i went for option 2, and i think you should buy a scania/volvo/whatever you want to drive in the series and just show us random deliveries all around the EU, with occasional quick jobs with different trucks, with you reviewing them.
I voted for option 2. You can always tie the series together by making yourself challenges for every video (like driving off the highways more often, not re-fueling or using your non-dominant hand only for the steering wheel/gear stick)
I also voted for option two, and I still maintain seeing the structure that I saw on your older ETS2 videos. Random truck, random trailer, random destination.
hey paul long time man i was one of your long subcribers i been here since 15k im glad you are having success with 400k now i am proud of u paul keep it up !!!.!
Do you know if I could replicate this free movement with a controller joystick? I'm building a PC so I'm trying to figure out what I need for controls here, I have some old PS3 controllers that still work well so I was hoping to use those and save some money.
Option 2: American truck diaries goes Europe, imagine your U.S. company goes international it has capital, it can buy a truck or 2 and start the european dream solid, and haul special stuff on normal roads or normal stuff on special roads. :) Keep on truckin' !
I would like option 3/4, 3 being the random videos with random trucks and random cargo but the 4 being add more weird and wonderful truck mods, try find trucks you have never driven, i've even seen people drive buses! no idea how that works with delivering jobs but yeah thats my choice.
I subscribed to your channel because of American Truck Sim series. I enjoyed this content so much; you did fantastic job to keep me entertained. I think Euro Truck Sim will be great for your channel especially I started to watch ATS series kind of late like 20 episodes behind. I'm not feel like to every single episodes just to got up for this series. :)
Hi Paul, I voted for option 2, and I think that it would be best if the series was held together by the cites you drive from (example; If you do a job from Amsterdam to Calais, the next job would start in Calais.)However, while watching your stream involving the floating Kamaz, you mention a "10 minute truck customization series" while setting up your second truck. I think that some sort of periodic mini-series with mods based on that idea would be great. Thanks for all of the incredible quality videos and streams!
Trucking Diaries EU - New Career Mode is what i'd like to see. Thanks for considering our opinion before making videos Paul. really appreciate it. Keep the truckin videos coming! :)
option one, start in UK like last time, but this time keep the RHD, will make it a challenge when you cross into Europe. keep the vids coming Paul they are always a highlight of my week
There is one toll road in ATS that I know of and it's to go over the bridge into San Francisco, only that one you can go through the gate or keep far right and bypass the gate but you still pay.
Hey Paul, you mentioned a tip about the map on how you added a couple of stops towards the end of the video, that's the main reason I watch your video's. I hope you keep giving tips on how things work and what mods would be a good add on. I know a lot of your viewers already know things you mention but a lot of your viewers like me don't so please keep coming with the tips.
Hey Paul,,, option 3 is my choice,,,, If it turns out to be option 2,,, Set up a truck and use that for all those video's, just like a true owner operator. Like set up a truck like for doing just oversize, or just pulling box trailers,, or just flats,, don't mix up loads that don't go with that type truck.
I think a Tour Europe with Squirrel series starting at one corner of the EU and working your way around and or to the other side of Europe in the same lorry series would be great. It would be like an epic drives series so to speak, you could do one country every episode or two, taking the more scenic and spectacular routes too and maybe take a short delivery in each country in a lorry from a local manufacturer when possible.
Option 1 for sure. That's what I’d go for. As I commented in the last episode, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your ATS series and how you've gone about it. I honestly can't get enough of it! I'd settle for Option 2, but I don’t think I’d enjoy it as much. I don't think it could be structured... I've only seen the first few of your TMCN videos, so it would be unfair to comment on that, yet!
I voted for option 2. Maybe you could do an explorer style series. Explore the map, find the small quirky bits - traffic incidents, planes, helicopters, roadwork, landmarks.
