Such a wonderful daddy! Pretend-nibbling on those little fingers and toes is so sweet. He is a gentle silverback for sure. Sometimes he would look perturbed and almost roll his eyes as if to say, “Geez Lueeze! Go visit your mom already!” 😂❤
That baby has known nothing other than security and love. Love his smiles & giggles. Hes got a wonderful patient father there to help teach him. Adorable xxx❤❤

It's crazy watching a gorilla and noticing mannerisms and movements that us humans do on a daily basis. The one specifically where the papa gorilla lifts his hand up and scratches his cheek with one finger is something that we do too.
I just think about how Gorillas are so strong. And how much more gentle they have to be for these babies then we would. It makes me realize just how gentle they are being with their babies.
Gorillas are comparably the most gentle great apes for their size and are proactive in protecting what's theirs (unlike orangutans) with minimal homocidal tendencies (unlike chimps).

Gorillas deserve so much more than the world offers them.

Agreed, humanity takes so much from nature - more than is actually needed - and gives so little back in return.
@@markcusack6335in taking their natural habitat and putting them in a zoo, they at least have safety instead of a hideous death by poachers. And the home provided for them is as natural and as enriching as it can be made, so much better than the concrete prisons they were in when I was a child.
@@jandrews6254 I do understand the necessity of such actions to preserve the species, however, the fact such drastic measures have to be taken in the first instance is a sickening indictment of humanity. These animals deserve greater protection in the wild; poaching of all endangered species’ should be a capital offence.
D'Jeeco is, perhaps, the most patient, calm, and easy-going silverback with his offspring I've seen. I know there are other silverbacks that play with their offspring but D'Jeeco seems in a category by himself! It's obvious that his sons love him and enjoy being with him. Yet, when he is a different mood, he rolls them gently away and goes about his routine.
He is impressive with childcare!!
He is also brave, the way he held his ground even when the 2 little ones had him outnumbered

6:04 - 6:20 .. 1. Had me laughing so hard when the baby grabbed his daddy's hair on his head and hoisted himself up 😂 and 2. Really took me back in the similarities between how a Dad would play with his baby or toddler.. ultimately ending with him grabbing and holding his child in a playful manner as they struggle to get away.. the expressions of joy and love on their faces are undeniable and unmistakable.. ❤❤

D‘Jeeco is a jewel of a daddy! He has gradually become increasingly welcoming and tolerant of Jabali‘s high energy and needs for cuddling-so much so that he’s come to enjoy the play himself now for long stretches. And grown into the best, kindest, softest Pop in the gorilla world. I wish I was a little furry kid in D‘Jeeco‘s big fluffy arms!

This Father is extremely tolerant. The youngster is very tenacious! Most Silverback Dads can't compare to D'Jeeco; he is in a class all by himself! Very cute video.

I love that momma is taking a break in the cave, laying down and just watching them play outside, she keeps her eye on dad to make sure he doesn't get rough, and controls everything around her, she even smiles while laying down enjoying her family playing

I loved watching the little gorilla playing with his daddy, it looked like the gorilla dad was tickling the baby and made him laugh and then the more I saw the baby gorillas teeth showed me how much he really was enjoying himself and having fun with his daddy!! I do believe gorillas and other animal primates laugh just like humans do.
