had to pick just one band as my all time biggest musical influence, it would be The Doors.
I think a lot of bands think that but few say it.
at 19 I underwent eye surgery. The first thing I saw with my new seeing eyes was Oliver Stone's film. since then The Doors are my main band. You have supported me with your art all my life. I am glad that there is an opportunity now to personally thank !! thanks Robbie !!

What an absolute fuckin legend. Been listening to this mans riffs my whole life. You’re the man, Robbie!
I’m 27 years old and absolutely fell in love with “The Doors,” a couple years back. Honestly, couldn’t stand the band growing up (I didn’t appreciate 60s and 70s rock like I do today/ mainly listened to hair bands of the 80s). This band kicks ASS! Jim Morrison is hands down one of, if not the best front man in rock history, period. Add in some absolutely spectacular drums, guitar, and one of/ if not the best keyboardists of all time in Ray Manzarek, and these guys instantly slid into my top 3 artists of all time. Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd being the other two.