EU series - Voted for option 3. Would suggest using any new trucks/trailers that may have come available between videos etc. Maybe some throwback videos to past adventures (Boab tree etc. would be cool, maybe with a W900 LOL). At the end of the day all videos will be good for me, living in Perth Australia makes it impossible to watch your streams eg SNT live and interact in that way. TMCN is a great way to ask questions/interact for people like myself. Keep up the great work. Regards Octron.
I voted for option 2 because you already seem to have a good variety of content going and I figure a series all over the EU would work better than a career. I would do something a bit like Sunday Night Trucking, where you change trucks here and there and mainly do interesting runs like either oversized trucks or tricky roads, I wouldn't mind seeing you use different maps for that, but my point being that the trips should have something that is out of the ordinary driving one would mostly do in game as I'm sure most of us play the game.
I say have one truck (for you it would be a Scania) that you mainly use but occasionally swap it out for a modded truck (like a Sisu or a Volvo or something) and then just haul a whole lot of random trailers to random places. Add in some map mods and bobs your uncle.
I just discovered your channel bout a week and a half ago, thanks to another LP'er playing this game (as a joke). I fell in love with the game when ahead and bought it, then said "alright lets find a tutorial". That brought me to your ATS driving school videos, (which I wish you'd finish but just a minor thing) enjoyed your video and subbed to ya and have been watching them. As for what i'd like to see in the future, as long as it's a truck driving one, I personally don't care.
i picked option 1, but have an option 2 idea: do oversize trailers, and for "storyline" make it so that you are a worker in a transport company, you drive any truck that is availible (lets you get random trucks) and you drive with what the boss tells you (you pick it alone ofc)
I originally wanted a full Euro Truck series but for you to do 2 full diaries would be a lot so i voted for option 2. It could be like when you did Euro Truck before and you were in North Africa (modded) and you would ask us what truck to drive in the next job. I also like when you add new mods and show us the ones you recommend. In the end, it's whatever way you can have fun and we can have fun watching. Thanks!
Option 2: You should do what you use to do. Change your truck and review it. Review different trailers and DESTROY THE RENO!!! Make sure U do lots of oversized loads! :) Doughnut
I vote option 2. you should do the largest and/ or heaviest, using different mods and trailer packs.are you planning any more dodgy builder videos, really miss the left leg leap
Here's my 2 cents Squirrel (for what it's worth anyways) I started watching you years ago watching ETS. I really enjoyed all the different trucks and trailers and other mods. It keeps things different from video to video. (i.e. different trucks, trailers and scenery) I love all your trucking videos, don't get me wrong, but I love all the variety more! It also shows lots of us mods that we didn't even know existed and can add them to our own ETS profiles! So yeah mod the shit out of it, switch trucks on a regular basis and have fun! Either way I'm on board just keep on trucking mate =-)
Kind of a hybrid of options 1 and 2 could be cool. Start off with whatever loads and trucks you get as a 'beginner', but wang in loads of mods for different trucks and trailers: that one with the tiny old thing with the MAHOOSIVE electrical substation thing in Italy was v. amusing. But any trucking or OMSI vids are great for me, just keep 'em coming.
speaking of your classic ETS2 vids paul, I have to admit my favorite one is still the one Goin to scandanavia with the Scania factory and test track....best one yet although I really your ATS trucking diaries as I happen to be a truck driver here in the USA. anyway keep the vids up because you do a fabulous job at it...Cheers from America
For option 2: it should be like you own a multi-million dollar company and use whatever truck you want along with trailer and you start at the same spot and maybe use the same truck for 2-3 episodes and then switch. That would make it a diary type thing.
Option 2 and lots of HEAVY LOADS! Love your content Paul keep up the good work. Btw the baobab tree was the best lol. You should try some similar loads in ATS.
Please don't stick with one truck type. I mean everybody and their mother plays a Volvo or a Scania with zillion horsepower, but there are six truck makers in the game plus Renault, so I'd be so glad to see you trying them. The more the better, with multiple engine options, paints, cabins, interiors, etc.
