The new camera I assume they used and DSLR (Probably a Full-frame)+Log Profile+Colour Correct w/ DaVinci LUTs+ DaVinci Colour Grading (Probably Teal and Orange colour grading). All of these are my assumptions.

It s hard to beat a Porsche on a standing still start. Those cars have an incredible grip. Got one myself and always impressed to make consistently 3.6-3.7s on a no to 62 with "only" 400 HP.

My friends always ask why I only have manual drive cars.... well this shows it pretty well. That BMW is a different animal when a person is in control of the gear box. Plus, if you do drive 10/10ths or anywhere near it, you don't want an unknown gear shift upsetting your cars balance. If you have ever had a 2nd gear slide starting and traction control kick in, its a moment for sure. If you own a fast car, turn off traction control as a startup procedure, nothing worse than a backseat driver who actually can control the cars systems. Plus, a great theft deterrent, met a 42 year old yesterday who had never driven a stick. Love it.

The funny thing is the xDrive M4 launches perfectly and hooks up immediately doing 0-60 in under 3 seconds. The S58 engine is no joke, even though the RWD cars launch in 2nd gear it still struggles for traction.

Carwow has a video of the xDrive m3 with a stage 1 tune up against a 911 turbo s (which is obviously far faster than the GT3 in a straight line) and you’ll be shocked at how fast it is.
Can’t compare engines . Porsche have a race engine in that car and the bmw still has the same as mass production car. Both awesome cars with their own characters

The rest is developed for the M4 GT3 racecar and homologated into the M3/M4 street car. It is a race engine just like the Porsche.

The key launching the M4 CSL is to set the traction control right. You can set it from 1 to 10 and it looked like it was set to 10. that’s why the start was crap I think
GT3 wins in most of cases. It beats even more powerful cars. What Porsche have managed to achieve is power delivery to the wheels, no bhp are getting wasted. And their cars' setup is amazing. With such a combination and their gearboxes, it is not unusual they always get such low times.
Looking forward to seeing the review of the m4 csl! Hope to see a proper brake test with the specialist timing gear. On paper those ceramics should have done a better job.