Hi Squirrel, I'm gonna go with Option 3. As you mentioned ETS has been going for a while now, there are loads more people on YP doing series/diaries of ETS than there are doing ones of ATS. Just keep this one going & if it gets to the point you've uncovered everything then stop it completely & do a different sim. Maybe that fairground sim you mentioned 😀
I tried resting at a service station that had the rest emblem and no joy. I had to go to another locale. I am now shifting the Eaton 18 speed with two splitter buttons, splitter and range. Hey I did want to mention, that if you try and go multiplayer you can't have any mods. I had a fleet of Scot trucks since they are cheap, but I am selling them and switching to stock trucks.
The Canada Mod got you. San Francisco has tolls too. Love the idea of the mods, but they kill the mp mode. Oh yeah, I have to laugh, we have the same birthday, 4-26-64 for me, not sure if you are the same age or not.
It would be fun to see like a multiplayer series. Start from scratch and with a friend of yours, start a company or something and progress together. (Is there multiplayer in ETS2?) Good Job on the ATS videos. Really enjoying them.
as an American truck driver and a gamer I really enjoy watching your trucking videos in the sleep of my truck. that being said I would like to see a euro truck sim from the start I think that would be cool.
There are a lot of Combo Skin Packs on the various modding websites, while recording your ETS2 video, you can use a different combo skin pack for each video, so that every video has a fresh look with a new combo skin pack to see.
i Choose option 2 bc i would like to see a series where u drive different huge cargo like the 70 ton log and the train trailer from where u nudged a Renault over the egde bc i really like to see what kinda strugels u have with an oversize load and u have said before that u like when its not a normal trailer... One more thing big shout out from Denmark and happy trucking
3:08 "Leaving El Paso"? ...Texas? The heck? o.O how? 16:35 - 17:23 grin it and bear it, they say ^^' 21:15 - 25:19 like a pro! Now for some reason there were some palm trees in Seattle but I think the topography is just about right. Maybe the mod is a copy-paste, and I might be wrong but there may also be some slight modifications to make them look less like California and Nevada. Something felt different about the scenery and to me that's all that matters lol
It will be cool to see both series play out with random trucks and trailers, lets say three times per week Monday, Wednesday and Friday for two European vids and one american vid which could be possible and will not put a lot of pressure on you. The rest of the days Tuesday and Thursday for some other videos if possible. Btw I love both European and American Trucking Sims! Keep up the good work!
Voted for option 2, ETS series w/o career. Basic structure could be using each of the available trucks, varied deliveries but the deliveries will have specific destinations. For example, on day 1. Start in Germany driving a MAN and visiting France. Then take another truck from Paris to Belgium.
Option 2 but with a twist.... pick a. truck can stay the same if you want, after the first trip that you choose at the end do a straw poll of 3 loads in the job marked and we get to choose your next load/destination for the next video....
Hey Squirrel I just downloaded the mods that allow you to drive to Vancouver and the rest of USA and love it, also now i can drive to that lake where you can rest and McDonald's and BK. Option 1 I like cause I live in the USA and I like to see you play in Europe, just like Tony from Old nerd Gamer he done Euro & American trucking simulator. That toll was for entering Canada i believe. There is a toll also for golden gate bridge. I did Know about checking the box to add another way point Thanks. Yes the AI is acting more weird. some cut me off and others don't see me switching lanes, or if i got green they turn in front of me just cause they got the right on turn. Great video
Vancouver is a copy/paste of Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is the only city on the default map that has a repair center that you have to drive through the rest area to get to it, lol.
I voted for second option and my idea is to stick with one truck that you like and do all the crazy deliverys that you can find with mods and such things (like the boab tree or w/e its called).
Hey Paul, Happy Belated Birthday :D BTW, I notice you made have missed a couple of things.. One at 1:40 you had full size parking lot on your left.that you could have slept. Secondly, That accented at 17:13 was totally your fault!! LOL You were in the wrong lane!! LOL As for you doing the Euro Tuck Diaries? I would have to say NOOOOO!!! Cause, you have to compromise the America Truck videos. If can do both without lack of content... Then be my guess.. :D Happy Trucking!!
You should do normal diary-like videos, then when you get a special trailer in the jobs market (like a Scania Truck, etc.) you just add it into the mix of diary videos.
You could always call the Euro Truck Sim like Extreme Hauling and say you don't do it often cause you only do Heavy Haulin or Extreme high paying loads or somethin like that
I'd hope you try the Sisu C500, R500, C600 mod on ETS2. It is truly well made truck addon with compatibility with everything. Sisu is a FInnish truck manufacturer. The cabins are licensed Renault Premium so they look like one but it looks externally better and it is the true Finnish workhorse truck (military has tons of the military version). Has much better engine selection than Renaults. I know you hate Renaults but nobody hates SISU. Check it out.
When merging unto the highway and to have the A.I. give you the right of way i.e. slow down and let you in, put you four-way signals on, it seem to work for Jeff Favignano, also a player of this game he uses that and it works for him. It might work for you. Keep up the good work.
for you question about Trucking Diaries EU, i would have to say option 1 and option 2. but when i say that i mean sort of like doing the trucking diaries series, and if now and then random truck and trailer. If that isnt something that you're into, then possibly just continue with ATS Trucking Diaries, and then possibly do option 2 (random truck and random trailer) in ETS2 because personally i am missing the ETS2 content that you used to put out. But hay, this is all my own opinion.
Hi Paul. I am one of the followers of yours. Do your job whatever it will be, I do enjoy everything so much. I have choosen option 1 though. Thanks Mate
Hey Squirrel, I would love to have a ets2 diarys, I love your videos and tune into the steams as much as I can, I have been subbed for 3 years, my first video was "BULLDOZER - Linz to Duisburg - Euro Truck Simulator 2 - ETS2 inc Track IR" and I loved it. I even remember you old name DaSquirrelsNuts. Keep up the great work and my favorite videos are the ets2 disasters and those moments
My Idea would be not a series as such but take a truck types you have not done before, a DAF XF, Renault Magnum, Iveco and with the full promods map start in iceland or something like that and journey around the map doing the oddest delivery you can find. But to add to it you have to start with a total base spec truck no accessories, lowest power cheapset gearbox etc, no squirrel skin and slowly spec it all the way up with the money made from the deliveries..
Personallly I'd go for option2 as a best of both worlds. I've not played ETS2 for a long time and would be good to see how thw carear thing progresses and see if I want to go back to it again.
With ETS you could do the random truck idea but stick to the city you last delivered to...i.e you deliver to Madrid and end that episode, then for you next episode you have to start from Madrid in a new truck...basically you are a free lance driver.
i was at truckfest all weekend and you went the day i left lmao, never works out right for me haha and there was over 2000 trucks this year mate im glad to be where i am because it is right between newark and peterborough lol
I picked option 2, I would like to see you do a few videos in one truck then a few in a truck from a different manufacturer, and so on. Also I would like to see you do more mod reviews for ETS2.
"That's the bizarrest moment of my life, this week"
~ Squirrel 2016
i went for option 2, and i think you should buy a scania/volvo/whatever you want to drive in the series and just show us random deliveries all around the EU, with occasional quick jobs with different trucks, with you reviewing them.
Happy birthday....4 years from the future. Watching through ats diaries and enjoying every moment
Paul, when you come down the on-ramps, you can use your four way/hazard blinkers to make the AI "behave" and let you in the lane.
hey paul long time man i was one of your long subcribers i been here since 15k im glad you are having success with 400k now i am proud of u paul keep it up !!!.!
+trevon bardwell Epic! :)
+DEVILISH TUBER track ir
Do you know if I could replicate this free movement with a controller joystick? I'm building a PC so I'm trying to figure out what I need for controls here, I have some old PS3 controllers that still work well so I was hoping to use those and save some money.
+Jeff M i have no idea it might be but lots of People just use the mouse
Good to know, I don't mind using the mouse if I have to, thanks!
Option 2: American truck diaries goes Europe, imagine your U.S. company goes international it has capital, it can buy a truck or 2 and start the european dream solid, and haul special stuff on normal roads or normal stuff on special roads. :) Keep on truckin' !
Been to truckfest P'boro every year for a long time, taking a truck in is brilliant.
very belatedly, I think the toll booth you hit in this episode was intended to mark the Blaine / Surrey border checkpoint.
I would like option 3/4, 3 being the random videos with random trucks and random cargo but the 4 being add more weird and wonderful truck mods, try find trucks you have never driven, i've even seen people drive buses! no idea how that works with delivering jobs but yeah thats my choice.
John Higgins 2 is being a good chance
I subscribed to your channel because of American Truck Sim series. I enjoyed this content so much; you did fantastic job to keep me entertained. I think Euro Truck Sim will be great for your channel especially I started to watch ATS series kind of late like 20 episodes behind. I think that some sort of periodic mini-series with mods based on that idea would be great. Thanks for all of the incredible quality videos and streams!
I like option B paul, for structure i think just same like in twitch. Change trucks everytime you finish the job in a particular town
Trucking Diaries EU - New Career Mode is what i'd like to see. Thanks for considering our opinion before making videos Paul. really appreciate it. Keep the truckin videos coming! :)
28:57 I think that's a box truck, not an ambulance.
option one, start in UK like last time, but this time keep the RHD, will make it a challenge when you cross into Europe. keep the vids coming Paul they are always a highlight of my week
There is one toll road in ATS that I know of and it's to go over the bridge into San Francisco, only that one you can go through the gate or keep far right and bypass the gate but you still pay.
I get the lack of 'ding' problem all the bloody time and even in proper parking bays for rest areas. It's a big problem and very annoying.
I have issues with the stupid a.i spawning on top of my trailer making me take damage lol
+Toshiro Yamada lol
Hey Paul, you mentioned a tip about the map on how you added a couple of stops towards the end of the video, that's the main reason I watch your video's. I hope you keep giving tips on how things work and what mods would be a good add on. I know a lot of your viewers already know things you mention but a lot of your viewers like me don't so please keep coming with the tips.
Hey Paul,,, option 3 is my choice,,,, If it turns out to be option 2,,, Set up a truck and use that for all those video's, just like a true owner operator. option 1 start from scratch series . with some mods mostly trucks from steam work shop. also through in some squirrel news and ask squirrel questions
Hi Squirrel, I voted option 2. Sticking with the same truck in the series sounds like a good idea and seems like the best way to keep consistency.
Definitely option 1.5 where you do a full career and sometimes throw in the occasional random truck and trailer! That's my vote!
I would love to see you do an EU trucking diaries. If you do, please use the ProMods Map
Since I discovered 'cruise control' it's changed the sim for me! I love it even more now.
lol 16:36 that car in the rearview mirror completely drove into your truck but you still got fined
I originally wanted a full Euro Truck series but for you to do 2 full diaries would be a lot so i voted for option 2. There's no toll road on Interstate Five anywhere along it's stretch from the Mexican to Canadian boarder.
Also use a scania with a v8 sound mod. The most beautiful sounding truck in the world
+Charles Lowry just voted for #2 and saw that #1 is winning by a landslide. At any rate please try to get a Scania v8 and pull some heavy loads
Please don't stick with one truck type. I mean everybody and their mother plays a Volvo or a Scania with zillion horsepower, but there are six truck makers in the game plus Renault, so I'd be so glad to see you trying them. Good Job on the ATS videos. Really enjoying them.
as an American truck driver and a gamer I really enjoy watching your trucking videos in the sleep of my truck. that being said I would like to see a euro truck sim from the start I think that would be cool.
Anybody else catch the sign that read Leaving El Paso right after the hotel rest stop. Neat trick considering he was in Portland Or.
I don't like that you don't get a ding anymore at rest areas, hitching trailers up, dropping off trailers or at weigh bridges.
Rostock is my hometown... always feeling honored when he's mentioning the disaster :D
I'm happy with anything, as long as there is truck videos! :)
I really do miss the train Sims alot. also the ones when you do the battleships are cool too just a mixture of those are good also in the mix.
Paul do what ever you want to do, if subs are loyal they won't care as long as you keep making grate content.
There are a lot of Combo Skin Packs on the various modding websites, while recording your ETS2 video, you can use a different combo skin pack for each video, so that every video has a fresh look with a new combo skin pack to see.

Getting a new video every 10 days makes ant kind of career pointless. I know you have other priorities but give your youtube channel more love.
you should start a farm sim 15 series that would be great on your channel or do mod spot lights.
Farm sum 17 is out soon. he might do that
Your right he should trie it
+reece duggan Why, you don't get enough Farm Sim with Alex?
+Aaron Takel sim*
+Thom Marion who is alex
option 1 works with me, because the random truck/trailer will come along with the actua career mode. They should eventually have both.
I voted option 2. Have random trailers and trucks. Move oversize trailers. Maybe a oversize series?
Your traffic observations sounds about right for America.
Voted for option 2, ETS series w/o career. Basic structure could be using each of the available trucks, varied deliveries but the deliveries will have specific destinations. For example, on day 1. Start in Germany driving a MAN and visiting France. Then take another truck from Paris to Belgium.
For option 2 start in a place then go from place to place but every episode change truck or every other episode
I choose for option 2 as I find it more entertaining to do random trucks and jobs all over europe.
LOL
As for you doing the Euro Tuck Diaries? I would have to say NOOOOO!!! Cause, you have to compromise the America Truck videos. If can do both without lack of content... Then be my guess.. :D
Happy Trucking!!
Option 1 is great!!
And both truck sim are very enjoyable!!
The USA TRUCK trailer you hauled is interesting since I own stock in the USA TRUCK Co. yea!
You should do normal diary-like videos, then when you get a special trailer in the jobs market (like a Scania Truck, etc.) you just add it into the mix of diary videos.
Your very entertaining Squirrel, so any trucking videos are alright with me!
i chose option 1, even though ets2 is 3 years old now there is promods rus map and even more added in the future, it would be great.
Totally agree with mod using in ETS2. Keep up the good videos!
that wasn´t a toll booth that was the border! :) welcome to canada
Just random loads and do things such as the 70 tonne volvo and other tines just do normal roads or maybe even some map mod with small road.
Thanks Mate
I choose option 2 because you can tell your subs to vote on what truck and trailer that they wanted and you drive them on ets 2.
With ETS you could do the random truck idea but stick to the city you last delivered to...i.e you deliver to Madrid and end that episode, then for you next episode you have to start from Madrid in a new truck...basically you are a free lance driver.
number one EU Series
Go all over the eu and get some nice mods in it change your truck some times. Also try to get some nice maps in the game
i was at truckfest all weekend and you went the day i left lmao, never works out right for me haha and there was over 2000 trucks this year mate im glad to be where i am because it is right between newark and peterborough lol
do number 2. structure it like a challenge series with difficult combos. heavy trailer, low power truck. just make it progressively harder
Every time I see a custom map, that is either just all roads with barren terrain, or really bad issues like this one, it always makes me cringe.
option 2 sound really good drive a truck and take 5 loads and then switch truck and take 5 other loads
I would love either but would prefer a career play through as it would be interesting to use truck and map mods right from the off
I picked option 2, I would like to see you do a few videos in one truck then a few in a truck from a different manufacturer, and so on. Also I would like to see you do more mod reviews for ETS2.
I would be happy with just random stuff in ets2, but it would mean compmaris between ATS and ETS. But it could and should work.
